This offseason..."The Fast and Furious!"by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
we butted heads over Bradford and Suh in the great Bradford/Suh debates. Who would have thought that along the way, we would have had both. One thing I like about Suh...he stays healthy. I hope I just didn't jinx him.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm certain Phillips will be moving these guys.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
no. We have to see if Goff is ready to take the next step. I need to see some "clutch" in crunch time.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
one year... Hmmm... That says...ok Suh...we will pay you...but you have to show me! That's odd...why one year? A prove it deal? Did Suh only want one year? It just seems odd. I would have expected two years.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Phil Collins...singing a Rams tune!!!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I wouldn't. I don't work that way. I would say we had to wait until Joyer ended his contract to get any worth. I don't like this it takes 3 years to develop contribute stuff. My issue with Joyner was always his size. I just don't see a body that is going to hold up...time will tell. But right now, he's given us one quality year out of four. And, he was nearly a 1st rounder. Butby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
until year 5 IMO. I think the question becomes, what star players do we have now can we part with going forward?by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not sure. But, if I'm Donald and they didn't offer me more than Von Miller money last year, I wouldn't have signed either. The price will continue to rise. Donald will know he is being underpaid each year...so he'll want more in the future to compensate... Personally, I think the deal gets done...and I'm sticking with $23.5 million. In two years, it will seem reasonable...if we winby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
the Donald, Peters and Gurley scenario. And honestly, I would rather use the franchise tag on my QB anyway.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I know one thing...Mack and Donald will be comfortably over $20 miilion. Well...I'm willing to lay large money on it anyway.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Don't we want HOFers on our team? I guess we want to draft average guys to pay average salaries and get average results. I don't even know how to process this! :confused I'm not trying to be an arse...I'm just blown away at the thinking.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
The CBA ends in 2020. The era of keeping a first rounder with a 5th year option and 2 franchise tags will be over. So, what happens thereafter? While it may not effect the next few years...the strategy of just taking options and tagging are going to be dead. NFLPA sees no circumstance where current CBA would be extended Posted by Josh Alper on February 1, 2018, 6:34 PM EDT The Collectiby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Basically, the strategy you espouse is draft a guy, don't pay him and just use 5th year options and franchise tags. Well, there are ramifications to that strategy. If you build a championship team, somebody is going to get paid. Who are you willing to lose in the next two years? Gurley? Peters? Joyner? Somebody gets paid at the top of the market or you lose them. Kupp will be therby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
We know the rule...you fumble, it's goes out of the endzone so it's a touchback and the ball goes to the other team. It's been that way forever. It's called a dumb rule but I can think of others I absolutely hate but it is what it is. It's 3rd and 25...the defense gets called for holding...a 5 yard penalty and an automatic first down. That to me is more stupid than this other rule. But..by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
look at the market...think about how much you are overpaying for their worth. It's a push. A WR is significantly more important than a safety...of course in terms of dollars Watkins would be more than Joyner. An average receiver will make more than a good safety. Joyner is happy because he sees the market and knows he just got paid for a 1.3 years in 1 year. Of course, I'm not ready toby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
$23.5 million...at Alex Smith level. Now...I know that isn't the whole story. I still think it's all about the guaranteed money...but the average is the average. I just hope an "opt out" is not part of the hold up. Actually, I think the Rams are waiting for the market...Kahlil Mack maybe? BTW...I'm betting he eclipses the $20 million figure. Like I posted elsewhere...$20 mby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Still thinking? Wondering about drive time? Wondering about crawfish boils? Wondering about country music? Money? You would think that his best chance to increase his success would be to pair him with the best defensive player in football. Or does that hurt his ego? Oh well...it's getting closer to 2:00pm EST! :teethby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
You are they only other person who has made this point! And it's a dam# good one if I say so myself!!!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I was surprised at the Titans post but knew it couldn't be correct since within 30 seconds I just read the Jets rescinded their offer. I think you may be closer to your prediction...by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
He's going to be the place holder for the re-build. But...he should remember one Kurt Warner did the same for him.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
it changes possession... Absolutely no problem with it. Take it back to the 20 and retain possession? Uh....Why? #9 however...that has to change. What a dumb current rule.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Well then we definitely know it's not the Rams!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
You proclaim is what we would overpay Watkins... Rams seem to pick the wrong guys to sign/tag. At least they are good at it! Management should have understood all the quality safeties on the market vs. the lack of quality at WR. Maybe the Rams "took one" for the league.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Didn't say he signed with Titans.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
$11 million? Ah...we are so good at signing / tagging our players...at the wrong time!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
opt out...not so crazy. I would prefer a shorter deal. Opt outs create uncertainty...I want a deal so the Rams can plan with certainty.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com

Harrison Phillips in a trade back anyone? Rams listed as good fit for one of the NFL Draft's top DT prospects By: Cameron DaSilva | March 24, 2018 10:00 am ET Even with Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers entrenched up front as the Los Angeles Rams’ starting defensive linemen, there’s still a gaping hole at nose tackle. Neither are particularly great fits at that position, which is whby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
