I am not surprised at all he's out there given his ACL injury was a month earlier in the season than Kupp's was in 2018. And Kupp was a full-go in OTAs last May and in camp. If nothing else Noteboom should be motivated as he's really in a contract year. They do not have to pick up his 4th year in 2021. His cap for next year is $1.125M and they would save $920k without him. He absolutely has toby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
My bet is zero for the first two games. And since they are on the road 4 of their first 6 games they can try to target 10/26 vs. Chicago for having some capacity. Next home game after that is 11/15 vs. Seattle. So having a schedule back-loaded with home dates might be beneficial for them in that regard. Maybe.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
She's doing really well so far. Clearly takes her job seriously and is looking for meat, not fluff. The 11 Personnel podcast with her and Rich Hammond is good.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think he's one of those RBs who's pretty good at everything- running (between the tackles), receiving and blocking- but not exceptional at anything. He's a nice guy to have that can play situationally or start a game or two here and there. His YPC were actually better earlier in 2019 when the OL was a mess than later in the season when things stabilized (4.2 vs. 3.4 YPC).by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm a flag football coach for 12-year olds and I give the same advice. Good to know I'm right!by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I do agree that just 8-10 lbs. of weight plus overall increase in strength could make quite a bit of difference for him. He was simply stood up (and pushed back) at the POA way too much last year. OL do take 2-3 years to develop the NFL size and strength they need. With him having to deal with COVID and the bizarre offseason I'm just not sure he was able to add that size and strength. I don't know the nuances of it but I think Ebukam could play situationally inside. Maybe not in a base, 3-4 set but maybe, for example, in dime packages where they're in basically a 3-2-6 or something. Anyway I think he has a role in some packages but he's not a great pure edge rusher for sure.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I predict Webster sticks as the WR5 and punt returner. Allen might make it but as the OL's 8th man. Most of the rest will or won't make it based on their special teams ability. If Demby makes this roster we're in trouble.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I grew up in Las Vegas in the '70s and '80s a huge UNLV fan. His Fresno State teams were the only real (conference) competition they had in those years. They had some great battles.by LMU93 - Bucky's Pub
Yeah, I think that's a fair analysis. He has been a tough guy to figure out. As a rookie in 2017 he came on pretty fast and after their bye week was playing a lot and did well for a rookie. 2018 came and- apart from his fantastic KC game- he just didn't do a lot. 2019 he flashes here or there but nothing consistent. Though he did have more sacks (4.5) in 2019 vs 2018 (3.0) in 20% fewer snaps (pluby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
It makes sense that Ebukam has the inside track to start in September. But who knows beyond that. Just like in 2017 when he started the season averaging about 10 snaps per game and then after their midseason bye it was almost 30 snaps/game. Same could happen with Lewis.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
My opinion- in a league where there are so many worst-to-first movements year in and year out, I think it's fair to say only 10 or 12 teams are not Super Bowl contenders. In the Rams case- are they in the top 5-6 most likely? No. And the tough division is an absolute factor. But- especially in a year like this- having a top-tier Head Coach, an established QB (with that coach), clearly a top-5 WRby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Johnson plus Rapp (year 2) > Weddle plus Rapp (rookie). And Ramsey is absolutely better than either Talib or Peters were entering 2019. To me the main secondary question is nickel CB where they have some good candidates but they're replacing NRC who was really good for them overall for the past 3 years.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Really wish they'd dealt with JB Long's audio. Hard to follow when you can only hear D'Marco.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Personally I think that CB competition is Hill vs. Long with Williams being the inside nickel guy (perhaps pushed down the line by Burgess). But like you said we'll see.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
You're right, there's healthy competition at many spots. The 5 I'm personally most interested in and feel carry the most weight in impacting the team, though: RB, OG, OLB/EDGE, nickel CB and K.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it's still very much a three-way competition between Edwards, Evans and Corbett for the two guard spots. Good to see Noteboom and Allen moving well at this stage.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

I agree. For someone that was All-Rookie in 2015 and had very solid seasons in 2017 and 2018 his steep drop-off was puzzling. Once they did not release or trade him this spring it was a signal the coaches felt something was wrong that could be remedied. Glad he is feeling well. There could be a nice domino effect on the OL if he is reliable again.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Just to your point about "juggle some Donald money." But, well, who's to say Donald is still a Ram in 2023? He will be 32 years old then. He's a physical freak, already easily one of the 10 best players this franchise has ever had and closing fast on top 4. But just saying... In 2023 and 2024 his collective $41M due is entirely non-guaranteed money. The Rams could easily- if they had goby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

Apologies if someone already posted this. 2020 NFL Team Preview: Los Angeles Rams After reaching the Super Bowl in 2018, the Rams disappointed in 2019 as their explosive offense came back down to earth. The offensive line was a revolving door of disaster, and they enter 2020 with a roster that's missing some of the 2018 splash names on both sides of the ball. I agree. They drafted Hopkins with an eye on him being the TE2 in 2021. Everett has never become the Rams' Jordan Reed we hoped he would. But he's hardly been invisible either- 70 catches over his 2nd and 3rd seasons including 34 in the first 9 games last year. I think he'll continue to contribute- probably inconsistently- this year. And I'll remember Everett 20+ years from now for this:by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it's one of those things where the most likely return in a trade (7th or maybe 6th round pick?) doesn't outweigh the value of having him his year.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
