i keep wondering if they will move brockers back into the middle and let JFM compete with a relatively high pick for the de spot. imo JFM flashed in a relatively few number of snaps.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
So what would be your guess in terms of a yearly average for saffold? I'm guessing around 10. Too high?by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Sorry about the typo... Marshall is definitely a guy I'd target as well. I guess I'm just not sure the numbers can work without some additional restructuring but maybe I'm wrong. Nevertheless I agree they wont enter the season with 4 rookies as startersby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
would you give that to littleton?by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
well tbh that was my first thought as well but i think signing saffold and either fowler or another edge rusher is a higher priority. saffold is likely to get 11 and fowler 9 (maybe more?) plus they need about 6 for the draft. their cap is 24 but releasing barron get them to about 31. so that leaves sbout 5 million which does not account for ressigning littleton or any other rfa. my point isby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
the rams currently have a number of prospects at OLB including ebukan, fowler (ufa), okoronkwo, lawler, and young. on the other hand the prospects at ilb are slim. assuming barron is cut that really just leaves littleness (rfa) and kiser. while all are relatively young, few of the olb have generated much of a pass rush thus far. fowler has probably been the best. neverthless, as has been notedby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
im not in favor of cutting brockers or creating additional holes. personally i think i would let suh walk, keep brockers and move him back to NT and give JFM a shot to start at the 5 technique spot. I would also draft a DL guy relatively high (1-3). on a side note i dont mind keeping suh, but that would be a lot of money invested in the DL. as has been noted before, the big money spots in wadesby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Gotta love the old eyeball test...no one can dispute a qualitative assertion with real quantitative data. Quotespagsbacker my bad. The other stats don't mean much to me. I prefer to judge by what I see, not cherry pick stats that serve my narrative. I hope im wrong, but count me in the skeptics that simply dont view Goff as an upper echelon QB go ramsby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com

Hes 33 years old. I think there are better options some even currently on the team.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
You however demonstrate a number of notable differences. You note that 1. The rams were successful this year in part BECAUSE of Goff and not inspite of him. 2. Goff has performed better than average overall 3. Goff has a high ceiling and 4. Becoming a successful NFL QB is a typically a process. youre clealry not the only goff skeptic but youre the only goff skeptic that i know of that characterized the offense as a "juggernaut." And while putting up by your own admission "big numbers" doesnt make goff "great" it does make him "good enough" to put up "big numbers" despite possessing all of the deficiencies you noted. also, i dont thinkby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
im not sure im following your logic here. on more than 1 occasion you have expressed your concern with goff as the qb of this team. so if hes as you have indicated at best average: 1. how was this team EVER an "offensive juggernaut"? it seems to me difficult for a juggernaut of an offense to be guided by average qb. 2. an olineman will be of little use if the qb is so average.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
while his play int he playoffs made me waiver, i tend to agree with your assessment. so if suh walks, who takes his place? I suggest brockers goes back to nt and we pencil in franklin-myers at de. plus i think you want to commit a premium draft selection to the dline.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
i have to admit...as i was reading deadpools mock i was thinking the same thing so it made me chuckle to see the "preemptive strike" at the end of the post.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com

Goff hater strikes again. Good one. Cant wait for your next "goff sucks, hope he improves" post.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with your assessment. It's my belief that Goff simply didnt play very well possibly due to the defense that the Pats played as have many other QBs over the years. So according to that definition he played poorly but did not choke.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Didn't wade draft him in the 1st round as a nt?by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
The entire narrative on goff changes to "he struggled early but made the tough throws in crunch time" az nd the league is singing his praises about how he went toe to toe with the goat and won.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
No need to apologize. I'm not that thin skinned. Moreover I have no problem debating Goff should you or anyone else choose. I have a problem when the "debate" is agenda driven. As I said before the OP consistently posts his "concerns" about goff after a bad game but is not only silent after a good performance but completely ignores their existence. both qbs were less then stellar. the defenses dominated. the game pretty much came down to 2 plays. brady hit gronk for what would be a td. and cooks dropped a laser from goff in end endzone. cooks makes that play and the narrative on goff changes to "struggled early but came through when the game was on the line"by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
not sure who you are referring to but if you mean me...ive said a few times now that goff was bad. in fact goff himself said he was bad. im not defending his play in the superbowl. however focusing only on highlights or in this case lowlights is problematic for obvious reasons. so what gets tiresome for me is for the same posters to post their same criticism time and again and only after a poby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
You dont like Goff. Why keep posting the same thing? Quotespagsbacker i think he is good, and he thought Goff was terrible. "Sanchezian bad." McVay scheme not the problem, Goff was sooooo bad. i honestly can say. I see a guy that looks off defenders, pump fakes, and generally comes off his top target when needed. The great QBs do these things, Goff does as well. I hope he continues to improve and elevate his game to the next level.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
