These car repair Insurance plans are gaining steam and multiplying. BANK IT.....The car parts industry is gonna jack up prices, Mechanics are gonna jack up prices to where people almost need those plans. Regular car insurance is a big reason why collision repair is crazy. They KNOW the Insurance companies will simply write the check. Yeah.. I have a feeling its about to become a big racket. It's sad but sorta cool to see the old road side Motels, along Hwy 301 and Hwy 17. Some are still open. Down towards Starke, Florida...halfway to Gainesville, there's actually a couple that are still quite nice. Seeing them, I think back to what they were like in their heydays. Found them at his place after he passed. He had mentioned, about 30 years ago, doing another layout. He bought those cars at a Hobby Shop clearance a LONG time ago. Around the time we lost all three of the Hobby Shops that sell train stuff. Jacksonville has just ONE Hobby Shop and it mostly focuses on RC cars. I tell my boys to save their money. Just a simple phone call is great. And they did. My Wife and I have spent waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much on this house in just a year. The flat car, an orange box car and red caboose. I STILL have it all except the engine. I wore that thing out! I was SOOOO happy with that set, I remember when you could buy new HO engines for hardly $10. These days, a good one is pushing $100. I have seen some going for $200-$400. GEESH! He was a retired Major from the Army Air Corp / USAF. They'd go to Myrtle Beach AFB Exchange and buy cigarettes 8 cartons at a time. Somehow, cigarettes did not kill him. He lived to be 96. But my poor Aunt. She essentially drowned in her own lung fluid. It was bad. But even she lived to be about 82-83. I bet they both smoked 4-6 packs every day for decades.by Ramgator - Bucky's Pub

A few months after my Covid.....Vax and Booster, I had some alarming abdominal pains that last almost 2 years. Initially, they scared the hell out of me. Especially being in the Liver / Pancreas area. But then they started to rotate all over my abdominal. Even the very lower left quadrant, that has the least amount of vital stuff. I woke up convulsing for about 5 minutes and my heart felt like it was thumping out of my chest. I literally thought my Wife was being silly and shaking me but she was not in the room watching TV. I REALLY should have gone to the ER, it was that bad. Dozed off and woke up 3 hours later to sweat dripping off every part of me. It was literally dripping off my feet. The USA win over the Soviets in 1980. We will never see anything like that ever again. I have been to 3-4 Hockey games and actually enjoyed them. That a put on plywood that rolled under one of my boy's bed. I THOUGHT they might enjoy it but they preferred the Brio wood trains more and got bored with mine. When the ex and I built back in 2002, I did that for 3-4 years with St Augustine grass. It was 3-4 years of ENDLESS PAIN...Not enough rain....TOO much rain....Lawn food....Pesticides....Fungicides.... And every step of the way, it tried its best to die or get overrun with weeds. Wife and I splurged twice over the years and paid $$$ for "top of the line" no stick pans. Got a year out of one and hardly 4-5 months out of the second. And we are rather simple Cooks. I just buy cheap now and use a quick spray of Pam to get more time out of them. Really by rights, nothing beats a good old fashioned , heavy, seasoned pan. Worked with a fella on the Fire Department who had an Uncle that had some sort of heart surgery some years ago. He told me his Uncle never had insurance but always put a decent amount of money aside for medical care. My Bud told me that the surgery and costs was gonna be well over 100 grand but the Hospital accepted $18,000 cash. I will say, this was a tiny town, in Georgia, I think.
