Jourdan Rodrigue @JourdanRodrigue · Feb 20 Rams TEs coach Nick Caley will add pass game coordinator duties to his role this year. I was told by a couple team and league people that he was an important retention by Sean McVay. Caley drew outside interest this offseason and McVay wants to keep developing him in-house.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Caley was offered the OC job at the Pats but he turned it down to continue working with McVay. McVay then promoted him to passing game coordinator. Pretty cool.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Jourdan Rodrigue @JourdanRodrigue · 2h @peter_king’s writing was what let me into football - a sport I knew I loved and just wanted to know everything about. He pulled back the curtain. When I finally got to meet him several years ago I was blown away by his enthusiasm, support and willingness to mentor and kindness.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sad to see him go. I have had my differences with Peter King over the years but grew to love his Monday Morning column. He will be missed, but I totally get how he needs to retire (and especially with his 2 brothers and Dad all died by 64). Time to enjoy retirement (sounds good to me too - looking at the Philippines for me.)by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
What does NFL salary cap increase really mean? Three league executives weigh in Jori Epstein Just before the NFL scouting combine kicks off, the league released key information to its clubs Friday. The 2024 salary cap, the NFL announced in a release, will be $255.4 million per club. Each club will also receive an additional $74 million for performance-based pay and benefits for retired pby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
8 takeaways from Sean McVay's pre-combine press conference Sean McVay met with reporters on Thursday to discuss a variety of topics, from his coaching hires to the upcoming NFL combine. He also mentioned the uncertain futures of Stetson Bennett and Joe Noteboom, while also making it clear that the Rams want to bring back Coleman Shelton. It was an informative press conference, shedding someby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com

I believe Shelton has the option of declaring he's a FA by the end of Feb, so that gives them time to negotiate before 2024 officially starts. Still, it's clear that Allen has no future here with the Rams.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Jourdan Rodrigue @JourdanRodrigue · 28m As a reminder, post June 1 cuts can’t be designated until the new league year. An early cut gives a player a little bit of a head start to land elsewhere. The Rams incur $3.15M in dead money by doing so, but do save $4.9M against the 2024 cap. Thanks for noting the March 5th date - all the pubs I read always fail to mention that. Still, I bet that the Rams are trying to re-sign Noteboom to a lower contract before March 5th. Or, they re-sign him but keep the 5M for March 5th as part of the contract. Also seems like they will resign Shelton with the early release of Allen. I just want to see Dotson remain a Ram for at least next yearby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it's 19.885M for all OL, but with the raising of the salary cap from an estimated 242M to a projected 250M, that's additional 8M to use. So why not franchise Dotson for one year and ask him to "do it again"? I think this makes a lot of football business sense in making him prove his one year wasn't a fluke, that he can stay healthy and available, and then address his long termby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com

that he covers the blind spots that McVay is acknowledging he is missing. Similar to the guy that Andy Reid uses to prep the team on OT playoff rules. So a "here's what rules changed and what we need to be aware of" in 2024. If he can also help McVay in game (time?) management during games that would just be gravy on top of everything else. Connect your TV by Ethernet cable (Cat-6 or better) directly from your internet router. I don't need 1ghz speed as 400 MHz is plenty, and being directly connected takes all the connection issues out of scope. When my son and I first moved in, I had them check the existing cables as I was having connection issues (intermittent connectivity) and it turned out there were old splitters in the wallby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com

Because it puts a chip on Kobie's shoulder that he needs to show that he was more deserving in future years. Perfect was KT's tweet in response of "Back to work". If he gains AD's work habits, the sky is the limit for this impressive rookie Rams DT.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sure is news to me. Last I heard that Snead was waiting until free agency to see if they could work out a deal then. Where did these "experts" get their numbers from?by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
I like the experience that Giff brings. Came from the Chargers, ironically which is where Coach Henny came from, albeit a different org.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm interested in what Shula can do with his network of coaches. I could see Sean interviewing him for DC and asking who he'd pick for DL/Run game coach to replace Coach Henny, as well as to replace himself as LB/Pass rush coordinator. I vaguely recall Shula having input for coaches in the past. The Rams have got a lot of holes to fill and I imagine Shula has a great Rolodex of coaches he canby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Small typo there in the title of HC (should be OC) had me confused for a minute. Interesting to see if Coen has learned from his mistakes but I think he has more to offer a non-McVay offense. Plus he worked with Baker in 2022, so that's another plus. Maybe it works for them, but he definitely wasn't coming back to the Rams.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
7. As far as having a tough decision in round 1, I still think they trade back and add picks. The Rams seem to have moved from strictly analytics to analytics with a focus on actual football players. Nacua wasn't a tester, but he competed in college (when healthy) as did Young, as did Avila as did Turner. I have to assume with the success of last years draft, they will continue this trend, so I aby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com

Plus McVay even alluded himself that last year he was more patient in hiring the guys he really wanted. Which is what I hope he is doing now. Personally, I'm glad he isn't making snap decisions like hiring Staley immediately back, even tho I share 43's impatience in not seeing guys hired. The good news is that guys like Munchak signed on for two years (something I'd like to see confirmed).by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Carson spoke glowingly of how Zac Robinson brought him up to speed when Wentz first arrived. So Zac will be able to assess if Carson can still play or not. Sign Wentz and draft a rookie QB? I wouldn't bet against it.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com

Steve Spagnuolo says he benefited by taking a year off from coaching It wasn’t his original plan to step away for a year, but he finally decided it was the right thing to do When it was first announced that Steve Spagnuolo had been hired as the new defensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs, much was made of the fact thby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com

I remember him saying something to the fact that he wanted to stay coaching Goff in particular, but couldn't find the article. Pretty cool to turn down some excellent HC opportunities this year, but I guess he waited until the Lions were out of the playoffs. Will teams wait for him next year? Here's his reasons for turning it down last year:by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com

I believe that NB's $5M roster bonus is due Mar 18th (or the 21st - can't remember)), so a decision on him needs to be made quickly. Really wish that these fan sites like Ramswire had this level of detail (but then they wouldn't be just fan sites). Lolby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
