QuotePeoriaRa So starters minus GRob. Wonder why they went with this lineup. Nice to hear that Hav is playing though. My guess is he doesn't stay in long. Rhaney not a starter. Wonder why he is in?by RounderRick - Game Time Forum
I think Quick is in unless he has the dropsies again. They can carry an extra for the first week since Cooper is out. BTW, I would put Spruce right into Cooper spot.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
Quite simple really. Make the roster 75. Dress 67. 22 offense, 22 defense, and 23 special teams, extra for a kicker and punter.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
Marquez led the team in special teams tackles. There is value in that. 6th WR will not be on the field for offense much. But he knows the offense and catches the ball as well.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
Ok so pretty clear right now. Austin, Britt, Cooper, Spruce, Quick, and Marquez. But Cooper out a few weeks. They may just go with another position. I would put Thomas and Duke on practice squad.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
Might take Givens over Quick. Gives us a deep threat.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
Davis just got an interception yesterday. He gets them in practice as well. Give him an opportunity.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
One thing to improve the line. Worried it could go backwords. Maybe Wichmann is better than Saffold at LG. Maybe Saffold better than Hav. Just hope they get the best guys in the right spots.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
Great that he is back. However, I think he should go to backup. The line has been performing well. Why fix something that is not broken? Have him be the backup. He can go in if Saffold gets hurt. OR if Wichmann or Brown get hurt move Saffold at that point.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
So Saffold to backup?by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
In 2014, how many targets and drops. I do not know. But if he was dropping in his breakout year we may have a pattern.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
Looks like this will be the starting unit when the season opens. They appear to be playing well. They are running out of time to switch when Havenstein gets back. He comes back and then Saffold back to left guard. It will mess with the cohesiveness of the unit.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
I think 4 guys have made team already. Austin, Britt, Cooper, Spruce. Quick did make a couple catches after the drops. They may give him more chances. I would like to see what Duke can do in games. Give him some targets. Thomas has had problems with drops too.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
So no catches for Duke and Thomas.Did they play? I know Quick had a catch but also a drops. Who else had a drop?by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
Crraaacckkk!! Let's do this!! Set a tone for the season...want to see some passes to WR Thomas, Cooper, Duke, Quick. Let's see who will step up.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
Supposed to be on CBSby RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
No sorry. Do not buy the conspiracy theory. He gets chances in practice. Had some drops. Bounced back. Played better. He will still get more chances in games. To me, it is Duke, Quick, and Thomas fighting for two spots. If he is better than the other two he makes the team. Makes no sense to try and hide him on practice squad.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
I started thinking about the WR competition and really who is up against whom. We never really talk about the different positions. X receiver stays on the line and will get jammed, should be bigger and fast, more of a deep threat, be a good blocker. Z receiver is more of a possession type, lines up off the line, and can go in motion, generally agile and quick. For the Rams I see Britt, Quick,by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought he did well... but that was against 3rd string. The weight was listed at 250. Isn't that too light for defensive end. I say have him gain 20 and get stronger. Practice squad this year.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
Based on tonight and making decision now. WR AUSTIN BRITT SPRUCE COOPER QUICK MARQUEZ WILLIAMS THOMAS RB Gurley Cunningham Green Brown Reynoldsby RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
It may help just to get some tape on the teams we are playing. I would be ok with Keenum starting until he loses a game. No pressure. Lol.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteGreatRamNTheSky Duke Williams may be the star of the training camp at wide receiver. He's been playing with the 1st team. That ought to tell you what the coaches think of him. Nelson Spruce is having a good camp. Another guy who is standing out in camp is Paul Mc Roberts a big receiver from Southeast Missouri State. Grits I have not heard Williams was with the ones. Usually, iby RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteKillrazor No mention of North? Did he get cut already? Yeah have not been hearing much about him. He is not in top 8.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
Hey Rams 43, wanted to thank you for all the articles you post. And will make a comment. Easy to pick Higbee. Not sure how much the WR will be on the field. You gotta figure Tavon, Britt, and Cooper. But with the things I am hearing about camp, I wonder if the three most dynamic players in a 3 WR set would be Thomas, Tavon, and Cooper. And Higbee at TE. Gurley in the backfield. Yeah, I think thaby RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
Any way they keep 7? Based on camp reports top 8 are Tavon, Britt, Quick, Thomas, Cooper, B. Marquez, Spruce and Duke Williams. We only have Quick and Britt with one year left. Any way one of them get cut to keep Spruce and Williams? I guess it would come to B. Marquez and Duke for me. Put one on practice squad and the other as special teams ace and carry 7.by RounderRick - RamsFootballFans.com
