it may have been the last game I would have guessed.... Rams @ Panthers Well...I wonder if Cam Newton will be ready. McCaffery and Olsen will be challenges.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
1. 9/22 @ Cleveland - Sunday night 2. 12/15 @ Dallas - Sunday early start (kind of surprised at this...flex potential if both teams are playoff bound...currently Vikings/Chargers) LA visit will have to wait. But when I do, I'll be with my two sons...and I hope we are playing the Cowboys!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
2 years in a row? I wonder what the AFC teams think? I guess they are happy eating Turkey!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
maybe the Rams play Thanksgiving Day... But...6 NFC teams and no AFC teams...I don't think so. Let's say I would be shocked.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I think finding a franchise guy is recently, easier, than it's ever been. I'm not saying it's easy. I'm saying it's easier. Look what is happening... Kids are playing year round in high school. They go from the season, to after season conditioning, to 7 on 7 leagues (where all they do is throw) in the late spring-early summer. They then start "training camp". Kids are throwiby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
ok...maybe it's a math thing. You guys don't get it. So you're saying that if necessary, pay the QB 20%+ of the cap? Good luck.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
The only uni I like more, let's say as much as, are the Chargers. The Steelers are all about history...they're boring...as are the Saints.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Bortles is here for insurance. And that's not my point anyway. You cannot continue to give QB's more of a percentage of the salary cap and not in turn, start to severely impact your overall team. That's the point. No one is here to diss Goff which is probably part of your reaction. But, if Goff were to get hurt and Bortles played well...I guess we will see if McVay is the QB whisperer.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't have all the math so there is a bit of "feel" to my comment. The top QBs are taking up 16% plus of the total cap space for a team. I'm using $30 million / $190 million. It seems the rate of growth in QB salaries is outpacing the rate of growth of the salary cap. IMO, this cannot continue without serious ramifications to maintaining talent on a team and of course, saby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I think they are just a few players away...a good draft and a little more free agency... I could see them competing in 2020. They trade Wilson and move it back 3+ years...minimum.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Bust-proof: Here are 8 of the safest prospects in the 2019 NFL draft Yahoo Sports Terez Paylor,Yahoo Sports 20 hours ago The great Louis Riddick once said that when you hear a draft guru state that a player is “the safest” pick, it actually means “everyone else likes him, so if he stinks, it wasn’t my evaluation — it was the player.” Ever since Riddick, an NFL analyst for ESPN, said thby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Just hurry up and get your defensive rankings completed! lol Just an opinion...I think you are "short changing" Kyler Murray...pun intended! No...but really..I think he is another Russell Wilson. Thanks!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
good post...very inside "baseball" stat.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
is the OL part of the issue? Sure. But Goff had a good line in front of him. The eyes don't lie. He missed open receivers, threw to the wrong guys, threw crappy passes. As with most situations, there is some culpability on both sides. Goff, at times, stunk it up.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
and if a team sees Russell Wilson (I don't have proof they do), how do you not run up to the podium and yell Kyler Murray from the top of your lungs?by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
and if he plays like a lock down corner...you have to find a way to sign him. That said...I still see a CB drafted by day 2. But...I'm of the opinion you draft CBs every year.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
In that decision. But, let's say they do...if a solid CB is on the board at #31, I feel it is hard to pass up. We can use 5 good CBs in today's game. Just thinking out of the box, while I don't think he is ready yet...I wonder if Talib has a future at a safety position?by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I watched Murray take Allen High in Texas to it's 3rd consecutive high school championship. I never ever saw a high school player more composed in the pocket than Murray. It was amazing to watch...it was like he was a Pro. When you place on top of that, a kid who runs like a deer, yet still has superior pocket presence, well...the Heisman speaks for itself. And by the way...he knows wheby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
but...I think one of those positions, without a doubt, ends up being a free agent signing.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
sure he could have held out. And he would have never made up that money. Now...do the Rams make the Super Bowl without Donald? No way. But...the Rams make their money...Donald or no Donald. So, while the Rams may not have had all the cards...they had a better hand. Fortunately, they decided to kind of "split the pot."by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Here are mine position selections in no particular order. First, I think we will trade up or down. CB Edge OL TEby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
However, I'm not knocked over either. I still like the old Jet uni's.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I dont' recall all but I do recall those interviews having an impact on the draft.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
on the others...my jury is decided. Bit players at most. If they were anything, we would be focusing on these positions in the draft and free agency. They are not solutions. And, that's not terrible. They were late picks and late picks always have deficiencies. So, I'm not knocking management. But these guys are not answers.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I think you can fill a safety from a lot of places...but another CB is always welcome and will be even more important in 2020.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
That's ugly...thank goodness this is a bunch of late round picks...which can be, to some degree, a crap shoot.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
it's not possible to assume too much for 2019. Actually, the Rams are in the drivers seat on Goff much like they were for Donald. This will all come down to how they can manage the cap over the next two seasons. If extending Goff in 2019 jeopardizes the "run" we anticipate for the next few years, I can see them picking up Goff's fifth year option...IF...it keeps cap room open.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
and any argument that a good TE wouldn't benefit a red zone just typical of a contrarian. Of course there are a number of factors that go into Red Zone success. But having a good TE is not a negative...and based on this offenses inability to attack the middle of the field, whether it be coaching, personnel, whatever, a big solid TE would do wonders for Goff and our RZ percentage which isby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay was OC starting in 2014...
