Quoteoldschoolramfan McVay loves to upgrade any position......It looks like the Rams are in very, very good shape to do just that in FA. Here's my thought process...... Dotson getting signed is a no brainer, he will be a Ram and with the extra $$$$$ the Rams should get that deal done. Instead of drafting a C, go get Cushenberry and UPGRADE the middle of your offensive line. Rams can do Oby PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotealyoshamucci No mystery here. That was a typical McVay play-call (I mean...we've all seen that before, right?) and typical McVay time-mismanagement (I mean...we've all seen that before, right?). We just dismissed them when we were winning. Yes we have. Remember the SF game back in 2020? The game is tied at 20 after SF kicks a FG with 3:15 remaining. We get the ball with 3:11 leftby PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
32 teams, 3 WRs = 96 WRs Tutu is #18 in receptions and #18 in yards. Why does he need a "breakout game"?by PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteShecky Agreed. Making up news = lazy story. Per the article, "Over his last two games, Atwell has been targeted 18 times. In fact, Atwell has been targeted nine times in three straight games after being targeted eight times in Week 1. On those 18 targets against the Bengals and Colts, Atwell has caught nine passes for 74 yards, which amounts to a 50% catch rate, 8.2 yards per catchby PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteCROMWELL21 Do you think the Chiefs regret picking BJ Thompson eleven picks before Puka Nacua like we regret the Tutu Atwell pick instead of Creed Humphrey? Granted the Rams also took Bennett, McClendon and Allen right before Puka too. Lol. I'd bet if you looked at every team, every team would have regrets about a pick or two. Yeah, I'll go with a two TE set and playaction to Akers with Stafford hitting Tutu for 6.by PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteStafford9 .Shecky, lets revisit this thread after Sunday's game. Right now, you and I have different outlooks on what this season will be like, I appreciate and respect your optimism, but we are looking at the same thing and seeing two different things. I am trying to tell myself we won a ring, but it feels like we way over paid. Win or lose lets keep this thread going. "Over paid&quoby PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
It's the perfect year to develop the future. All those young guys getting plenty of experience. By midseason we won't have rookies anymore. So anything can happen. Perfect scenario is develop a talented roster and back into the postseason due to some other team falling apart. Get some real experience for 2024. Quotesfbayram Good points. Snead and McVay at illogical. McVay is not head coach material if he can't recognize what the problems are and how to fix them. Snead is either on edibles or just plain stupid. It will take a lot of good players to this train back on the tracks. What I enjoy is how many fans are so much smarter than the coaching staff. The article says, "This is a team that’s clearly in rebuild mode, no matter what Snead says. But the outlook in 2024 is much brighter.". Why? If the season hasn't played out, how do they know 2024 will be "much brighter"?by PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
We don't have OBJ? We don't have Ramsey? Having those guys and winning 4 to 7 games would be better than not having those guys and winning 4 to 7 games? For me, instead of watching those stars lose games, I'll watch true unknown players, try to make a name for themselves. That is more exciting.......I mean, we're only gonna win 4 to 7 games anyway right?by PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBerendsenRam Yep, GroundPounder Im a Glass Half Full Fella I too 8-10 Win an at least a Wild Card Spot. GO RAMS! Since McVay came on the scene, teams have won 5 games or less 44 times. But 12 teams have accounted for 35 of them (80%); Hell, 8 teams count for 60%. That simply means crappy franchises. Brown might make it. Another guy who may latch on is the UDFA OC Hitner. Here's a couple of quotes from Lance Zierlein "Athletic, short-armed offensive lineman with the potential to offer roster flexibility at a number of positions. Hitner lacks power and struggles to find the length and hand strength to sustain his blocks, but he's ultra-athletic and has a chance at getting to the mosby PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
I doubt nothing when it comes to Kromer. He's started rookies in two places with success. Hell, Blythe wasn't all that experienced last year starting just 2 career games before the 16 in 2018. It wouldn't surprise me to see one of the two drafted rookies in the starting lineup. Inexperience is never a good thing but it's really bad if they're unprepared. Kromers lineman seem never to be unprepareby PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
Put me in the camp I thought Fisher was going to pick Wentz (more of a Steve McNair type than Goff) but I'm glad they got Goff. Wentz seems to be the more physically gifted QB but if that were true he wouldn't always be injured (IIRC he hurt his ribs in preseason as a rookie). Goff avoids contact with saavy pocket presence that extends plays while Wentz primarily runs around to extend plays. Thatby PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
There's a good chance Bobby Evans moves inside. I just get the feeling Kromer will put a very good OL together. McVay did say they would be cross training the two draft picks. If Noteboom and Allen take advantage of the opportunity there's Blythe, Demby, Evans, Edwards and maybe even that UDFA Hitner to fight for the last spot and backup positions.by PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn We've reached a semantic dead end...….. Meanwhile I have never heard of a player who gets severe pain (and that's TG's own description) in week one of a season on a surgical knee that was fine before that........ QuoteznFirst I don't accept that any and all injuries are results of "wear and tear." Injuries can happen at any time to anyone, because they are direct results of on the field actions causing a particular trauma. There are players with extensive playing time who don't get injured, and there are players with very little playing time who do get injured. In fact I doubt SJ's quad had anytby PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteznSounds to me like McGinnis knew what he was talking about. Or it was an impossible to dispell excuse for another poorly run Fisher team. Last year Dave McGinnis also gave Fisher credit for McVays success. Now does that sound like a guy who knows what he's talking about?by PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteznAnyway. Jackson getting injured is not the same thing and not what I was asking about.... It may not be what you asked about.....but it is a result of 'wear and tear'. You don't realize wear and tear being culmulative, doesn't go away because of the off season. As a result, you're hung up on that week 1 angle.....like wear and tear doesn't play a part, no matter what point in the seasonby PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn QuotePARAMLet's act for a moment like we actually know that it's the latter--that "wear and tear" just literally means wearing down over time. He's got an issue with his left knee. It was surgically repaired in 2014. That's part of the "wear and tear", maybe even the genesis of the wear and tear. The 'oh my god, it's something else' because it happened in week one and 'wear and tear doesn't happen in week 1' is much ado about nothing. The draft is a crap shoot. Successes at #2 the last 10-15 years? Wentz looked good last year. Let's see if he continues. Mariota looks good GRob is being moved to the right side and his 5th year option was declined Luke Joeckel was moved to OG by the Jags and they declined his 5th year option RG3 was a failure Von Miller a huge success Ndamukong Suh was a hit Jason Smith a bad picby PARAM - RamsFootballFans.com
