As you know I don't get much involved with what others say.. IOW, the media....so I'm not at all sure what Colon, ( :laughing ), has said this year. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a smack down when I'm presented with one. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
not completely, of course.. but Murray? Wow. That does NOT fall on him.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
thought of you often... seriously, during tonights game... and smiled every time I did.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
And the Rams are one of the eight. Can't express how much joy that gives me. Lot of talk this year about, (and I get this, I am NOT putting it down), it's all or nothing this year because the Ram's mortgaged their future... or, and including, gave up too much for Stafford (I'm a bit in that later category myself).... But I have never been an 'all or nothing' and unable to enjoy a good seby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
never the less... I stand firm that the Ram's win tonight even HAD Murray made those throws. Sure, much closer game, but same W.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay, "but we were able to stay in those manageable situations. ".... they've done that MANY times this year and blown it. Tonight they didn't. Focus on the why's of THAT. Right, Steve? Those 3rd and however many yards? :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Hey, maybe McVay is learning, huh? :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
what you're referring to as 'dump offs' should instead be the primary objective... which I think they were a big part of the time in that second half. IMHOby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the take away from both the media and maybe the Buc's will be focused on Murray's play, with the entire Card's team thrown in as well... and because of that I think they miss the fact that the Ram's played good football... yes, Murray screwed up, and yes, the Card's imploded... that fact does NOT necessarily negate the good play of the Rams. I think the media misses that point, and perhaby JamesJM - Game Time Forum
I can get a little excited during games.... but it seemed to me the pass plays out of empty sets in that second half were FAR more intended as quick releases, even if not 3 step drops, than we see the majority of the time. I believe it was very, very effective. Stay with that... especially against the Bucs.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Murray screwed up.... and I think you have to admit a little of the ole' 'bounce of the ball ' was a factor.... but even without that I firmly believe the Ram's win that game tonight... AND the ones coming up with the same effort. I don't think we can expect the play of Murray with Brady, (duh), nor perhaps the 'bounce of the ball'.... but going in to tonights game I felt both those factors neceby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
there ain't a hell of a lot he could have done about it even had he turned his head sooner. He was at max speed, full head of steam... to just suddenly check that for a ball thrown short is, sure, possible... but it takes a super athlete to do it. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
but not that Murray didn't screw up... that was a major screw up. I disagree what the score would have been.... the way the Rams were moving the ball I think it more likely you add the 2 for the safety and then another 7 for the Ram TD after the Card's punt.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
but I 'presumed' that VM comes out when a prevent, or semi-prevent call is made.... and that, I think, was the strategy in the 2nd half.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
but when so I think very wise.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I believe Stafford was mostly to blame for that pass that nearly everyone else said Akers dropped. He could have caught it... but it would have been miraculous... if the ball had even been chest high if not long enough which it was NOT, I think Cam comes down with that pass. So that's my one major disagreement with the board tonight. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
but other than that, (which is huge, granted), we came out of this game healthy, right? I was sweating bullets with Stafford scrambling at the end, Kupp in the game..... I was not using polite language.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
the rest of my family thinks they know for sure, that he inherited it from ME!!!!!by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
watched on my bedroom 40", HD but still small... and I couldn't see the ball very well at all as it sailed thru the air... but I swear I lived 3 lifetimes before that ball came down.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
sorry, but get a tad emotional during playoff games and can't remember who said what. But... I think you're spot on. I this this offense WAS built with Akers specifically in mind... and not JUST him, but Kupp, Woods, and others. Without Akers and Woods play fell off, IMHO, but not the scheme. Perhaps I'm over rating his impact tonight but I actually do think Akers tonight gave TB a whby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Ram's didn't allow last week to smother them in this game tonight... BUT... there had to be lingering effects. Drops... lingering effects... and now over and done with. All demons exorcised.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
That was not visible to the refs, I don't think.. .only the overhead view showed but it was positive proof indeed.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
by my 12 year old grandson. I watched alone.... my family knows that, respects the rules... but not the 12 year old who during the game periodically came into the room with some.... well, smart ass comments. Like: After the Rams first score, "yup, Papa, like you said, Stafford with throw a pick 6 on the first drive". After the second, (I think), 3 and out by the Cards, "Yupby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

what you heard... the announcers speculating that he got his foot stepped on. Glad to have Note in there to back him up... but sure seems to me to be a drop off in run blocking when Whit is out.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
and this from a guy who has been on his bandwagon since the get-go. Akers ran with attitude tonight... truly a beast.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
right after he was drafted I watched his youtube videos and I was instantly struck with awe and how fast he could sidestep, cut, then burst thru the gap. It was in your face fantastic.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
the 'quick' I knew... but before this year I thought his top end speed somewhat lacking... didn't seem so tonight. I mean, he's not a speed burned but he ain't bad.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
with only a very few exceptions, I've felt the Ram's were their own worst enemy.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
