I was thinking more like it would be 27-17 with a couple minutes left and the Vikes score a garbage time TD to cut the lead to 3. Don't worry -- we won't need a Ficken pressure kick. :thumbsupby JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
Did you lose a fantasy football game because of that sack? :-)by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43We were more effective going for it on 4th down, Hekker on a FG attempt, and attempting 2 point conversions in that second game than with Ficken. Frankly, I liked Hekker's kickoffs -- they landed right at the goal line and the returners never made it to the 20.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
UPDATE 1:22 p.m. ET: Whitworth tweeted out word that he was just getting a massage, and Clayton has corrected his report. Which is good news for the Rams. Must've been a deep tissue massage.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
Teams can double Donald and handle our ends one one one with ease. They're no threat at all.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
He would not/could not do that if his Achilles were torn, correct?by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
IMO, the reason Goff is getting this rep is due in some part to how easy he makes it look. He moves subtly around the pocket, never panics, never gets frantic or happy feet, has a nice smooth delivery, and a personality to match his play. He just makes it look so easy that people think it IS easy -- a product of the system -- and he doesn't get the credit he deserves.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
More fun... ====================================================== I know they usually keep an ambulance at the games but this week they may consider keeping a spare so Bradford can have his own. I just cant see Smith successfully blocking any of those guys on the rams dline ====================================================== I'll be at the game with like 9 other friends aby JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
My big worry is that I didn't see any edge pressure at all. I don't know if Wade's strategy was to collapse the pocket from the tackles and ends and keep Carr in the pocket, or if our DEs just can't get around the edge. If the latter, that's going to be a problem.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, a thigh to the skull, then a knee to the face, then a foot to the nose. A right cross to the face followed by two stiff jabs.by JYB - Game Time Forum
Losing Mack has to sting mentally. Raider players are in shock, and that could take some time to get over. I recall a few years back when the Pats traded Lawyer Milloy to the Bills on the eve of opening week, and the Bills blew them out something like 40-0. I think the Pats went on to win the SB that year, but the gut punch of losing Milloy stunned them for a while.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRamThe question is this: how to do you become the NE Pats who manage to have the league's best QB and vie every single year for over a decade for the Superbowl? Helps to be in football's worst division for 20 straight years. An automatic division win and bye week almost by default.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- thought for sure it would be overturned, arm was going forward almost full extent when ball came out and went forward. Was definitely a classic example of the "Tuck Rule" -- concocted to save the Patriots playoff run against, ironically enough, the Raiders. Even though this was a preseason game, I'm certain every Raider fan was demanding to know why this same call wasby JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
Hopefully they're just doing this in the preseason as a way to discourage it in the regular season. I recall something similar occurred with another rule change a few years back, which was heavily enforced during the preseason and then ignored during the regular season. Forget the rule. Maybe it was also lowering the head.by JYB - Game Time Forum
Any relation?by JYB - Game Time Forum
This season really has a 2000 feel to it, at least on the offensive side. As with the 2000 season, the offense had already established itself the previous season and was working on fine-tuning it even further. Goff really appears to be ascending and really starting to hit his stride, and the entire unit has a firm, quiet confidence. Only hope the defense doesn't fall apart like it did under tby JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamUK That would have cost their 1st and 2nd this year, their 1st and 2nd next year and then some. Doesn't sound very patriot to me. Maybe they were trying to get the Jets to panic and give up a bunch of picks to move up #2 to grab Mayfield. That DOES sound very Patriot to me. :-)by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com

There's a fun thread over at the Niner forum on Obo. Started in December when draft discussions began, when many of their fans expressed a lot of interest in him, and ends after the draft, when they lament the Rams grabbing him. It's 32 pages in total, but we'll worth checking out. Below are a few snippets. ========================================================= darockzillahitmanby JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
One of my favorite parts of the draft process is reading evaluations from you, Alyo, Flipper and others, and I particularly love the post draft analyses You guys have become quite adept at not only identifying talent, but predicting which way Snead will go, which enhances your credibility even more. Just wanna let you know that those of us who are mostly silent bystanders also really apprecby JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamBill Why does there have to be a winner and loser in this situation? There actually could be two winners....which i think is the case. I think the whole premise is silly, because they are evaluating the trade based on how successful the drafted players turn out. But different teams could (and would) take the exact same trade and doing something completely different with it. And so tby JYB - RamsFootballFans.com

Interesting fact: The Rams lead the all-time series vs. every opponent they will face this season, with the exception of the Packers, with whom they are tied at 46-46-2.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
I suspect the success of Goff and Wentz -- and what they've done for their teams -- is really helping push the QBs up the board this year. Watson, too. Been some really good hits at the QB position in recent years, which is probably providing a bit of a false sense of security among GMs. But I get the feeling we're due for another crop of big of busts at the position.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com

QuotePeoriaRa Frankly, I am stunned at the moves the Rams have made this offseason. The trades, the signings, I think it is fair to say there has never been a more eventful Rams offseason in terms of constant, big moves. And I will be honest and say I am nervous about all of this coming together with the chemistry necessary for this team to live up to its talent and potential. But if you lby JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
