Great review - the only issue I had was: "The Goff int after the JJ int deep in Rams territory was just so unnecessary and was exactly what I meant about the Rams keeping them close." That was a pretty good pass from Goff (albeit in a tight window) but the defender made a nice play deflecting it slightly so that it clanged off of a face mask and right into Stewart's hands. The reason why I can't choose is the reason why we are undefeated.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Hold: ~20% of a 10 yard penalty and you get to replay the down. Don't Hold: Risk a 7-8 yard loss on a sack + possible fumble + possible turnover + possible QB injury. AND loss of down. I know which one I'd pick.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Someone made a great point on another thread on here about how teams are dealing with Donald. Just hold him. Every play. The crime is well worth the punishment in a system where the officiating crew won't call 3 or 4 holding calls in a row - even though they should. A 10 yarder here and there won't stop an offense that can eventually beat our secondary over the top for 40 - 50 yard gains.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, he looked to be knocked out cold when the hit first happened, but he seemed to recover quickly, and when he got up he wasn't staggering or stumbling...I think he even jogged over to the bench. I think he got really lucky, all things considered.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com

My point was that our style of offense, our scheme, does not employ TEs as much - it's just the way the O is designed under McVay. Analogous to the lack of the use of fullbacks. Of course our TE usage stats will look low. So will the percentage of curve-balls thrown by a pitcher that throws mostly heat. It's just not what he does.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
In other news, our fullback doesn't have that many yards either.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Great point. Speaking of Malcolm, he ripped it on special teams last week with 2 open field tackles on kickoffs - another of our unsung heroes.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Had a crappy game - he'll bounce back.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Not to jinx anything but it seemed like even Issaic and Torry would have a drop or a fumble over a 17 game stretch proving they were human. Woods just keeps making plays, almost flawlessly.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I just realized how much I've just come to expect him to make plays, game in, game out. Doesn't drop balls, like ever. Always runs great routes and protects the football. RAC? You betcha. Speed? Faster than most folks think. Versatile? See Seattle game. Not sure I'd trade him for any other receiver in the league right now - glad he is a RAM!by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Not to occupy the polar opposite position, but I believe the things you bring up about Denver being down and in turmoil are exactly why they could be very dangerous on Sunday. No better way to turn around an organization than to refocus and play the wounded animal against a 5-0 visiting team in bad weather...by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I was thinking the same thing, but I couldn't tell if it only appeared that way because the pass was batted in the first place and the receiver bailed on his route...by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I've watched that play a few times now, and I've seen enough football to know when a runner may have stumbled and put down a knee or elbow or whatever. Gurley had a head of steam and barreled over that yellow line by at least the length of a football. Refs absolutely BLEW that one.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Lots of strange things happened yesterday, but one item that still has me scratching my head is that HORRIBLE spot on Gurley's run in that last series - he clearly had a first down and the spot was at least a yard and a half behind where he went down. We had no TOs to challenge but that could have cost us the game.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Says limited in practice - not sure if there is a chance/plan for him to be ready for Sunday.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
That was just beautiful.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I probably missed something, but if we waived Ficken and put Easley on IR, don't we have an open slot on the active roster?by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with you on principle, but it's plays like that which will pay dividends down the road when defenses will have to guess if/when shots like that will be taken. McVay is planting the seeds of doubt in the minds of our future opposing DCs. I like the move.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm just going to hope that 10 more days is enough to get that groin healed. Something tells me it'll be longer :frownby RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm really missing GZ.....by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
He shot across the line before the snap in game 2 or 3 - That's the only one I can remember. Pretty special group of guys!by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Not acceptable. Suck it up and wear it with pride!! :)by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
...then the risk makes some sense - you gamble on getting better field position to avoid being pinned. But the 25?? That's really not a bad starting point that we get for free with 0% risk. I say kneel EVERY time it's kicked into the endzone.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Right - but even if you do get it to the 25, you risk: 1. A turnover, 2. An injury, 3. A penalty.by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I love our high energy special teams and have the highest respect for Bones and the rest of the coaching staff, but how the %$%& is our THIRD STRING kickoff returner allowed to take the ball out of the endzone??? Just take a knee and give it to our high-powered offense at the 25 and take all the risk out of a crappy situation. Countess ran it out TWICE and got hit hard both times. A fumbleby RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Two silly penalties that could very well have cost them the game (one was essentially a turnover because they had stopped the Browns on 3rd and long) Shades of last year's unsportsmanlike conduct call at the absolute worst time during the Eagles game...by RinconRam - RamsFootballFans.com
