it has been quite surprising to watch people talk. It can be very noticeable... and I had never noticed it before. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
but of course - I can only relate anecdotal evidence. I can't speak for the entire population. Both the Costco lady and the Hearing specialist told me, in the coming days, to watch people speaking. Those I don't hear well won't move their lips much. So it's only been a couple of days, and I don't have much to go on... but I have been paying attention and it's holding true. You'll have to read, sorry, my previous post about hearing loss to fully get this, sorry. I bought 4 of my grandkids BEATS headphones for Christmas. And admittedly... I thought it was a waste of money BECAUSE I was sure they weren't better than many other headphones, (which are cheaper)... they were simply 'popular'. I was right, did the research, BUT BEATS ARE excellent. Bose are beby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Oh is THIS ever going to start a debate. :) Never the less, I found it fascinating. I was SICK of having to ask people to repeat themselves a half dozen times before I could understand what they were saying to me. I am not 'overly' vain... so wearing a hearing aid didn't trouble me in the least. Not even the big fat visible ones. I finally went to have my hearing checked. First I weby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I believe it's the best TV Special I've ever seen.... the building of Hoover Dam was a feat of engineering like nothing else I've ever seen. Truly amazing. To it rival putting a man on the moon. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I wasn't expecting this. :laughing We've been looking into Dordt the last couple of days. We love the educational offerings available there. There are very few NAIA or even NCAA Div II colleges that offer much in the way of engineering. My grandson visited Humboldt and Azusa Pacific but they really have nothing to offer in the way of engineering. I'll pass along the information to my gby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Of course I remember it. And now the 500 is nearly here. Can't wait. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
it was 6 back then.... civil war days. :) I was actually released early as they were phasing down with Viet Nam coming to an end.... and spent a year in the Army Reserves after active service. We didn't get along well with Reservists, AT ALL. :angry Gotta tell you a short story... about my very last day in uniform... (in the Army Reserves). Had an E-7... Sgt. Martinez, a bigger ego and jby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Was it ever 8? I didn't know that. I remember when I served there was a 6 year commitment but I can't remember if that was the Army, Navy, Air Force, all of them? - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
My grandson recently got a call from West Point.... I went ballistic... WOW. BUT... his coach, who is helping my grandson get noticed, said, "No Way - he'll do nothing but block for 4 years and it's his hands that are important". I dunno... maybe that's true... but wow, WEST POINT! :) - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
and it's NOT their football program. :noway It's their Engineering Classes.. which is what my grandson wants to major in... I've been reading reviews and they are EXCELLENT.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
that was scary... seems they have things under control now but still a hold on returning to your homes. I was actually AMAZED at the 'worst case scenario'.... amazed that it wouldn't be worse...if they're right, of course. Very sad situation, Todd... you have my sympathy. I wish you well. - Jimmyby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
My grandson has been contacted by Dordt College regarding playing football for them. We know nothing about Dordt College EXCEPT... of all the colleges that have contacted my grandson about playing football this is the ONLY college that offers a degree that fits my grandson perfectly (so far). My grandson is willing to compromise, (he wants to play)... but he's 17 and dumb. :spintounge We wanby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

it took me NO time to get used to progressives. And I mean no 'getting used to them' at all... I walked out wearing them and never noticed a thing different except that I could now read. And they came with very dire warnings, "You're going to hate these for a while"... "They could take months to get used to and you may never get used to them". Strategy can always be tweaked, improved. Nice addendum, Les. :thumbsupby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I'm getting hard of hearing.... I think hearing aids are in my near future. I can't follow conversations. I'm that guy that will ask you "What" 4 or 5 times in a row. BUT... I have found a cure for that. Now when i see someone's lips move, and realize they are speaking to me, I stop them and let them know, "I'm not going to hear anything you say... or rather, I will HEAR tby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
2017 hasn't started well for me. Lot of sickness.... I think it's because I see a doctor regularly now instead of my 'old system' in which I only went to the doctor when suffering from gunshot wounds or attacked by a rabid ferret. What's that got to do with baseball? nothing. California is wet... very wet, wetter than you'd guess. I had a tree fall over and onto the road yesterday thatby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Mostly I agree with you... cowering, changing up, especially when what you are doing, have been doing all season, is working I have never understood... it's one of the reasons I dislike prevent defenses... BUT... I think the play calling could have been better in that situation.. withOUT getting anal. I'm not sure what you mean when you say you're not into second guessing play calls. can't say this is my favorite.. but it's at the top of my list. I was curious if anyone else would post this... when the TV show first ran this was a smashing success... BUT.. I think it's probably a bit too old for most of you to remember. I was but a kid when this first made it's debut... but for me it captured the spirit of youth... when all things were possible, and life would only brinby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
in truth, I think he played magnificently. That sack, however, was bad. The play call, whatever it was or 'should' have been should have taken the scenario that played out into consideration and I don't think it did. It was a mistake, one of several.... and some of them made by Brady. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
not sure I agree with your point but it doesn't matter.... what the Patriots have done... FOR ME... doesn't even compare to what the 1980 Hockey Team accomplished. That's a VERY comforting thought for me right now. :thumbsupby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

I was actually rather pleased that Atlanta played their 'full game' right to the end instead of sitting back on their heels the way Fisher would have done. Didn't work, or course, but even so. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
