I like the retro 50's uniform too. I think the new uniforms should incorporate the golden yellow horns of the 50's. See Norm Van Brocklin helmet. I don't like the current throwback bright neon yellow. The current throwback yellow is way too bright. It doesn't even match the yellow of the 1970's or 1980's uniforms.by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think Goff is even an NFL quality starting QB. Borderline backup. He has BUST written all over him. They may go 0-16 next year if Goff is the starting QB in 2017. That may be a blessing in disguise if they get the # 1 pick in 2018 and choose USC's Sam Darnold.by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't see what they saw in Goff. The guy never won against good teams in college. He doesn't command the huddle very well and looks like a rag doll out there getting sacked. Goff looks like a guy who is one bad hit away from retiring or getting maimed. He basically looks like Apollo Creed taking hits from Drago.....lol. He is no Joe Montana. Plus, Joe Montana played in an era where theby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Sean Payton would be the only coach that could repair the Rams offense. He will get rid of players he thinks are slacking and not giving their all. He coached Marshall Faulk in college and will know if Gurley is the answer at RB. I don't think he will waste time on Gurley if his knee, lack of preparation and ego are the problem. He won't let Todd Gurley become a prima donna. Iby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
I recall in today's game that Gurley gets pulled down from behind by his jersey. The 2015 Gurley would break free or avoid those types of tackles. You can't keep blaming the offensive line..... some of it is on Gurley. He just doesn't break tackles or avoid them like he did in 2015. It's like he lost a few steps and can't keep his balance. Gets tackled way too easy now. He looks like an outby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
Is that ACL injury effecting his speed and balance? It's like his legs strength is not there and could not keep his balance on runs all year. No burst at all on any of his runs. I find it funny no reporters has asked him if his knee still bothers him or effecting his play this year. He is not the same player that busted big runs against the 49ers and Green Bay on 2015. Something is wrong wby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
Let Sean Mannion play the 4th qtr. I want to see what he can do.by Al45 - Game Time Forum
16? Goff sucks. He has got to be the worse QB in the NFL. Cody Kessler has more game. Just give me Donald and Hekker.by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
Goff goes 12 for 24 for 75 yards, no TD, 2 interceptions including a pick 6. Goff pulled early in the 3rd qtr after getting sacked and suffering a concussion with Rams down 10-0. Sean Mannion finally gets into a game. Showing poise and throwing frozen ropes. Mannion goes 16 for 20 for 150 yards and 2 TD, no interceptions. Mannion leads the Rams to game winning TD in the 4th qtr.by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
I wanted the Rams to draft Wentz but they drafted the pretty boy and his noodle arm. Goff was a terrible pick. He is skinny, slow, and weak. I'm hoping they give up on him and move on soon. The Rams need to tank games either next year or the year after for Sam Darnold. Darnold is a stud.by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, padding his stats. Has Goff ever led any type of 4th qtr comeback? Did he elevate his team to wins against good quality teams? Did he make critical drive sustaining passes on 3rd downs to keep his team from falling behind further? It seems like his Cal teams were 3 and out against quality competition and falling behind. He was then asked to throw a bunch of passes to try to mount faileby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
If Goff doesn't improve next year and looks just as bad. Throwing bad passes, fumbling and stumbling around. Not able to complete critical 3rd down passes. How long will it take to know he is a sure BUST? Do the Rams sticks with a guy who obviously doesn't have the "it" factor for 3 or 5 years like they did with Sam Bradford? If the Rams get the #1 pick of the 2018 draft.... wby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
Was Goff really good in college? He was padding his stats against the weak teams from division I-AA schools. In addition, he never was able to lead his team to victories against better Pac-10 teams like USC, UCLA or Stanford and padded his stats after the game was already a blow out.by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
maybe the material of the college ball was tackier easier to grip while the NFL ball is more slippery. Tom Brady might have smaller hands like Goff since he needed to deflate the NFL ball a bit to get a better grip on the ball. Maybe those small hands that Goff has is playing a part in those wobbly passes. Russell Wilson has huge hands and most of his throws are tight spirals.by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
o.k. but at least Kurt wounded ducks were accurate. Goff's passes are all over the place. either in the ground short or over thrown like in the interception.by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
What is wrong with Goff's grip and throwing motion that would cause him to throw that wounded duck against the 49ers last week. None of his college videos showed him throwing wounded ducks like he has done in the pros. See the video below at the 48 second mark. Any opinions about this ugly throw? Even Austin Davis could have thrown a tighter spiral. Man, Vince Ferragamo, Jim Everett andby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
Is anyone else concerned that Goff's throws have been less than accurate and more than 50% of his passes are short or over thrown wobbly ducks? I watched that last pass he threw on Saturday that got intercepted and it looked like a bad high school QB with small hands threw it. Even though Quick ran a sloppy route. That pass looked horrible. Is he gripping the ball differently in the pros?by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
Who of the 3 coaches has an offensive mind that will play to Goff's strengths and will be flexible enough to adapt their offense to Goff's strengths? Any opinions? 1. Kyle Shanahan, Falcons offensive coordinator 2. Josh McDaniels, Patriots offensive coordinator 3. Darrell Bevell, Seahawks offensive coordinatorby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
He has had 14 games to get back into shape. Even with no blocking he should be able to shed a few tacklers once in a while. He looks weak....the offensive line is his excuse this year....but he hasn't out run anybody this year. Remember how explosive he was against the 49ers, Packers and Cardinals. Once he got through to the linebackers...he was gone. This year....he is getting caught frby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
What do you guys think is wrong with Gurley this year? He is just not running with that explosiveness that he had last year. Is something wrong with that knee? Wasn't he injured for the last couple of games last year. He is running high and can't turn the corner with the same explosiveness he had last year. He just looks sluggish. Basically tip toeing around like Steven Jackson used toby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
Havenstein, Barnes and Donal were like turnstiles against Atlanta. Goff constantly had defensive linemen on his back or in his face today.by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
Is there any hope for the Rams offensive line? They can't run block or pass block. Goff and Gurley are gettting killed out there. Who is even worth keeping on the offensive line? The Rams need guys with a nasty attitude willing to maul the other teams line. Watching hard knocks on HBO you can tell this group was soft and don't take their job seriously. Bunch of undisciplined slackers.by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
I will admit that Goff is tough. He has taken some big hits out there but he is looking like a rag doll out there a few times today. I'm afraid by looking at the guy that he will eventually going to realize the speed and violence of the pro game is not for someone with his slight build and small hands. He is having difficult time taking hits and keeping the ball from fumbling out of his handsby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
I wonder if Mike Martz would consider coming out of retirement to become head coach again? Any opinions?by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
I guess all those years of not having a team.... L.A. residents grew up rooting for other teams or there must be alot of transplants from other parts of the country. Can't imagine what it would be like if the Rams played the Oakland Raiders in the coliseum this year.....It would be embarrassing... Raiders fans would probably out number the Rams fans.... Didn't the Rams beat the Raiders and feby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think I heard the dolphin fans chant "defense" pretty loud in the game. Must be alot of Miami transplants in L.A.by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
Remember when John Robinson changed the offense from a running offense with Eric Dickerson to a passing one with Jim Everett? He hired Ernie Zampese to install the Air Coryell passing system. We need the same type of offensive make over with a pass first type of coach. Gurley has shown that he is not the 2nd coming of Eric Dickerson. Who will replace Boras?by Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
We need a new aggressive offensive coach and coordinator. Someone that has the same mentality as former coach Mike Martz had....someone who realizes you can never score enough points. Martz had the offense humming...the passing game was a well oiled machine with both great route running, timing and receivers with great hands.... Bruce, Holt, Hakim and Proehl regularly catching passes for 15 yardby Al45 - RamsFootballFans.com
What do you guys think of the early 1960's Rams classic yellow orange horn color? It's a sharp looking shade of yellow orange. I like it better than the current throwbacks that sport that neon 1980's bright yellow. Maybe the Rams can incorporate the early 1960's yellow/orange horns into their future redesign of their uniforms....no more ugly metallic gold and neon yellow of the 1980's.
