The safety market was struggling and paid him prime. We could have let Watkins walk, as we did, and still negotiated a better deal with Joyner. Funny how some things work out...it looks like he will be gone next year anyway...and based on his disappearing act this year, that's a good thing.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
1. Contain Seattle running game 2. Give Peters help over the top and on third down 3. Sack Wilson 3 times or more 4. Make Seattle play on a long field 5. Todd Gurley runs for 100+ As you can see...I'm focused on the defense.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
But Norv Turner has him playing at a high level. Pittsburgh pressured and contained him. Honestly, I think the Steelers would have beaten anyone Thursday night. We don't match up well against them. In a game like that, Donald would be invaluable since he gets push in the middle and Roethlisberger, while moving well inside the pocket, doesn't move well to get out of the pocket.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
a moral victory. I view it as a team that doesn't quit and has the talent to comeback. Actually, while we lost, we did find out something about this team. Now...as to the defense...Philips needs to get his "adjustment act" together sooner than halftime.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
and games against New Orleans are division games...very different.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
in fact, right after the game when people were apoplectic, I said I saw two positives...1) the comeback and 2) we held them to 10 points in the second half. That said, the guy who killed us all night sealed the deal at the end. And, in the final accounting, it was those three and only those three who really did us in. I think that is in part why the Saints went and got Bryant. I think theby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Philips saw what was happening to Peters the whole game and did nothing about it. Love me some Wade but that was a horrible coaching mistake. People can say it's "his system" but not giving Peters any help over the top was just plain stupid. There should have been double coverage on the guy who was absolutely killing us on third down all night...well...on any down!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
An uninformed statement. And that's being nice.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
and couldn't get off the field due to Michael Thomas. Wade did nothing to disrupt that situation and I was disappointed. I felt we were playing better because we weren't getting in third down situations early on. While both teams scored, I thought our scoring was "easier". But...once the game got going, Michael Thomas lit Peters up. Sprinkle in Kamara and Watson and we couby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com

They really don't have a deep WR corps. Michael Thomas single-handedly beat us last week...Kamara got the TDs but it was Thomas. After Thomas...not much. I give them lots of credit to come back like they did. I've made this point but it's worth repeating... Philips seems to make solid half time adjustments but he needs to figure something out a lot sooner. We only gave up 10 points to the Saints after halftime. Now, the Saints could have taken their foot off the pedal, but I don't think so. If Wade can get this defense to step it up eaby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com

Everett is a big WR who will never amount to any type of go to player at TE. He's too soft and has difficulty getting open, especially in the middle of the field where you expect a TE to help you out. Everett does squat in the red zone, an area where we struggle...he is not help there. As for PFF ranking him #4 anything, well, that is an embarrassing statement. occurs when we have a first down in the opponents 20-30 yard line. That's when Gurley tends to go to the bench or he calls some odd plays. I don't have stats but I've been watching this for games now. Maybe Gurley needs to be spelled but it happens a lot. I think that's why we have a mid level at best red zone percentage. there are positives to take away... The comeback and only giving up 10 points in the second half. What has to happen on defense is Philips has to figure out how to fix things on defense on the fly before halftime.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
in fact, I told my son, after we tied, even if we lose, you've got to give the Rams credit for the comeback. And...if you think about it...we only gave up 10 points in the second half.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
are the Panthers. New Orleans plays them twice in three weeks at season's end. We need to stay focused on our schedule and work on fixing some things on defense...if possible.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
not happy with the outcome. But...good teams put this behind them. We have a division game at home and if we are thinking about home field, we need to win this game. I actually think this loss isn't all bad. If we continued to go undefeated, we may have done things differently down the stretch like play guys who could use a rest. Now, that's gone and we can focus on the real prize.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com

Thought it would be great to have Suh back. Nope. Joyner...I hated the pick. Last year I thought ok...maybe Im wrong. But no...I was right. He stinks at $11 million. He will be lucky to get half of that next year. Snead blew this...he completely misjudged the safety market.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
