Dakota looked great shooting gaps and being disruptive. But maybe he was free-lancing and not playing the position as coached. If so, then he is an undisciplined player that can look great but is not reliable. Defense requires everybody to do their job. Or else. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Nice fantasy. Mark me down for a ditto. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Just what the doctor ordered IMO. He played VERY well as an OL sub that year. OL injuries could easily derail the Rams this year if nothing is done IMO. And we DO have trade bait. Here's hoping. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
As some have feared, and could endanger the season. One OL injury & weak link subs in = Offense is disrupted big time. Time to trade somebody (Troy Hill?) for vet OL depth? IMO if you're planning a playoff run, you need TWO reliable OL depth guys. Currently looks like zero. . . BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Watched game 2 on GamePass. Siciliano, MJD, Mina -- All 3 were bright and informed. Attractive personalities. Had fun, played it light. Lots of good football talk but didn't talk too much. Kept away from cliches, what a relief compared to the norm. What a pleasant contrast to the Oakland crew. . . Mina was an especially unexpected surprise. Well done Rams. Hope to hear a lot more from theby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the importance of this is hard to overstate. It's one of the main reasons why I believe the Rams will be a very good team (and desirable player destination) for the indefinite future. Generous but practical front office, foresighted and perceptive drafting, superior coaching staff, smart and dedicated players and fantastic team culture. What a formula for NFL success! And what a gloriby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
You like him to make the team? BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think so. Who the heck makes up this depth chart, anyway? I'd like to know because I think he's off base. I trust several guys on here more than him. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
IIRC, he's the biggest of our OLBs, 265+ I believe, but pretty fast. He's kind of a DE/OLB tweener, the kind of player Wade likes to use. I like a bigger OLB on the strong side for run downs, he could back up Samson . The Rams were apparently high on him last year before he got hurt. Not a player guru but I've been pulling for him. We'll see. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I see what you mean, it would be GREAT to have a really good NT THIS year. Don't care about Smart at all, but I'd hate to lose Fox. JMO. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
1975: Fanning, Harrah, France, Perry, Haden (tho not a Haden fan TBH). 1977: Brudzinski, Cromwell, Waddy, Tyler, Ferragamo (big fan). 1980: Johnny Johnson, Pankey, Leroy Irvin, Guman. Hon Mentions 1998: Wistrom, Little, Hakim, Roland Williams 2012: Brock, Janoris, Tru, Zeurlein 2014: AD (he alone makes it a great draft!), Joyner, EJ McVay Era 2017 Everett, Kupp, JJ, Reynolds, Samson (by BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
There's no guarantee we don't lose somebody at WR. This offense NEEDS 3 WR threats. Maybe McVay has other options in his quiver but seems pretty clear to me this O functions best with 3 threats at WR. I say keep him. This year IS going to be tougher. Tougher schedule, target on their backs. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Great to be able to read these reports from knowledgeable posters. I'm starting to take OldNotDead's observations particularly seriously. He sounds to me like he knows what he is seeing. thanks BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Love this kind of analysis. thanks. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
FWIW (not much, agreed): Hodge in, TE Brown out (PS?) Natson out M. Thomas in (gunner). They gotta find someone to return punts that can do something else too. T Howard out, Christian in (experience). Who the heck is Carraway? He's out, Hadfield in. Agreed, a pretty strong roster. Hopeful about Gaines, Allen, Ebukam, Obo. Rooting for Fox. Not sure about Blythe starting, great backup tho'.by BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Honorable mention: Van Brocklin, Crazylegs, Youngblood, Dickerson, Harrah, Mack, Pace, Bruce, Warner. Many more could be mentioned. Fears, Arnett, McCutcheon, Gabe, Shofner, Night Train, Aeneas, more on the way. Hekker! Pretty impressive tradition. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Christian is solid and must know the system as Wade obviously trusts him. Not going anywhere. Rapp is learning. Maybe heir apparent/complement. I too am intrigued with T. Young, for some reason have always had high hopes for him. Man, wouldn't it be great if he, Fox and/or Obo turn out to be pass rush monsters? Maybe I'm catching 43-itis! BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the Eagles and Saints are as good as the Rams. The Bears aren't, nor are the Cowboys. Seattle should be very good. 49ers may be too. Arizona will be better. Rams will have to bring some new wrinkles and have good health, but other things being equal I think they are in the top rank of the NFC teams and should win NFC West by 1-2 games. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
For what? a 6th round pick? A 7th?? Big whoop. Higbee can BLOCK. He has made impressive catches. He's getting better. He's still cheap. IMO dumb idea. Especially since thinking you're gonna get the better of Belichik in a trade is a fool's errand. Nope, not me. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
You guys rock and your expertise is one of the major draws of this website. Add my thanks too. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Well thought out 43. Too bad you're not an NFL owner. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Old school/New look. Hey Kevin, THIS is what Ram fans want! BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I'd be interested in keeping Higbee and Thomas if they come cheap (Thomas should). Higs blocks well and is showing better hands, Thomas was a killer gunner. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not really sure how good Bryce would be as an everyday ILB, he hasn't played much. But he's a force on Teams and knows the D system and I presume D calls (backed up Littleton, didn't he?). Good cheap insurance and we don't have a lot of money left. So, yes, I like it. Relieved in fact. There was NO depth at ILB. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Totally agree, he lost me there. Bad, bad play. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
It ain't broke Kevin, and don't need fixing!! BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Adderley or Thornhill at S, Winovich on the Edge and McCoy and Risner on the OL. Lean OL myself. We need a great OL, plain and simple. Fabulous thread all, my thanks especially to our draft gurus. You guys are amazing. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I will have this list in front of me on draft day. You and Alyo are the guys I listen to. Thanks again, we're so lucky to have access to your expertise. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks Mama, that was fascinating. Don't think I've ever read such a revealing look inside a team. Pretty even handed too (not a McCarthy fan). BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
