Quoteoldschoolramfan Defense already knows that it's a pass. I know......I played corner in HS and College.....You get a better backpeddle, a deeper drop in 7 on 7.....It's a pass. Put the pads on.......Then.... Give me play action to Gurley, then run him through the line, then hit him in the flats......Well, that's a whole different story. OTA's are like the NFL Combine.......The &quby max - RamsFootballFans.com
Curley is a sports reporter who has been at many OTAs over the past 2 years. He also attends all the McVay pressers and is one of the better reporters who posts what is said in detail. He’s been more active than just about any reporter. He does this podcast with Jake, a young prolific freelance Rams reporter. He said it’s unfair to Goff to have everyone believe he looks great when he’s hasn’t.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteoldschoolramfan I am not worried one bit about Goff during OTA's, or this season........He's going to be better than last season and so is this Offense. In fact, I "EXPECT" more tipped and batted down balls during OTA's.....We have a "GREAT DEFENSE" remember. Plus, our CB's are TOP SHELF CB's. I remember in College, We had some pretty good WR's. Just listened to him talk about Goff in OTAs. He said Goff hasn’t looked very good. Lots of picks and batted balls. He said Goff has been incorrectly portrayed in social media by other sources. Made it sound like disingenuous hype. He did say that Goff looked really good on Monday so he felt comfortable letting the cat out of the bag now. Quoteleafnose a spectacular review one area that I'll certainly miss Sammy Watkins is blocking. If there's an opening for a guy on the field to be that player from this group, it might be Josh. Cooks isn't the largest body, and at some point to mix it up, and give an edge to #30 running the ball, perhaps Reynolds gets out there in 4 receiver sets just for that. thats true about the blockby max - RamsFootballFans.com

Waldman is about as good as it gets at evaluating WRs in the draft. I'd put my money on him and expect big things from JR going forward. Here's link to post on Reynolds eval by Waldman. An interesting comparison that he makes is Marvin Jones.by max - RamsFootballFans.com

@LARamsFanZone: A bunch of great insights from meeting with @RamsNFL Demoff. Thanks for sharing! Lots of good stuff in that tweet thread.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
Someone can probably dig this up from a day or 2 ago. Reportedly Demoff said recently that last year there were a few things holding Donald back from signing. The losing record, he was tired of being on a losing team, the new coach, he had no idea if McVay was any good, and money. Demoff said now the only thing holding things up is the money. The belief is the Rams are ok with Donald not beby max - RamsFootballFans.com

Watched his tape, he’s a slow twitched plodder. He tries hard, and plays smart, got some strength. I’ll be shocked if he can get to the QB.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
We should not lose sight of the fact that McVay was a 31 year old rookie HC. He is bound to take a big step up this year. There were plenty of mistakes that he should be expected to correct this year.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
But I expect that to change this year, as I explained in post above.by max - RamsFootballFans.com

That a DT is more valuable than a CB Bill Parcells said it many years ago. The further you get from the ball the less valuable you are to a defense. Parcells place a huge premium on a great DT.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn Yes it was luck that Wade was available. Just trying to understand this. It was luck that Wade was available but McVay wasn't lucky to get him. So the first luck cancels out the second luck. Is that right? :confusedby max - RamsFootballFans.com

Disagreeing with what speed said means you’re saying Fisher wasn’t a problem at all. Ok. That I understand. And I completely disagree with you. QuoteSpeed_Kills Last year this time in OTAs - we did not hear these kinds of things about Goff. When either McVay or for that matter McVay talked about Goff they were very cautious offered little praise at all. No one was talking about Goff throwing dimes and being in command. I only started this thread cause I was amused when I found an old tweet in my Twitter feed saying draft Goff. It actually stemmed from an argument I got into with some media guy at the Beast station in LA. It was pretty freaky how it turned out. As far as Wentz is concerned, he was clearly the better QB last year, but I believe it’s questionable that he will be able to be the same type of QBby max - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBumRap him as the #1 QB before we traded. Could not be happier. My son pointed him out to me because I had heard somethings about him. The things he excelled at in college were NFL level IMO.
