Quote21Dog nm This patch work offensive line isn't going to keep Stafford healthy. He will basically be a sitting duck back there....the defenses know it and will be pinning their ears back. Especially since Cam Aker is a shell of his former self after the Achilles tendon surgery and we only have Henderson as the main running back. We all know how fragile Henderson is.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Looking at the offensive line and knowing Stafford limited mobility and elbow problems....he will probably need to be put on IR at some point in the year and get arm surgery. Will McVay find a diamond in the rough in Bryce Perkins if he has the guts to put him in a game?by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
How many seconds did Stafford have time to throw in the Buffalo game? It look like he had plenty of time on most plays. I believe something is wrong with his arm.... The way he hesitated on unleashing his usual tight spirals. Seeing his overthrow to Kupp that got intercepted over the middle. He had happy feet too...he had no confidence throwing deep.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotesstrams Noteboom has played fairly well in the past.. Seems to me he does better as guard than tackle? Tutu gets one more shot.. play him against the Falcons and target him frequently.. if he doesn't produce against that horrific team, then you gotta cut bait.. In my opinion, he appears to be what I've always labeled a "practice superstar".. lights it up in practice, completelyby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsdude But Tutu has been a disappointment. :rolleyes All those "fluff articles" about Tutu in camp and practice and he gets only ONE pass his first game?!?!?! No jet sweeps. No Deep shots. No plays were designed to even TRY to get him involved. It sure looked to me like Tutu wasn't even in McVay's game plan at all. Why? Don't you want to get your "weapons" the baby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamstien I say give McCutcheon a chance in Tutu spot. Tutu is a skinny midget....the NFL has no place for 155 pound players. We need a 6'2'' big body and fast wide receiver who can fight for the ball and win... Lance McCutcheon. What is McVay thinking. One big hit on Tutu by a big safety....it's over.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Is it worth getting Stafford killed behind this offensive line? Stafford's elbow isn't going to get better. His passes were inaccurate and wobbly last night..... He was also holding the ball too long like he wasn't sure his passes would reach the intended target. It's almost like he lost that gunslinger mentality and was afraid his passes wasn't going to get through the tight windows.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit Yeah; forget it now with all these guys getting beat up. This season could get ugly fast with anymore bad luck. Time to start Bryce Perkins at this rate....Stafford is a statue and will get killed behind this offensive line. Not to mention Stafford's elbow is not right....you can see how poorly he threw the ball last night....those passes were wobbly and inaccurate. Staffordby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteferragamo79 nm Fuller, Rapp and Burgess are playing scared.... Ever since these guys got injured they have been afraid or unwilling to make a big hit. Rapp with his concussions..... Fuller with his ankle and Burgess breaking his leg a few years ago.... I wonder if they are just trying to collect a pay check.... The only guy willing to make a hit is Nick Scott.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Noteboom was getting pushed back like he was on skates. He needs to do more squats are something. He is going to get himself and Stafford hurt if he keep getting thrown back like that.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotegeorge_allen Quotealyoshamucci Play them both. Show them off. Get a 4th or 5th to backup cousins rather than losing the value. Vikings might have the worst backups in the league. interesting take. i'd take a 5th for perkins in a heartbeat based on what i've seen so far. Why the hate for Perkins....seems like McVay sees something special in him that you guys don't.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSoCalRAMatic I really like Jourdan's journalism and enjoy her takes, but I couldn't disagree more. If the Rams kept a Perkins and designated Wolfie to the PS he would get snapped up in a heartbeat. He has experience and really knows this system which is being emulated by many other teams. The Rams former assistant coaches are everywhere as head coaches and would love to have someone so knowlby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSoCalRAMatic I keep reading that there is this close battle between Wolfie and Perkins for the #2 QB position. There isn't. Wolfie has the job. It's why he didn't play last week. Perkins is trying to maintain the #3 position which we may not even need. He played well enough last PS so the Rams kept 3, but most teams only activate 2. So, for those of you who like Perkins you need to start argby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSoCalRAMatic He actually made some plays. Happy with his effort. Texas has a strong D and this was their starters. Cut Wolford....Perkins should be 2nd string. 5 sacks...by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBC Ramsfan Most of his throws were pretty off and McCutcheon and the Bolt DBs bailed him out. Nice runner but barely escaped from 2nd/3rd stringers. Maybe not starters. BC I'm not sure what game you were watching but Perkins made some nice throws....especially playing with a offensive line that couldn't protect him or give him much time and only one legitimate wide receiver in Lance.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Maybe Perkins has trade value? To a QB desperate team? What is with you and getting rid of Perkins? Perkins should be the 2nd string QB. Not the midget.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteCoy Bacon Perkins wasn't very good in my opinion, so I'd like to see Perez play. He did real well in the other football league. Perez is a camp arm only.....Maybe Perkins would excel if he had a real offensive line in front of him. He might even be a good starting QB when Stafford retires..... Perkins was basically running for his life on half of those snaps last night due to the 3rdby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteDomerRam How was that underthrown? Are you blind? I wonder why these Rams fans are anti Bryce Perkins....yet they were ok with Jared Goff and Sean Mannion....lmao.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotegeorge_allen QuoteDomerRam Lol. Wow, we are spoiled.[/quote it was yet another under thrown ball bailed out by our wr, in this case mccutcheon yet again. i would love to see mccutcheon with stafford. perkins is not the 3rd guy. but whatever. How many bad passes did Sean Mannion throw as a Ram? So it's ok for Sean Mannion to be a career backup and show nothing....while Bryceby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteDomerRam The comments in this thread are wild. Guarantee you he makes the roster. Funny how Jared Goff looked worse in the preseason as a rookie than Bryce Perkins....by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote3030 He's had three trading camps. I thought we'd see more from him than "one read & then run" You do realize his offensive line sucked.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBarf33 QuoteRFL Take away flags and McC spinning straw into gold and he'd have had a disastrous night. Reliance on him would be frightening. And I don't think he's very young. 100% agree. There is reason why Wolford didn’t play last night and probably won’t the entire preseason. McVay knows he can afford to get him injured also. Wolford is awful and is small and will get destroby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 QuoteRampage2K- QuoteRams43 Which promising young player do you want Rams to cut in order to save a roster spot for a 3rd QB that is a mediocre passer and will never see the field in a regular season or playoff game? I’ll wait… How dumb was McVay to keep him around last year on the roster??? I'll wait.... I can see both sides of the issue here, R2K. Last year keeping Perkiby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteMamaRAMa Agreed! Did you also notice that even though it's typically done on SB rings, on this one there was no nod to the franchise's previous Super Bowl win? Most teams have some kind of tally on the ring showing how many Championships they've won, usually in the number of Lombardi trophies on the ring.. Not the LA Rams. Why not? What's sad to me is that the St Louis Rams are acknowby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamgator UUUUGH!!! What a collapse after Smith botched the snap!! I cannot watch beyond that! Jerry Stickum Rice cheated....The would have been mediocre if he didn't use stickum....John Taylor probably also used stickum. Remember that one handed catch by Rice in one game?by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamgator This Roided up MORON cost us a HUUUUGE game against Seattle and I believe the Division. He was nothing but an out of control child that the NFL kept giving chance after chance. Did he single handed lose the game to Seattle in 2006? Didn't he help open up big holes for Steven Jackson from 2005 to 2009? He might have been a moron but he was a nasty blocking moron. Plus the greatby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteferragamo79 he was mildly retarded He probably has CTE but the guy did play in 4 pro bowls and played for 14-16 years.....So he wasn't as bad of a player that you guys made him out to be....in fact he was a really nasty blocker and made sure his opponents knew it.....Weird how his teammates on the Raiders liked him so much they showed up at his press conference....I doubt Lawrence Phillipsby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
I was surprised the guy is so well spoken at his retirement speech..... Anyone else watch his speech? After those troubled early years with the Rams and Miami.... He even gave credit to all his old Rams teammates for his growth...by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sony Michel made a great block on a blitzing 49er linebacker when Stafford made that great pass to Kupp on the game winning drive on 3rd and 3 with 3:23 to go in the 4th quarter. That play doesn't happen without Sony Michel. Not sure if Cam would have been able to hold off that charging 49ers linebacker like Sony did.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Matt Stafford wanted a guy like Calvin Johnson that will fight for the jump ball and win. Allen Robinson is the Rams version of megatron.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
