Definitely a team loss! Need to get over it quickly and play much better in Seattle.by DallasRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I heard some discussion on local Dallas radio a few weeks ago...nothing since. Also part of the discussion was the possibility of adding another "wild card" team to each conference. The focus of both ideas was extending the season and more tv revenue without going to 18 games.by DallasRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I believe the new CBA could play a role here. Quite a bit of talk and optimism about getting it done this year. Discussion of extending the season in a number of ways...two additional games...one additional game...additional play-off team in each conference. I would bet a new CBA would create an overall bigger pie and a higher salary cap. Pure guessing on my part but I would not be surprisedby DallasRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I am torn on this whole subject but limiting it to last two minutes seems unfair...points scored in first quarter count just as much.by DallasRam - RamsFootballFans.com
This is incredible. When I first saw the play in live action I didnt think anything of it. Then Payton went nuts and all we saw was the play from the other angle that showed the infraction...very annoying. This obviously shows that reviewing the play would not give the Saints the first down as Payton claims...best case off-setting penalties and replay the down. It also shows the refs were notby DallasRam - RamsFootballFans.com
The low percentage of loaded box explains the emphasis on the run. The Rams are taking what the defense gives them. Teams definitely need to pick their poison!by DallasRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks...I thought the analysis Steve posted was very interesting as well. Best to have these things thrown at us prior to the playoffs. Looking forward to see how the Rams respond in the future to similar challenges.by DallasRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I found this article on a Philly site. It outlines the Rams motion concepts and how teams beginning with Seattle have been countering it. The bad news is that defenses can neutralize (or a least slow down) the Rams offense and our early season success. The good news is that McVay has the time and intellect to coach against it. Let the chess game begin!by DallasRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Related to this subject. I heard Rick Gosselin on local radio here in Dallas earlier this year. He pointed out that the salary cap has risen 44 percent since 2013. He stated fans will need to get used to the best players testing the market and in many cases changing teams. I think this has been demonstrated each year with a new normal being set for salaries (e.g. Watkins). If the cap continueby DallasRam - RamsFootballFans.com
