You are totally correct--they are one errant, bad throw from Garoppolo from winning the Super Bowl. However, history and data suggests that the whiners defensive performance of last year is not sustainable. And almost never repeats year on year. Variables will change next year for the whiners--they will be the hunted, and their defensive contribution to winning will lessen. As always, the qb wby rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Playing around with some NFL data and used some code from Ben Baldwin(great twitter follow and Seattle columnist for the Athletic) to generate 3 graphs that I believe tell a compelling story. The graphs map team EPA for Offense and Defense over the 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons, Top right is best, bottom left worst. Top Left is bad offense, good defense. Bottom Right good offense, bad defense.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
thats also scheme--running zone for short yardage doesnt give a rb much of a chance vs run blitzes. gurley was awesome. i hope this revisionist history ends soon and people can respect what he gave.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
My guess is that we play alot of 5/6 dbs. Our edge situation is fine imo. We have alot of bodies with potential. Ilb same story with less potential. Bet Rapp becomes the ilb in passing situations. Team might not value this position and has high opinions of what is currently on the roster. Our dbs are our strength so I would expect them to play six plus a decent amount of the time. Hes got to make the team first. Definitely worth a 7th rounder.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Not sure about rbs but in regards to WRs I am pretty convinced that McVay will not spend anytime on developmental WRs. McVay wants pros with highly developed Wr skills. His history Woods Kupp Watkins Cooks Jefferson If McVay is right--if he can get a deep threat out of this offense McVay is the man. I respect him and will give him the benefit of the doubt. And I loved me some DMimsby rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Really appreciate your intel and great attitude Dead. You make this board alot better. Thanks a lot man.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Can say the same about the ilb position. The current players need to come through this year at those positions.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Hopkins cant block. Doubt you will ever see him on the line.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
These players are quite similar. Do the additions of Hopkins and Jefferson mean the end of Everett and Kupp? Does Jefferson make the field this year? I have to think Jefferson is our new X. Otherwise, why take a pro ready guy with a DMims available. How does Hopkins see the field given he cant block? Is he depth insurance? I'm all for adding good players but I hope there is a plan to getby rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Did the only correct thing and took Burrow. Got an excellent iso, big, catch point WR. And now added two solid, coverage plus lbs. Wilson maybe a little early but maybe they are paying a premium for a future leader. Great draft. Compare that to what the Packers are doing with LaFleur and it is light years different. Packers are having a historically bad draft imo.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
If they have ten tes on the field Trubisky might hit one.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com

For true, would love to see K Robinson picked later. Good player.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sure. Blythe gets a bad rep on this board. He is a fine center--a position that I want to pay 3 mil per year on and have a dependable guy play. Biadasz is the most overrated player on this board. His tape is bad, his athleticism is bad, and he is not a scheme fit imo.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Long playing the slot. Burgess playing ILB on passing downs. Think covering rbs--mixing up responsibilities with Rapp.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com

Im a Florida alum and fan. Polite was lazy and in it for the money. If that changed great. But he absolutely has to prove it--I will never expect anything from that kid.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Great player. Hope he stays healthy. First pick im happy with. So thats a start.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com

But center is a marginally important position. Are you ever resigning a center to a 12 mil plus second contract? We can win with Blythe--Allen i dont know. Allen looked really bad to me last year. Spend your picks on positions that valuable and cost money. If you hit then you win on the field and with the salary cap. Center is a cerebral position and I am fine with an experienced guy like Blytby rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the Gurley rage is silly. When he produced and everybody loved him he was overrated--he was running through holes anyone could get twenty plus yards from. Then in 19 when those holes werent there it is all Gurley's fault. Please. I didnt see much of, if any, decline in Gurley. He was a monster inside the 10. The offense was the problem. No deep threat, no blocking, too often playing fby rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
