With all the new (and old) additions to the D, how do you project opposing offenses will try to attack? How will the Rams D counter punch? I'm not an expert at the Xs and Os, but at the 10,000 foot level, here's what I predict: - Opposing Offenses will not dramatically change how they will try to attack the Rams passing D. My daughter is taking me to visit Cali for my first ever Rams game in LA! Plan is to fly into SF for Niners game in Levi, drive down the coast for some sightseeing and then go to Cowboys game the next week at SoFi. Ticketmaster prices for SoFi are crazy!! $2000 each for a relatively decent seat. Every home game we're commenting on how many opposing fans are showing up at SoFi. Chose Rasual Douglas. I'm still very concerned about quality and quantity of CB depth. Douglas would be a nice veteran CB3. Good analysis. I'd only add that his WRs were also suspect. Other than Germie Bernard, their drop rate was historically bad (for Alabama). They also lost their best TE, Josh Cueves, who was injured near end of season. Essentially, Ty Simpson was the Bama offense. No OL; no running game, few reliable receivers. It'd be unimaginable that this selection was made without full concurrence from Stafford. If Stafford wasn't on board with grooming his successor (not replacement), this pick wouldn't have been made. McVay, Snead, Stafford (maybe Kroenke too) all agreed with the selection. And more importantly, they agreed on path forward over the next few years. If we were to list all the traits that McSnead look for in players, Ty Simpson checks all the boxes. We not me; team loyalty, extreme work ethic, never quit, smart, tough, etc. I mean he's almost a poster child for the "Rams Way". He's an absolutely perfect fit for this team. Love would be a great addition to Rams. But there's no way he gets significant playing time, especially early in the season. McVay simply will not trust Love to pick up blitzes and protect Stafford. This is a great question. Is the 2026 defense (on paper) enough? No. The two new CBs simply bring Rams back on par with other top 10 defenses. But the defense still lacks a true 2nd/3rd level impact player that opposing offenses must account for when game planning (e.g. Downs, Styles, etc). Adding another impact player likely makes Rams a top 3 defense. I think we should all expect somby BamRam - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm a Ty Simpson fan. He played behind a terrible OL, no running game, and his receivers dropped a ton of passes. Before playing hurt he put up really good numbers. He's also a great kid who will be a positive influence in the locker room. Having said that, I doubt he's going to be a great NFL QB; definitely not immediately.
