With all the new (and old) additions to the D, how do you project opposing offenses will try to attack? How will the Rams D counter punch? I'm not an expert at the Xs and Os, but at the 10,000 foot level, here's what I predict: - Opposing Offenses will not dramatically change how they will try to attack the Rams passing D. They will attempt to get rid of the ball quickly before rush collby BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Exactly! Forbes as CB3 sounds fine until CB1 or CB2 get hurt. Or, opposing offenses go 5 wide. <gulp>by BamRam - Rams Chronicles
Voted No. It's close... very close. IMO 2001 Rams had a better roster. Just going by NFL HOF players: 2001 - Warner, Bruce, Faulk, A. Williams, Pace, Holt (not in HOF but should be) 2026 - (Projected) Stafford, Adams, Nacua, Garrett, McDuffie?by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
My daughter is taking me to visit Cali for my first ever Rams game in LA! Plan is to fly into SF for Niners game in Levi, drive down the coast for some sightseeing and then go to Cowboys game the next week at SoFi. Ticketmaster prices for SoFi are crazy!! $2000 each for a relatively decent seat. Every home game we're commenting on how many opposing fans are showing up at SoFi. QuoteCoy Bacon I'm really looking forward to seeing what MG does to the 9ers. I know AD coming back isn't reality. But I have visions of the sheer panic in Sam Darnold's eyes when both AD and MG are collapsing the pocket around him. :seahawksblowupby BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteLMU93The problems began with the coverage units. EXACTLY!! Rams were absolutely awful at punt coverage. Per NFL.com 2025 team stats: - 27th in punt yards allowed (16 avg yards per returned punt was 32nd in NFL). Punt Coverage: Better gunners (players and/or coaching). Better tackling. Better block shedding. Better lane discipline. Better scheme. Per NFL.com 2025 teaby BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com

Chose Rasual Douglas. I'm still very concerned about quality and quantity of CB depth. Douglas would be a nice veteran CB3. Thinking about Forbes as CB3 is going to give me nightmares in December and January. BTW. Would prefer Jennings but don't think Rams will pay his asking price.by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Voted for Drey Norwood. Think CB is the one position where there's opportunity for UDFA to get significant playing time. Not a fan of Nikhai Hill-Green. Bama LBs where mostly terrible at run fits and shedding blocks. Hope I'm wrong...by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Good analysis. I'd only add that his WRs were also suspect. Other than Germie Bernard, their drop rate was historically bad (for Alabama). They also lost their best TE, Josh Cueves, who was injured near end of season. Essentially, Ty Simpson was the Bama offense. No OL; no running game, few reliable receivers. Hard to judge his true QB ability and whether he's injury prone or not.by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
It'd be unimaginable that this selection was made without full concurrence from Stafford. If Stafford wasn't on board with grooming his successor (not replacement), this pick wouldn't have been made. McVay, Snead, Stafford (maybe Kroenke too) all agreed with the selection. And more importantly, they agreed on path forward over the next few years. Ty Simpson was a very big picture draft pick!by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteheadslapper McVay mentioned Stetson a ton There's going to be some friendly ribbing in the QB room. Two Georgia QBs and a Bama QB. Would love to hear some of that back and forth, lol.by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
If we were to list all the traits that McSnead look for in players, Ty Simpson checks all the boxes. We not me; team loyalty, extreme work ethic, never quit, smart, tough, etc. I mean he's almost a poster child for the "Rams Way". He's an absolutely perfect fit for this team. But because fans (me included) believe he was drafted much too early, a crap ton of anger and frustration isby BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Bain and Lemon on the board and Rams choose... Simpson? As a Bama fan I love Simpson as a person, but his play on the field is simply not worthy of #13. Hope I'm wrong.by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Small trade back - Bostonby BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Love would be a great addition to Rams. But there's no way he gets significant playing time, especially early in the season. McVay simply will not trust Love to pick up blitzes and protect Stafford. I just don't see Rams giving up draft capital to move up and take Love. If Love drops into their lap at #13, then sure run to the podium and call out his name, lol.by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
This is a great question. Is the 2026 defense (on paper) enough? No. The two new CBs simply bring Rams back on par with other top 10 defenses. But the defense still lacks a true 2nd/3rd level impact player that opposing offenses must account for when game planning (e.g. Downs, Styles, etc). Adding another impact player likely makes Rams a top 3 defense. I think we should all expect somby BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteDrew2839 Rams May Have Fired a Warning Shot at Puka Nacua <Snip> The article suggesting Rams pursued Brown to send Puka a message about his off-field actions is dumb. Brown is older and been a headcase most of his career. If Rams wanted to send a message to Puka, Brown wouldn't be the guy they'd pursue. There are legitimate reasons for Rams to inquire about Brown. If Rams are looking for a head-case WR I'd rather have Jennings. Doesn't cost draft picks and he gets to destroy Niners twice a season.by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
He'd be really hard to pass up at 13. Rams would definitely ask what Jets (16th), Lions (17th), Cowboys (20th) would offer because Ravens will almost certainly take him with 14th. Also depends on other players still on board.by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm a Ty Simpson fan. He played behind a terrible OL, no running game, and his receivers dropped a ton of passes. Before playing hurt he put up really good numbers. He's also a great kid who will be a positive influence in the locker room. Having said that, I doubt he's going to be a great NFL QB; definitely not immediately. So, my take is that if he's sitting there at 13, Rams are going toby BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotesince68 Maybe Jauan Jennings' asking price is falling a bit? He'd significantly upgrade Rams offense. With that massive chip on his shoulder, can you imagine him destroying Niners twice a year while wearing horns? Wow!by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemerlin Secondly if we lose Stafford our title hopes are done. None of those experienced backups change that equation. . Agree 100% with your analysis if Stafford goes down for the season. Rams might make playoffs but likely not. They certainly won't win a ring. The more likely scenario, IMO, is Stafford going down for 4-8 weeks. In this scenario, who could keep the ship afloat til Staby BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotesstrams Well, imo, anyway.. Yeah, it comes down to whether Cousins is willing to be QB2 on a championship team for less money; or QB1 on a middling team for more money. He did just collect $100M guaranteed from Falcons. So maybe...by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I really don't think Rams will put their QB2 fate in the hands of an inexperienced player (e.g. Bennett or rookie). So, who do you predict Rams will sign as QB2? I'd guess Garoppolo as their first choice, but adding Cousins would be a homerun IMO.by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
What's your list of remaining "need" positions? I'm thinking Swing OT WR3 KR CB3/CB4 Gunners (probably our least discussed need) QB (backup) What's your list of "nice to upgrade" positions? I'm thinking C ILB RB (breakaway speed) Edge Kicker That's a pretty small list compared to virtually every other NFL team!by BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com
