We have one healthy RB at this point: Kelly. Someone needed to be cut. Cooper was about the only expendable left, seeing as how we are 7 deep at WR. He hasn't caught a pass since he returned and he isn't the same KO returner he was last year. Fielding the ball in the end zone will net us better field position than a Cooper return. They obviously preferred JoJo on PR duty. Meanwhile wby 3030 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotedodgerram Rams also have to open up the field a little more again.Have to stretch the field with Cooks more. He has not been targeted enough on fly patterns. But that also can be attached to the play of the o-line. Goff needs a bit more time to step up and go deep. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's been pretty well established that the successful defenses are taking away the deep patterns, whby 3030 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteDeadpool Reynolds - I don't care what you want to say about Cooks, but he has never been a redzone threat. He won't win a jump ball and his speed is nullified inside the 20 yard line. Woods is great and a tough SoB, but again not the best redzone threat. So with Kupp out, the "biggest" redzone threat is Reynolds. like it or not. Its not ideal, and I would advocate a redzone WR iby 3030 - RamsFootballFans.com
In many ways Wade does get a pass when maybe he shouldn't. That he's the Grandpa everyone wishes they had goes a long way. He has taken two defenses to a Super Bowl, which is life-long credibility. On the other hand, does he have any surprises left? Aren't there miles and miles of film of his defenses to study? My feeling is thus: Unlike an offense, which can do all sorts of fancy schemby 3030 - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought it looked like he took a head shot on the safety as well. As much as they are overprotecting QB's, I was surprised it wasn't called.by 3030 - RamsFootballFans.com
I was thinking about this myself. Is McVay "protecting" Gurley and trying to keep him healthy for the playoffs since he no longer has a proven backup RB?by 3030 - RamsFootballFans.com

Didn't a commentator mention a few weeks back that when we're in a must-pass situation that we can't stop the blitz.by 3030 - Game Time Forum
Pretty much. This won't be a KC win with us on our seats, and cries of "greatest game", but as long as the game ends with us 1 point ahead that's fine by me. We do need to dig deeper though.by 3030 - Game Time Forum
Turned to my wife seconds before and said "Just watch, now they're going to go long to Cooks." (She didn't care)by 3030 - Game Time Forum
If they could play the first half of a game as well as they play the second half I wouldn't be worried. As it is, the playoffs with see more shoot-outs, which tend to come down to who has the ball last.by 3030 - RamsFootballFans.com
In today's NFL I don't think you can have enough CB's. Strange as it sounds, my first move would be to replace out #3 CB (Not our slot CB). Losing Talib messed up a whole defense. Though your suggestions were on point as well. I may be alone in this, but I feel our OLB's will get better with time and I'm not as concerned about that position as many are.by 3030 - RamsFootballFans.com
I know it was self-serving and I'm sure he was obviously trying to leverage San Diego, but I'm wondering if Spanos willingly took the figurative bullet for the NFL by moving. I don't think anyone, the league, Stan or even Spanos, wanted the Raiders back in LA.by 3030 - RamsFootballFans.com
Hard to say. L.A. obviously isn't working for the Chargers. However, Stan would have to let them out of their lease agreement as well as negotiate any loans he's made which use that sublease as collateral. I'm reasonably sure he'd do this if it meant L.A. all to himself. The Owners would have to agree to forgive the multiple millions in re-location fees they are owed by the Chargers. QuoteSteve M Peters can not be a starter next year, can he?? His fifth year option is for $9 mil. A bargain if we got the player he was in KC. With what he has shown here, that would be a tough pill to swallow. I think they'll exercise it, but I wouldn't be shocked if we don't and got the comp. draft choice instead.by 3030 - RamsFootballFans.com

I think it was on Goff's rushing TD. Sure looked like he came out of his stance early, then half-hearted his blocking because he thought there would be a flag. I thought there would be one too.by 3030 - RamsFootballFans.com

The problem with having a coach who has been around as long as Wade is he doesn't have any new tricks up his sleeve. There has to be miles of tape available to study this defense. So if his players don't produce, his scheme is going to look like the defensive scheme from the 80's that it is. And unfortunately, it's a defense that wasn't designed with the new NFL passing rules in mind.by 3030 - Game Time Forum
It's gotta be a defensive back, preferably corner Joyner is possibly gone. Talib is nearing the end of career (He'll be 33 1/2 kickoff 2019.) Peters play has been somewhat baffling. Will the team pick up his option? (Yes) Hill is inconsistent and probably shouldn't be starting Shields is 30 years old and playing roulette with another concussion. Hatfield? Peterson? If I recall, the teams was required to play a certain number of international games as part of their relocation to L.A. If Mexico was part of that, and since it's cancelled, I would assume they would have to make up for it by playing one next year.by 3030 - RamsFootballFans.com
