National Weather Service shows sunny with a high of 34 for next Sunday. I think that's about as good as we can expect, which is similar (or a little better) than the Denver game.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I can't compete with this. I'll just sit back and wait until we get another one of these well written, emotionally relevant masterpieces. Well done sir, well done.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
No doubt getting away from LA, considering everything that was happening was beneficial...at least mentally. I'm wondering if the work outs at elevation made a difference in the game. My son who runs track in college tells me you have to train at elevation for many weeks for it to make a performance difference. Either way, the outcome is what counts! Go Rams!by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Malcolm Brown wasn't hurt and he can POUND a tired defense in a situation like that...by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotesstrams Had we lost, I know there'd be lots of "so and so's an idiot" and "even Cleveland has a better team" talk etc.. but at least we don't start going after each other's mothers... wow.. Right? Talk about displaced anger :)by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree with everything you are saying - excellent breakdown, btw. I guess the part I can't swallow is that in the passing approach, ANY incomplete pass is like a free timeout for KC which is huge in that situation.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBumRap is that technical enough for you? I think he gets caught up in an analytical battle. He is so smart he outsmarts himself. He has done this weekly but he has been blessed with the ability to make players believe. They love him and they battle for him and they survive or die by his decisions. The good think is Goff is opening his eyes. The WHOLE DRIVE was a brain fart??by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
My football brain is infantile next to OGC's (Our Great Coach), but I'm just not seeing the logic behind not handing the ball to either Gurley or Brown in the final two minutes to eat away clock and KC timeouts. Anyone smarter me have any theories?by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotenapoli Ugh Yeah, but maybe like Fowler last night, you aren't seeing the stats but you are seeing his effects on the play of others (Donald).by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not especially good at reading lips, but I'm about 99% sure that as we were lining up for that amazing sideline pass play to Everett he said: :What the f__k are we doing?" Interesting. I guess he got his answer though!by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Sure, that could happen. The point though, is if we could play even moderately improved defense, even the 9-1 Chiefs (or anyone else) wouldn't be as much of a threat. I'd really like to beat a good team without pulling out my hair in the 4th qtr...by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 If not at least a decent D, then we die on this hill. Well put sir!by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotebigjimram21 Rams should be able to get pressure up the middle with the Center out and the Chiefs guard play being average. The outside guys have to make sure they don't let PM escape past them. Didn't the Cards have like 5/6 sacks? If ever there was a game for Wade to bring the pain, this is the one. Right. If we can stop a few drives in the first half, it could make all the difby RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Please, please, please. Please show us something on defense tonight. Don't have to have all 3-and-outs, don't have to have 10 sacks (wouldn't that be sweet though??).... but a few open field tackles on the outside, hands up to block a couple of passes, linebackers filling gaps on runs. Probably won't be able to completely stop their offensive machine, but CONTAINMENT is key... And, dare I sayby RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I work in a company of 270 people or so, and I am the ONLY Rams fan. The other folks who follow the more popular teams have seen me mope around through the Fisher years, so they know now that when I wear any Rams gear to work, that I'm the real deal. The funny part is that they have been congratulating me a lot this season (as if I had anything to do with the team's success!)by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Classy move would be to donate any profit from this game to the families affected by the wildfires. Great way to strengthen the bond between the team and the community even more. Quotejoram unexpectedly Monday?by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
How many times have we actually double dipped this season? QuoteNJRam715 Deferring is the way to go! The biggest benefit is the possibility to "double dip" - score a TD right before half and then scoring again on first possession of second half. Conceivably, a team can score 14 pts before the opposition ever gets the ball back. To me, that is way more beneficial than scoring on anby RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
A slow start on D against KC and we might be toast before the offense even gets rolling. Gotta have the ball first this game I think.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Assuming we win the flip, I'm starting to feel like the best play for us is to go ahead and start the game on offense. Seems like our D is consistently slow out of the gate, giving up long scoring drives and putting the O in a hole early. The state of our defense and our aggressive offensive approach seem to fit getting the ball first and potentially quieting opposing fans (and taking a litby RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Tough loss, but champions adopt a next man up mentality and move forward. At least Josh has some game experience to draw on going into next week. Speedy recovery Cooper - you've been amazing since day one and your future is very bright!by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not the best lip reader, but it looked like McVay told him just to forget about it as he walked back to the bench. I'm sure that played a role in him looking past it and concentrating on the next series...by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
It's pretty rare to have an opportunity to redeem yourself like that in the very same game. That strip sack and recovery was fantastic - right when we needed it after a silly unsportsmanlike call that was essentially a turn over earlier in the game. Overall I'm pretty happy with the pickup of Fowler - he's showing some real disruption from the outside that we didn't have before. Just needsby RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Brees was a machine - no mistakes that I saw at all. Sure Peters got burned, but to your point, some of those passes were perfectly thrown and no one could have stopped them. I think less discredit goes to our D and more credit goes to him. QuoteRampage2K- QuoteCeeZar Who was covering the #1 WR? Talib on Thomas vs. NO and the Rams win, IMHO. You know, I think we'd have a much betterby RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
DL approach also has the additional factor of Fowler for Wilson to worry about - he might have a big game working against Wilson scrambling to the outside. QuoteJamesJM at least on the DL... seemed to me they were mostly trying to keep Brees in the pocket... most of the stunting was to the outside. Didn't work with Brees... with Wilson? It might. - JamesJMby RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm curious as to what we do differently game-plan-wise from the first meeting. Containing Wilson is still priority #1, I'm sure. I really hope we find an answer to Lockett - he torched us last time...by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Wade: "Hi Marcus, welcome to LA! We are going to put you in as a press corner in my scheme.." Marcus "Uh, OK, but I've been a lot more successful playing off the receivers - I like to see the plays develop." Wade: "OK, we'll take a look at how you do in camp and evaluate the best fit for your skills." or something like that. I can't believe that Wadeby RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
So you are saying this whole defensive relapse is some sort of sandbagging ploy? QuoteSalsaRama If the Rams are gonna meet the Saints twice this season, would you rather they win the first or second meeting? I'm short on time so I'll keep this brief. The Rams defense sure looked vanilla to me... save for the experiment of having Peters covering Thomas solo. Doubt we'll see that next rby RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
His tackling has got to be better than some of the whiffs we saw yesterday....by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Quantum physics also states that there was a 1 in 10E64 (the number 1 with 64 zeros after it) chance that the molecules in the football that sailed over a flailing Peters could have passed straight through the molecules in Michael Thomas' hands, keeping us in that game late in the 4th. Why do I think that there is an equal chance that Peters does not get burnt like that again this season?by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
