I know this is blasphemy before the game is played, but if we lose to the Pats tomorrow or at some point with a couple more losses, if we have to accept we are not going to go 5-2 the rest of the way out, we may want to take a look at Garoppolo and the possibility that with the way Stafford restructured this year, and removed any future guaranteed money (I think $5M still), to see what we have wiby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteramBRO I'm not expecting much from him except for maybe being a morale booster for the team. We have to remember that he was banged up for much of last season and was pretty much factorless. Dare I say it...he was playing as though he was on his last legs (no pun intended). I hope that he can finish his career on a strong note, though (or, at least, on his own terms). Also, we mostlby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteShecky Here we are. It's $5 to win $111.40. Had like a 30% boost. I'll send you a beer if I win and we can cheers. Nice. Good luck! Go Rams!by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sorry 68, That would require McVay to run something other than 11 personnel. Everybody just put your little ideas from your couch back under your pillow and let McVay, the boy genius, run his offense. Also, Rozeboom is good now. No more talk about Speights.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
I would bet also just to do the same, but I'm hoping you are right. Can't bet against my team. Just my gut feeling and distrust of McVay and this offense right now. But please show me the slip when you win. 👍by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteShecky Rams -4.5 Over 43 Kyren anytime TD Matthew 2+ TD passes Kupp over 100 receiving yd I don't see us waking up on offense, no momentum. Would have to magically start clicking tomorrow. If I had to bet: Pats +the points Under 43 Yes on Kyren 2 or more TD's? I'd just stay away from that one. And definitely Kupp <100. Maybe Nacua 100+ But hope you are right.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLesBaker Plus they are on the road..........and just lost at home to a 2-6 team. This is a toss up game. The Rams according to the betting lines are -4.5 and while that is encouraging I've little faith in McVay lately. He's great at hindsight which isn't a characteristic that wows me. Two bad teams that are not well coached can go either way. I'm hoping that the Rams can take advanby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree with shotgun and spread 4 wide looks. We have guys that can get open. But not if you crowd everyone up near the LOS.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- always has been, always will be.... like most teams, the Rams offense moves the ball well when the guys up front do their jobs this has 10% to do with play calling, 90% execution The Rams plugged in 3 new starters on the OL who havent played or practiced since week one....the results were glaring. We should expect some better results as they get acclimated. As youby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotedroopy It seems like our current TEs only catch 5 yard passes. Most of our plays are 5 yard passes, if that.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteoldschoolramfan Rams are currently at 4-5.....They just went on a 3-1 stretch to get them to this point. With 8 games left in the season, can they go on two more 3-1 winning streaks to get to 10-7? Let's see..... Win....Patriots, Saints, SF, Jets, Arizona (This is a must win) and Seattle. Loss.....Philly, Buffalo. Swap out any win with any loss....But Rams need to beat Arizona (Hby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
It's not looking good, but I will say, I will take the win over Minnesota and the loss to Miami over the opposite. We got an NFC win and an AFC loss. When I was modeling getting back to .500 back when we were sitting at 1-4, it was loss to Minnesota win over Miami and New England. We are still at that trend, beat the Patriots, we are 5-5. Somehow we will have to find our stride and someby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
I got an idea, how about hand the play sheet to LaFluer permanently? And go get some receivers with some speed. Julian Edelman was a great blankey for Tom Brady. But they also had Gronk and Randy Moss. You can't have 3 Julian Edelman's. You need some diversity. All our receivers are slow and are molded after Kupp.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Why even listen to a McVay presser?by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, we have to try something. We average about 18-20 points per game on offense. Which is basically on the Jeff Fisher/Andy Dalton line.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- I’m not gonna even look at that season as any sort of indication of McVay’s true record. Considering the unmitigated disaster of that injury plagued season. He is still considered one of the best coaches in the NFL and if every GM was being honest, probably 25 or more would trade their guy for him in a heartbeat He is far from perfect, but I wouldn’t trade him for any of thby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote3030 You make a good argument. McVay loves to run play action and that's difficult if you don't have a legitimate running game. So then you adjust. You evolve. You don't run 11 personnel to the ground. Reinvent yourself. Not our guy McVay. He's gonna dig in and double down on his strategy. He was a boy genius, but as a man, maybe just a smart guy.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
I would argue the FG, down by 11 from the 4 yard line. You are going to need a TD and a 2 point conversion to tie. 2 point conversion is from the 2. Why would you not go for 6 from the 4 and then even go for 2, could make it a 3 point game. That was the dumb play call.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Tired of sending Puka deep. He is slow and covered on those. McVay has a serious problem of falling in love with his star players. Both issues discusses on this thread are the problem. The O'line is not giving Stafford time to throw. (And yes, McVay probably put in his named players over their backups who have been gelling). But also, we lack speed and we lack a deep threat.
