Both passes were bad. Had Goff not hesitated on the first, it was an easy TD catch. The second was slightly underthrown. Both times the DBs were too close to balls that were poorly thrown and got their hands on the ball or their bodies into the receivers. The receivers had beaten their men both times.by maserati - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams had no answer for NE's defensive front. Couldn't run and there was someone in Goff's face all game. Most of the time the Rams receivers were not open. Well covered! Despite all this, Goff had 2 chances to possibly win the game with passes into the end zone. He waited too long on one (the receiver - Cooks or Woods - don't remember) was wide open and Goff waited too long and theby maserati - RamsFootballFans.com

Back in the GSOT days, defensive players could beat up receivers and smash the QB. Can't do that today. Offensive holding can be called on every play now, but it isn't. Even Deacon Jones might have a lot less sacks because of it. I wonder how many sacks Aaron Donald would have had back in the 60s? The defenses have been neutered since those days, so the GSOT would have been even better nowby maserati - RamsFootballFans.com
As an assistant high school football coach for a multi-county-championship team, we ALWAYS take the ball. Then game has to come to us. Teams often play differently when behind. It also shows that we can score on any team.by maserati - RamsFootballFans.com
If the face mask penalty on Goff was called, the score would probably have been different. Odds suggest a TD. The odds of that exact same (interference) pass play even happening would have been astronomical. There would have been thousands of possible scenarios. The same outcome would have never happened. Good or bad for each team.by maserati - RamsFootballFans.com

I LUV the BLUES! The helmets are great especially with the white face masks. They are unique. A new era has begun which reflects the glory days of LA.by maserati - RamsFootballFans.com
I saw a clip saying that the NFL discussed using a 15 yard penalty on defensive pass interference. As a high school football coach, we teach our defensive backs to grab the receiver if they think that they will be beaten on a pass play because it's only a 15 yard penalty. If the NFL did that it would ruin the game. Maybe instead make it a 30 yard penalty and half the distance to the goal whenby maserati - RamsFootballFans.com
Well you saw more than I did, but his bombs well ALL short and he appeared to have the time. On to next year!by maserati - RamsFootballFans.com
Goff waited too long on many of his passes last night. His indecision made it easy for the DBs to defend many of his throws. The WRs appeared open, but the balls got there too late. Also, all of his long passes were short and easily broken up. Only experience can rectify this. Still a great season.by maserati - RamsFootballFans.com
This was the first time I saw the new "Old Blue & Whites." The LA Rams that I first rooted for back in 1966 are back. Anyone else excited?by maserati - RamsFootballFans.com

Excellent profile of the Rams' draft class. Certainly a positive step to improve the team considering the lack of high choices. Glad you took a step back after the draft to research the players rather than just repeat all the post draft quotes. My biggest concern is that I worry about how Aaron Donald - the Rams' best defensive player - will fit into a 3-4 defense. Usually teams employ a 340 lby maserati - RamsFootballFans.com
Back when the Rams had Todd "Turnstyle" Stussie, a friend once said that the Rams should replace him with a folding chair. Then at least the DE would have to move it or run around it. Last year's O line was similar. I hope they can do better this season.by maserati - RamsFootballFans.com
