I know one thing.......Goff is coming around just fine, and to rush him would be a big mistake. I want us to win EARLY and get out of the gates fast this season. Thus, Keenum will get the nod. Problem is, some Fans do not understand that Fisher has been saying this all along, yet fans get upset that our #1 pick is not starting. Let Fisher Coach and stop wondering how much time he spends wiby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Just wondering how you would know all that. What you see on TV and Hard Knocks is just a tidbit of what actually goes on. Plus, when it comes to showing any plays or actual "Coaching in Classroom" there is nothing shown. No NFL HC is going to ever let that be filmed, so to say Fisher is never with Goff is not really accurate. I bet he makes his way around to all the meetings and is sby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I would give Goff all the reps I can tonight......Then, when he is ready and earns the right to start, then we can go in that direction. Just like Fisher has been saying ever since we drafted Goff......Keenum is our starter until Jared is ready.by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Keenum has been the best QB in pre-season, simple as that. Mannion had one good game. Goff has done both good and bad, but flashed really good at times. To go in to week #1 with a limited playbook, not a good idea. Play Case because he clearly is our best QB right now......Until he gets injured or somebody at QB is better than him, Keenum is our starter.......And, we will win with him at QB...by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Never want to hear news like that. He throws right handed, so dropping back to throw, grabbing his left leg. There must be something more.by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Tired of them. They had more penalties than dropped passes tonight, and that sums it up in a nutshell. 1. WR's......I am sure that your coach has told you, anyone that catch the football can make this team. All you have to do is catch it. Seems to me there are only a few guys that can do that. 2. Penalties.........Lack of discipline will kill you. Heck, the first play on defense tonight waby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
We kicked their butts in recent years......About 10 highlight hits a year or 2 ago where the defense literally de-cleated about 4 WR's on crossing routes. I agree............it is going to be a great test to see how we are improving as a team. First road game action......by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
This guy takes the easy way out to make a statement........Why not donate all the millions of dollars you made from playing a game to all the organizations that actually help people in need. Maybe help fix up housing in the big cities.....Do something that will make a difference or help a cause with all the money you made in the USA?by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Let him get in some type of rhythm, break a good sweat and see if he can get to the QB. He has not played in a long time. Let's kick the rust off and have him see where he is at physically........It's time to find out where he is at as a football player.by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Totally agree that we have a great situation at RB.....I just think behind our OL that Gurley is going to set the NFL on fire this season. Adding Mike Groh to help coordinate the offense and put together a legit passing attack is going to get this offense moving. I bet Gurley will become an all around threat because the second the defense stacks up in the box, #30 will motion out of the backfieldby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
We have the WR's and TE's to spread the defense, so we will not be facing 8-9 in the box or we will pick apart a defense with the pass. Our QB's are accurate enough to make throws and not force things. What I was saying is that #30 is good, REALLY GOOD.....Eric Dickerson Good. If he stays healthy for all 16 games and our passing game can develop, with Gase and Boras we should be able to move tby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
OL gets another starter back......Love it!by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
When I go to Rams Camp, which has been 5-6 times this summer, there is absolutely no mistaking the best player on the field. It is #30 my fellow Ram Fans. He is simply Big and Fast. He is Eric Dickerson fast. Defenders have an angle on him, then he is not there to even get a hand on him. Also, the guy can catch the football, in his hands, not chest. He breaks tackles and gets yards after contaby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
A couple of big fights broke out.....Not in full pads, just shoulder pads, helmets and shorts. First one was Benny Cunningham, took a short run, went head on with a corner, bounced off and just jogged towards middle of field to finish off play, got to Ogletree and then AO just lowered his shoulder and gave Benny the biggest cheap shot I have seen in a long time. All hell breaks loose.....Bennyby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I would hit her as hard as I could, like I would any other football player. Then, I would look back and say, "Remember the time when you...." :):):) Why? Because I am not going to let the player behind me to ever have a chance to take my starting job. I worked too hard, studied too much film and played through too much pain to earn it. I just hope there are still players like thaby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Get low, listen to Singletary, make the calls for the defense and he will be an outstanding MLB in the NFL. Stay high, don't bend the hips, try to get by on athletic talent alone, and AO will never reach his true ability. It's all up to AO to decide. All I know is if Singletary is telling me how to play LB, then I am all ears and running around like a mad dog at practice. Plus, I would knowby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
We are not deep at QB until we see them all in action. We know Keenum is the starter, we know Goff is in his first 2 games in the NFL. I am curious to see what Mannion gives us as a player with the #1 unit.by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Look at it this way. Mannion looks the best and brings them back vs, the Cowboys for a win. Then, gets zero reps vs. KC? I mean, the guy can sling the rock. Look at out QB history....... Haden gets hurt, Ferragamo comes in and leads us to Super Bowl. Green gets hurt, Warner comes in, we all know the story. My point, Mannion may be our starting QB, We will never know until he plays some qby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean, 3 TD's in the second half to beat the Cowboys. I really think he should start game 3 and let's see if he is ready to be #1......or at least challenge for it.by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Simple. Quick is in year 3, the rookies are just that, rookies. A 4 year vet, who already knows the playbook should not even be in the same conversation. Yet, Quick finds himself still in that roster battle. I say trade Quick.......We need to get something for him and teams will make a trade. Get some secondary help. I prefer to go with Duke, McRoberts, Thomas, Richards, Hill.........Any ofby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Al Davis in plain and simple English. All I know is I don't really care who starts at QB, FS, WR, DE.....ect, ect ect.... The best players will rise to the top and earn the right for playing time. My first goal for this team is to win the division title and if they did it, and my Mom was QB, then I would be just fine. Playoff football is long overdue for this franchise and a little competiby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Go back and watch the first series vs. KC. We were 50/50 run vs. pass on offense.....Keenum underthrow was a TD, which I liked because we actually had a play call that was designed to "throw it deep". Gurley, well he makes ANY O-Line look good, but the boys up front were getting push and creating space. Plus, we were down 7-0, and our Offense marched down and matched the TD with Gurby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I am just curious to understand your logic because I was also wondering why Williams basically has no thrown balls to him all pre-season. Thanks.........by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Quick does not have a hall pass this season. He needs to BE THE GUY. He needs to put pressure on Britt and unseed him for the starting job. Instead, Britt is our #1 by default because nobody is stepping up and challenging him for the job. I think Cooper and Spruce are in....Why? Because they catch the flippin" football...Austin is in because he is a game changer......The rest of our WR'sby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Yip.....Pass was totally short and was only about 45-50 yds in the air. WR was open and QB could not lead him for an easy TD if the pass was longer. No pass interference if ball was on the money.by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with everything you said GRITS. We need to clean it up on defense, continue to improve on offense and grow as a unit. The WR's you mentioned are the guys we need to step up and become players. We need them to raise the level of our WR play. Mannion, needs to keep the heat on the other QB's.....I would love for him to push Case for the starting job. Goff, go in there this week and keby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Keenum, Mannion and Goff all keep getting better. In fact, I hope Mannion rises to the top and starts. Why? Because then Goff will get the same treatment Mannion had his first year. Get in the weight room, learn the playbook, know it forward and backwards. Then, next season we will have 2 legit QB's in Mannion and Goff. I would love to have that problem, 2 good QB's.......Heck, we have had noby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Watched Prescotts film vs Dolphins. I think 2 of his completions were from under center, for about 8 yds. ALL the rest were from shotgun, and my mom could have completed 1/2 of those throws to wide oped WR's that were only about 10 yarders. Goff my friends is going to be a very good QB......The kid can throw the rock.by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Just sayin'.........Board was getting boring with all this camp talk....Realistically there are only about 6 roster spots open, the rest are taken. Now, hopefully a WR will "flash" like Spruce did last week. We need a player to step up at that WR position, we'll see after the KC game who it is.....Nice to see the QB's in camp working in shotgun formation. Maybe Groh got in Fisher's earby oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Totally agree.......Leadership and being smart at the QB position is much more a priority than being athletic. Which the two most important traits, RG III lacks.by oldschoolramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
