We're so lucky to have you guys handicapping for us. Thanks both of you. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Not sure why, but I feel a lot better about the Rams roster with Brock back. Suddenly the D looks OK, and the draft seems possibly enough to fill major holes. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Counting on depth improvement next year. The young guys better step up or it's gonna be a long season. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
My guess: LT: Whit, Noteboom (when ready), Evans until then LG: Brewer, Corbett (or the reverse) C: Blythe, Allen / Shelton, Trewyn (one of last 2 to PS) RG: Edwards, Evans, Brewer RT: Havenstein or Evans (depending), Nowhere: Kolone, Demby BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Donald, Ramsay, Hekker: studs. Goff, Higbee, Cooks, Woods, Kupp, Whit, JJ3: proven above average NFL players. Rest of roster: ????? Locker room: ??? Wow. Big losses. No draft capital. Only unproven young guys to plug holes. More 7-9 BS?? I'm not sanguine. Could be wrong. True test for McSnead coming. Looking for my rose colored glasses. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Great as always to hear your thoughts. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Of a terrific scouting/reporting eye. Which we all appreciate a ton as you know. But more importantly an example of an excellent human being. Your sympathy for your wife's decision, as unhappy as that was for you. Your dedication to being a great single dad on top of everything else. Your resilience and determination in the face of "slings and arrows". I join the rest of the bby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Unbelievable expertise Dead. WAYYYYY better than the media guys. We are super lucky to have your thoughts. Thanks BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
So find somebody late or cheap in FA. Snead is good at both. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Usually there is plenty of RB talent in the draft. This year I saw LOTS of NFL RBs I'd rather have than Gurley. Yeah the OL sucked. But I saw too many backs tearing loose, making guys miss, getting yardage out of nothing. Todd has occasionally but not very often. And I saw ZERO homerun threat and iffy hands to boot. I wonder about his attitude sometimes too. Hope I'm wrong about that. Be greby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
IMO Tessitore has more of value to say. Booger makes a couple of contributions a game but most of the time he just talks to be saying something. No non-obvious content. Friends watching have much better observations. He's wrong a lot. Talks about himself too much. Whoever hired him should be fired. Really, really bad. SMH. OTOH, Tony Romo is fun, personable and very informative. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteoldschoolramfan It's very simple....... 1. Blue and Gold color scheme like the 79' SB with Ferragamo. White trim is perfect! 2. Widen the horns......Horns meet at crown of helmet, TOGETHER! Then, stay THICK.....No SWIRLS!!! 3. Throwbacks are the oldschool Blue and Whites. Alternate White jersey with blue #'s......Blue jersey with white #'s. 4. Get rid of the cartoon "grinby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
He hits in Seattle and we're in the playoffs, as I understand it. At the time I instantly felt our season was maybe gonna come up short. He was, what, 65% this season? Not good enough, sorry. Plus I look at other kickers kick the ball straight through the uprights, perfect end-over-end. His kicks wander and do not have that look. As others have said, being able to hit from 65 is great but noby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
He is not only sooooo valuable for his relentless optimism (a nice counterpoint when things aren't going well). If find his judgments quite often right on, and always worth listening to. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Hard for me to disagree with any of that. Tough, tough spot. Might be fighting for 3rd in the NFC West next year. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
With you there. Let's not repeat that mistake. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Bad OL = gigantic hit to offense. Maybe they saw this coming, but looks to me like a huge waste of skill position talent to have such a shaky OL. Sure they will probably get better, but the Rams might miss the playoffs due to this miscalculation. What a waste if so. The Brain Trust not looking so brainy IMO. (Or maybe Stan's plan is all about 2020, but Niners are now a force, still a miscalcuby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I can see why he would be a great teammate. Sorry to lose him, but gotta go with Ramsey if that's the tradeoff. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
They took a chance and lost badly. Poor use of resources. Alll\ starts up front. Duh. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow, that is just pathetic. Hard to imagine such a meltdown after last year. Yeah, we expected growing pains, but this is ridiculous. No O-Line = no offense, regardless of the skill guys. Can they fix it? We'll see . . . BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Slants, HB leakouts, arrow routes out, hooks under. Should beat a 6-1 seems to me. ??? BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
The O needs a short passing game. Other less talented teams just crank off short pass gains, no prob. McVay doesn't seem to have one. TBay got massive pressure and wasn't afraid to blitz/mix up the pressures. Our OL couldn't deal with it, McVay's answer was to stay the course with slow developing passes and let Jarod get pummeled. Their run D is stout, so running would have been tough even wiby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
No wonder I hated Schottenheimer as OC. Glad Seattle's got him. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Might have something to do with Goff's struggles. Just a guess. Noticed some good pressure-avoidance pocket movement lately, he's learning. Never felt good about the OL strategy for this year. Verrrrry thin depth (bordering on zero). 2 OL injuries and then where are we offensively? Nowhere probably. Maybe we're seeing a "get ready for the new stadium" / maximize 2020.strategy.by BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks Max. It did change the trend line slope from about -1.75 a week to about -2.3 a week. Not as much as I expected but something. I for one do find this stuff interesting, and still would be interested in what happens if the last 3 playoff games are omitted. Did you use least squares or just straight differential? BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Disregard the 160 and the 20 data points and the trend line for the remaining data has to have a lesser downward slope. It's obvious. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Max, Thanks for this. Interesting data. If you throw out the week 4 high and the week 13 low, the downward slope of the graph would moderate a lot. IOW if they were reversed, the slope might even rise. Then, if you truncate the last 3 weeks (vs playoff teams) I think the downward slope would be minimal. To be expected that his rating would drop vs better teams. Could you do that jusby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I really look forward to your reports. Thanks man. Agree, Jared was not seeing the field well at all. Bad sign. Gurley was a monster when it counted (the 1st down to seal it). Good work McVay keeping him fresh. Hated the soft zone but it worked (barely). Maybe it was Weddle and the lead but playing with fire IMO. It sure looked weak compared to NE though, man they put everybody up andby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Dakota looked great shooting gaps and being disruptive. But maybe he was free-lancing and not playing the position as coached. If so, then he is an undisciplined player that can look great but is not reliable. Defense requires everybody to do their job. Or else. BCby BC Ramsfan - RamsFootballFans.com
