QuoteRamsdude QuoteRams_81 What in the world are the Browns doing. I get clearing a spot if they like the guy behind him, but getting only a 5th rounder who most likely will be cut??? Hyde can play. Quotezn Quotesacram I'm in no way slamming McVay, but like any offensive play caller he has some warts. He himself is being self critical on this as well. I understand that McVay is aggressive, and that is much of the reason of our success. I just think there is a time to dial back that aggressiveness. QuoteRamsdude McVay is an aggressive play caller. With that being said, there will be times it is rewarding and others where it is not. We all saw what conservative play calling gets you...8-8 BS!!by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotesacram Hindsight is always 20-20, but up 3 scores with 3 minutes left in the third and you just intercepted a pass at your own 6 stopping a long Denver drive with zero points. Throwing a deep pass there to Cooks on first down just doesn't seem like a good move, as the Denver D was playing for the pass all game and Goff had been kind of "off" for most of the game, maybe because ofby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com

I originally voted for Gurley, then revoked my vote and selected Goff because you asked two different questions that I feel has two different answers. This may not make any sense whatsoever, but when you ask who can we least afford to lose, I choose Goff. If Goff went down, Mannion is up next who is a complete unknown. QuoteSpeed_Kills the wavering has to do with what I have seen through 6 games and how the field has evolved I thought going in ....how could I not expect a SB team? QuoteSaguaro I agree that my post IMPLIES that my expectations have been lowered, but I didn't state that. It's true, though. I think it's mostly due to the defense. I thought that even Goff 2.0 would be good enough to win a Superbowl with the Rams this year, if the defense was playing lights out. I don't see them playing lights out, which puts a lot more pressure on the offense. Thatby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSUretHing After 6 games last year Rams had let up 132 points This year its 118. Way to early to say no team has a top offense and defense. Agree with this point. I stated this in a thread last week that last year at this time, the D looked pretty bad. But Wade is a master at making adjustments. QuoteSaguaro It's Rams against the entire FIELD of other contenders that I'm estimating here. There is no other team that I think has better odds than the Rams. QuoteRamUK Firstly, we really can't be sure about this years crop of QB's. Secondly, that is a very, very short time to predict that it's a new trend. It's far more likely to be a hiccup if the last 40 years are anything to go by. You're right that we don't know it's a trend for sure but there are many signs that it is. 40 years isn't the most relevant thing anymore. 20 years, even 10by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteNJRam715 Who is more likely to win a Super Bowl first? The Giants with Barkley or the Jets with Darnold? I'll take the Giants for a $1000 please Alec. QuoteRamUK In the NFL. I have no clue where you get the belief that 3 elite QB's are drafted every year! Ther are more high quality RB's taken than there are QB's, but more importantly they have a much reduced impact on the team. My original comment was that the Giants probably messed up taking Barkley if Darnold turns out to be a high quality QB. IMO, there is a distinction to be madeby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteferragamo79 as Rosen has played 3 games and Darnold 5 games. As a huge Pac 12 fan, I doubt either becomes a franchise QB, but we will have a better idea after a couple of years. The issue isn't whether a team needs a great QB. I think we all agree to that. (If anyone doesn't, please speak up.) Nor is it whether a great RB is required. I think we all agree that an elite RB is not absolutely required. The issue is, given that it obviously is better to have both, do you automatically draft the QB when it's available? QuoteRockRam RBs can be effective in platoons (NE), as one single terrific one (LA), or as a tandem (like NO). The QB handles the ball on EVERY offensive play. Has to read the D's. Throw accurate. I agree having an elite RB is not required but rarity of player is still a huge factor. What's better than having a franchise/elite QB? Having an elite QB AND RB.
