The story they decided to sell in pre-production meetings. The Rams are the young, up and comers with the young featured "franchise QB." The 49ers are trying to get by for a while until they get that franchise QB. It fits the standard NFL marketing template. They're all on the same page. You'll hear the same narrative repeated through the game itself too, as long as the game goes sby 9er8er - RamsFootballFans.com
Like so many others under the debacle that was the Fisher regime. I was disappointed when Wade came in and committed to both Tree and Barron on the inside. On the other hand, what else does he have to replace them with there? Nothing. And that's the real problem. Been saying it for a long time. Keep saying it. This thing was a total mess. They can't fix it all in one season. And I dby 9er8er - RamsFootballFans.com

Quoteif you pick lower in the draft and want a franchise qb, the only way you get the one you want in the first round is to trade up for him. Nope, no you don't. Wasn't true for the Rams last time they had a franchise QB. Wasn't true for the Patriots and their franchise QB. Not true for the Cowboys franchise QB that they got in the same Goff draft. Wasn't true of the team's franchise Qby 9er8er - RamsFootballFans.com
In fact, you have to wonder if at this point they're not starting to think about giving the rookie, Beathard, a shot and benching Hoyer. They won't do that on a short week, but that's how bad it's been. This is a big game for Goff. First road game this year AND it's a homecoming for him. First time playing back in the Bay Area as a pro. Plus, you have the short week. How he handles all thby 9er8er - RamsFootballFans.com
Not the Bears. Last week was a classic trap game. And I don't think the Bears "should have beat them." But they Bears certainly were close last week. Anywho, doesn't look like the Falcons are exactly missing Shany right now, nor the 49ers' O benefiting from his genius, does it? :wink2by 9er8er - RamsFootballFans.com
That's why they mortgaged the farm to get him, after all, isn't it? We should also be guard against keeping expectations too low for a QB that was the first overall pick and costs a bunch of additional premium picks to boot. He's supposed to be capable of more and sooner than your typical prospect. It really highlights the problem with investing so much in a project like Goff at the mostby 9er8er - RamsFootballFans.com
The way I'd put it is we don't have good reason to believe they're not about where they should be at this point. Assuming where they should be is on a positive track. We still need to see a lot more before we can definitively say they are on the right track. And that includes Goff. But so far, at least, I'm not seeing anything that's telling me it's not going to happen. And, so far at leby 9er8er - RamsFootballFans.com
And the Colts game only served to exacerbate that. I'll say it again, but you have the youngest, most inexperienced Head Coach in NFL history inheriting a s___show. It was never reasonable to believe that was all getting fixed right away. So far, best I can tell, it's about where you could reasonably expect on the positive side. Plenty of imperfections, but the fight and determination aby 9er8er - RamsFootballFans.com
But as you know, it's one of the most dangerous throws a QB can make. I think they are still mostly on the lower degree of difficulty stuff with him, focusing on the kind of routes and combinations he likes, which are similar to the things he did at Cal. That's mostly inside slants and go's where if mistakes are made, they don't tend to end up in 7 the other way.by 9er8er - RamsFootballFans.com
So awesome they could afford to expend a borderline starting quality CB as part of the Wilkins deal, no problemo!? Yeah, good times.by 9er8er - RamsFootballFans.com
over the previous few years. Seems pretty obvious Goff has a much better feel for and connection with the inside receivers, Kupp and the TE's. Not so much for the outside receivers, as of yet anyway.by 9er8er - RamsFootballFans.com
At least right now with all their injuries. Even if healthy they're probably an 8-8 team. The Cardinals are also a bad team right now, in part because of injuries and in part because Palmer and Fitz are looking REALLY old. The difference between an eastern team playing in LA and a western team playing in Indy should also not be overlooked. Always tough for a western team to play the earby 9er8er - RamsFootballFans.com

They were dreadful in the first half. They at least tightened up in the second half. Ended up allowing 7 second half points. They especially shut down the inside running game much better in the second half, which absolutely killed them in the first half. Offense needed to contribute more than it did, especially with the Punter getting them an extra possession and field position. Notby 9er8er - Game Time Forum
Though again, they're lucky to be able to say that. Still, far better in the second half than first half. Offense needed to put up more than 10 in the second half. If they lose, won't be all on the D.by 9er8er - Game Time Forum
