What's the evidence to keep him?by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
We just don't have enough difference makers on a team that's had a massive amount of draft picks and freed themselves from a bad contract situation 2 offseasons ago by trading Bradford. Our free agency additions have not exactly pushed us over the hump. We need a new front office - top to bottom. Get rid of or demote Demoff - bring in a new GM and coach.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
Or some other load of garbage corporate speak. Words to the effect that the job he's done as a coach is so much more than the amount of games they've won! Can you believe someone in professional sports saying something like that out loud? Perhaps he'll be there at the end of the year to give lil jeff a participation trophy and a pizza party.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
So, there's proabably a few stray dollars here and there coming in. So refreshing to hear about a sports philanthropist who only owns teams to win - taking nothing for himself. What a guy.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
My experience is with his hockey team - the AVS and they have been showing similar signs of an ownership that does not prioritize winning. I don't follow the NBA much but I believe the Nuggets haven't exactly been a powerhouse. Maybe Arsenal is the exception. So he's had success with 25% of his teams. It doesn't seem as though being the best is on his agenda with the other 3 teams.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm an AVS fan and the team has been underachieving for years. See if this sound familiar - a known weakness that's never addressed (for the AVS it's the blue line), a 'core' of highly paid players that aren't difference makers, don't show up every night and seem too comfortable with losing. A GM who's had a few flashy draft hits but poor picks overall have left the team without depth. A localby promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
That could be a cool band name - 'Spector of relocation'. Or a character like 'the ghost of Christmas Past'.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
How about these excuses: Team loses it's starting QB to non contact injury before season starts. Future HOF running back injured and misses bulk of season. 11 games in they have a winning record and are in playoff hunt - Vikings. Team loses it's franchise QB 12 plays into first preseason game. Has to start a 4th round rookie pick alongside rookie rb. Teams goes 10-1 can clinch a playoffby promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com

I do enjoy your spin though.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
Guy can say what he wants. Is there some rule against criticizing teams and coaches? Some of your post sounds a little odd - 'one of his boys needs to tell him to STFU'? You are hoping he's silenced? What difference does it make to you?by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
He WAS the offense for years and one of the greatest backs that ever played. Yes he should have been paid. Are you seriously going to defend Shaw and Georgia - 2 of the greediest people around? Guys didn't make tens of millions of dollars in those days. It was pre free agency. Careers were also shorter. I don't blame Dickerson one bit for playing hardball and wanting to get what he earnedby promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
We were the only team that made a claim on a player. Good thing it 'only' cost us a 5th. Guy, apparently, was worthless as he never even dressed as a backup O-line, I don't believe. Again, lots of 5th round picks wash out so it's no biggie, but just fits a pattern of offensive drafting ineptitude from Snisher.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
Coach did try and give him a chance and went out of his way, too far if you ask me. But it was the genius duo of Rich Brooks and Steve Ortmeyer who traded away a class act - Bettis - to bring in this scary, broken human being. Good work fellas.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks and no.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
It doesn't work like that. A new Head Coach is going to bring in his own staff not borrow someone else's. Linehan more than anyone else on that list? Really? He had 3 seasons here and seemed totally lost.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
Also no Saban, Meyer, college lifer guys.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
Just trying to get a handle on what that even means.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
That's all I could think during Hard Knocks when he was butt hurt that Goff only bought fans for the offense. Like somehow it was an offense to the 'real' part of the team. You notice it's always the defensive players who are getting personal fouls, starting fights, etc? They know ole uncle Jeffy won't discipline them or call them on their BS.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
His name will be hot at the end of the year. Plus his name is cool. How awesome if the coach for the glitzy team from LA was Jim Bob?by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
Who else you got?by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
Great readby promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
Sounds like someone the players don't care to play for or have a connection with. Again, who's the last college head coach with little to no NFL recent experience who made the successful transition to the pro game? Jimmy Johnson - 25 years ago?by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
Very impressive. I thought he looked ok for a guy that could be playing his senior year at Cal right now. They asked him to manage the game and not take penalties and commit turnovers. He was able to do that. His teammates not so much.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
He's trying to run for 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Not push the ball down the field too fast, no hurry up - grind the clock. Take a shot or 2. Kick some fleld goals. Hold on and 'win at the end'. I think that's the whole issue with Fisher in a nutshell. It's why he doesn't want to hire a real OC. Odd, but in a way - trying to control things too much for most of the game leaves you sucby promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
Saffold, Kendricks, Laurneitis (prime of his career), SJ (at end of his career, for sure), Sam Bradford, couple other serviceable players. Not stacked at all, but not the 2016 Browns. You give Fisher too much credit for his spectacular 7-8-1 first year campaign.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
When you're gameplan is to 'keep it close' and win at the end, every game becomes more like a coin flip or 50/50 proposition. One week we get a defensive stop at the end and win (Jets) others we throw the pick at the end and lose (Detroit). It's how you can hit the bizarre consistency of Jeff Fisher teams - 4-6 at the 10 game mark every year but one.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
I loved what he did with the Rams O and would be fine with him as QB coach or even offensive coordinator, but his time as a head coach came and went. Do people throw out his name because he is somehow forever tied to this organization? How about we get DV back in here? George Allen - is he still alive? Think outside the horns. We need a fresh start.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
New coach should be a bright offensive mind. Someone who's had success developing QB's and innovative gameplans. We gave up a lot for Goff - we need to give him every opportunity to succeed and not just game manage. Another name that's got some heat these days is Jim Bob Cooter in Detroit. People keep trotting out Martz, Norv Tuner, Jon Gruden, Jimmy Johnson. No thanks. And the sameby promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes we found him and developed him. For another NFC team. Great work front office. Young shut down corner coming into the prime of his career. Why would we want that as we make our push to the Super Bowl. over the next couple seasons. They're pretty easy to find.by promomasterj - RamsFootballFans.com
