Back in the GSOT days, defensive players could beat up receivers
and smash the QB. Can't do that today. Offensive holding can be
called on every play now, but it isn't. Even Deacon Jones might have
a lot less sacks because of it. I wonder how many sacks Aaron Donald
would have had back in the 60s? The defenses have been neutered
since those days, so the GSOT would have been even better now.
