I think you should get one annually in the draft.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
he gets to work under McVay for a year... I think that alone will increase his value. I think this is a patient move and wise one for Bortles...thinking long term.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Unfortunately it wasn't two years. We could have possibly dealt him next year for a pick and a year of McVay tutoring.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
so much for the debate! One year deal. Good move.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I would say if he was a free agent, he could land on a team as a three...just not here.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
during the season. Just my recollection. I also don't recall him getting blown up a lot at the LOS.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay basically is calling the play as the defense lines up. Maybe this allows Bortles to make fewer decisions.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I expected big things from this guy...I hope he is able to play in the league...if he drops the Rams...RUN to the podium!!! I agree with some of this but here is some added commentary... Quotegeorge_allen i have my fair share of uncertainty, discomfort with the apparent roster holes at this point in the off season. however, on the flip side, i'm looking forward to seeing growth from last year to this year in a number of our returning personnel which for me is cause for optimism: 1. cory littleton - 2018 wasby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Being undersized was the problem because Littleton is not a physical LB who can step up in the hole fight off a block and stop the run. You cannot have to guys who are better going side to side than north and south. Actually, I thought Barron was more physical than Littleton but I like Littleton's game better at this time. He finds ways to make impactful plays.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
limited in ability...but never bad. Even when he first got into the league. I always wondered why this guy wasn't liked...all he did was win. All he did was not turn the ball over. I get what you're saying, in way but he was never Bortles to me. That said, I think signing Bortles makes a heck of a lot of sense. If he is bad, Mannion is pathetic. Bad is better than pathetic in my diby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
that isn't there. People get so defensive...it's silly. That roster as stated, may not get past round 1.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I just moved the Browns into the #2 position in the AFC.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
for his episode with the woman at the hotel. Nick Chubb will be fine plus they still have Duke Johnson as a solid 3rd down option.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I think this is a play to.... 1) push Mariota 2) insurance for Mariota who tends to get hurt Tennessee is a run first team...and my guess is they think Tannehill will be better in that environment.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Free agency comes into play to help fill holes. Drafting all defense or all defensive backs has it's issues down the road. All of these guys basically come up on their contract at the same time. Plus, you cannot play all those rookies...and most likely, not all of them make the team. Drafting them to sit behind Weddle, Talib and Peters for a year does little to improve your team this year.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
HOME Seattle - Seattle looks to be better this year vs. last and they were 10-6! Arizona - Floundering...still looking for pieces San Francisco - A huge question mark New Orleans - Will be good once again Tampa Bay - I just don't think a team with Jameis Winston goes anywhere Baltimore - With the addition of Ingram and Thomas, with another year with Jackson at QB, they are team to watch Ciby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
the defense is unfairly singled out with fines because of the nature of the position. The defense is susceptible to penalties that the offense isn't. I'm surprised nothing really is said about that...but if I were a defender, I would try to do something within the rules to protect me.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
and does the complete opposite!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I dont' know the players but the positions selected make a lot of sense...even a guard in round 1 with the lack of players we have on the OL. I do expect some journeymen pick ups by the Rams post draft.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
with players having just signed contracts... to me...it means they just get a little extra money now to delay the cap effect this year...moving it to out years. But...in the end...the money doesn't get smaller.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
a guard isn't worth a 1st round pick IMO... I wonder how different a guard in round 3 would be from a guard in the late round 1. Or a DT in round 3 vs. late round 1. I think I read here that the DL in this draft is deep. I know what I want.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it's a great situation for filling that need on a short term basis. We just don't need a team of them. Guys who near the end, do want to win. However, I betcha if they could get more elsewhere, they would jump on it.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
We have just started free agency. Contracts can still be reworked. My guess is when you hear a contract has been worked, a move will follow immediately thereafter. Brockers is going no where. He would have been cut already. The Rams, IMO, wouldn't screw him by releasing him after the front tier of guys are already signed. Brockers will be on this team next year.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
been around...smart guy... And Brent Mussberger liked his girlfriend!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Is it ideal? No. But...we have other issues.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I guess something can be done. Trading Peters and cutting Brockers is IMO, dumb. We are going to create more holes and use more late round picks to fill those holes? We are one of the favorites to get to the Super Bowl...creating more holes is not the answer.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Agent's Take: Five suggested changes to the next NFL collective bargaining agreement Here are five things I believe should be changed in the next CBA by Joel Corry @corryjoel Mar 6, 2019 at 4:06 pm ET • 10 min read PREVIOUSLY ON CBS SPORTS HQ... https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/agents-take-five-suggested-changes-to-the-next-nfl-collective-bargaining-agreement/ Surprisingly, reportsby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
We now have 31 players under contract totaling approximately $112 million in committed salaries. I think it's say to say that the cap will likely hit $200 million next year. Goff is not in those numbers...but the option can be picked up on a fifth year which would cost...according to reports around $22 million. That's 32 players and salaries at $134 million. That would leave approximaby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
