He could learn a lot from other coaches by just shutting his mouth. But he can't help himself. His comments on the offense were so stupid it defies logic. The defense lost that game. Some of his dumb play calls lost that game. For a former TE coach, he sure seems to hate the position; it's invisible on the Rams. The defense laid an egg last night and it was a golden opportunity to praise thby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
not going to talk people into looking at it objectively. But I will say this....for all the people that want Goff gone, they better be careful what they wish for or hope they can get a superstar in his place. McVay better catch his breath.....he is in dangerous territory with this entire thing.....and anyone can feel free to save this post and quote me on it. Look no further than Doug Pedersby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
His personal weaknesses are shining through. You're going to get people to act like Jared Goff is the entire problem with this team....but it always starts at the top.....and I've come away from this season a lot less impressed with McVay. He looks petulant and like a guy that as headed straight for burnout. Get his butt kicked by his buddies in the coaching ranks is starting to grind on him.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
He has big time challenges now. Coaching staff is in flux. He has decided to alienate his QB. He is set to lose several key players on the defense, including one of it's captains. His offense has been figured out by everyone....and with each coach leaving, another potential 'insider' enemy is born. His most challenging off season yet. I wish I was more confident.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I see what you've done here.....and the responses.....are interesting. B)by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
....its incredible how ignored they are in L.A.....clearly making a move to change that....but never see it happening. Still.....Rams need to provide a better a product and keep them at bay. Chargers and Clippers can hang out together.....:goodluckby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
More info on OL requested......keep it coming! I agree, I think we lose JJ....sucks, the Rams developed him. Looking for the biggest, nastiest OL you can send our way.....by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
....an offense built around his strengths.....come what may. Interesting coaching idea B)by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Young, innovative coach (bet he doesn't run much of McVay's offense, calling it now).....FANTASTIC young QB, great talent on defense, great WR and RB's. ....in SoFi, with the league's best uniforms and branding. The Rams....and McVay.....have their work cut our for them in building the Ram's fan base.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Just curious the opinions.......by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Losing to the Jets and 49ers cost them a bye week.....and likely a path to the Super Bowl. I don't think either of these teams beat the Rams.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Very strange that fans miss that point....building an offense to his QB's strength is his most important job.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
......all to pick up 3 yards. Where he would then burn a timeout and look exasperated at the QB. Out of the time out go to three straight empty sets :peaceby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Just curious. In addition, I like McVay and thinks he is special. But he is in a rut. It's been two seasons of this rut now and looked worse this year. It's okay if you don't agree....but this offense doesn't remotely look like the 2018 offense.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I've just been avoiding your posts due to how colored you've become on Goff. That's fine if you believe he isn't good enough, I respect that ,but I do NOT agree.... There is mountains of proof that McVay, the leader of this organization, is not doing a good job. Consider it .. look at it objectively. I'm not trying to defend Goff at all cost, I'm trying to objectively look at where/whenby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Shanahan would make that trade yesterday.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
All too familiar for the Rams. Beyond disappointing. Someone should tell him to shut his mouth. But not sure there is anyone tough enough to do it. I'm guessing he has been claiming everything is Jared's fault. Good luck with that.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
And I think McVay has made a critical error. Very reminiscent of Martz and Warner. He has officially done a really bad job this season.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
....the last few weeks have been telling.... Wondering if Snead will address some of this with him personally.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree with all of that. I came away from his post gamer presser thinking a couple of things. 1. He's upset, he just lost to his best friend, that has to sting and it's too soon for him to say anything 2. He's alienating Goff and it's a BIG mistake that can hurt this team for a long time 3. Poor Cam Akers, who has already been hurt..... he's about to be run into the ground next season. (anby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
....and it's refreshing to see others are now realizing 'something' is very wrong here. Brace yourself Ram's fans....be careful what you hope for.....lets hope other, more tenured leaders in the organization get involved. Not to be underestimated: we are losing many great to good role players to free agency this year. That list hurts your stomach. He wants a QB with four quarters of NFL foby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Exactly. His comments about that drive were just nuts. Even the L.A. media reporters were like 'huh?' The play calling and scheme have become painful to watch and it started in the very first game this season. As nicely as I can say it, he has 'jumped the tracks'. It's popular to point out a QB's deficiencies and lay the blame on him, but it isn't honest or factual. The Ram's brass are in rarby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Always appreciate your balanced posts Deadpool. Exactly. His offense has regressed and entirely too simple. Coaches and peers are on to it. It's painful to watch at times.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
He's innovative. And I'd like to remind everyone here that they said the exact same thing about Martz. How is the genius doing these days? He is smart, innovative and competitive. His personality hurt the team the past two seasons. Coaches are on to him and his 'scheme'..... just like they were with Gilman, Coryell, Martz, June Jones....the Run & Shoot, the Air Raid...on and on...for evby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
He wants things done his way and won't change. Yesterday's pre game interview where they spoke to Shanahan about his competitive nature and desire to beat LaFleur so bad at ANYTHING was telling. Shanahan said he was throwing up and he had to go to him about chilling out. McVay is acting like Martz now. My scheme, my way. Doesn't matter if the OL isn't good or the QB has pins in his hand. Hby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
His postgame comments were terrible and his weaknesses have actually hurt the team this season....and frankly, they were starting to show early LAST season. You don't micromanage a quarterback, you DEVELOP a quarterback. In my opinion, what was helping Goff adjust to the NFL in the beginning hit a point where it was actually hurting him. It's like McVay taught him to ride a bike but continuesby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
