Quotealyoshamucci No that was the official time ... hand times mostly had him between 4.39 and 4.43. His ten split was also off by a lot. There were official complaints about some of the official times. His was one example. My eyeballs on his tape had him at 4.45. Excellent. Great speed for a big man.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotealyoshamucci That's where he ran the 4.52 (and there is an argument on whether or not that's an accurate time as hand times were faster by a lot). So you're saying the 4.52 was hand timed and he may be slower than that?by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com

I agree with that. And we shall see how this draft turns out, but I haven't felt this good about a Rams draft in many years.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsdude QuoteJYB Seems most of these grades measure players taken vs. where they were projected to go. The sheer number of players the rams got doesn't seem to get factored into the grade. It's a waste of time to "grade" or "rank" anyone before they even played a single snap in the NFL and even then it can take 2-3 years before you can accurately "judge" anytby JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
QuotemerlinChalk all that up as it pertains to Bruss and what you have is a situation where he will either show year two and win that job or he's probably a bust. It's start or bust for Bruss. Because guards don't need multiple years to translate in this league. Taking a rookie redshirt, ok fine. Not ideal but it happens. But by year two he's either gonna be good enough or he isn't. I think Belichick will be back. It was Belichick -- not Brady -- who won the two SBs against the Rams. It was Belichick who stifled a red hot Buffalo Bills' offense and allowed a backup QB to steal a SB for the Giants in '91. Belichick is horrible at public relations, and his offenses sans Brady have been pretty pedestrian. But there's nobody I'd rather have overseeing a defense. QuoteRamsdude He surely wasn't going to say anything negative, was he? lol True, but he didn't HAVE to say "I kinda like it." He could've just said that "the new guys will have to step up" or some other cliches and left it at that. I get the sense he actually does feel that way.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamgator In that 86, the Offense was pretty poor....for both teams that night. But THE big play was what exposed the 46 Defense.....Dills bomb to Ron Brown for the long TD. That was all that was needed to beat the 46.....Drop back and let it fly. The Bears brought so many guys to kill the QB, it left their DBs on an island. The Dolphins exposed it in 85 and won. People have told me..... Wellby JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
QuotepromomasterjWhy on earth does this 'author' compare him to Gurley? RB is the one position with, probably the shortest career window. I don't think the author is comparing the injuries themselves, but rather that we can't trust what McVay says about injuries.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com
I'd give an honorable mention to Bruce's TD vs Vikes in 99 playoffs on the first offensive play. That play introduced the nation to the GSOT for the first time. Rams had not been on a national game up to then, the Vikes were considered a very hot team looking to avenge the NFCC collapse from the year before and people had been questioning the Rams' legitimacy because of a soft schedule. Don't be TOO impressed -- that is one of my all time favorite Ram games, if not THE top game, starting with Bruce's TD on the first play. I've seen that game so many, many times. A friend called me after Faulk's first score to say he'd never seen anything like that offense.by JYB - RamsFootballFans.com

Loved that Ram secondary -- Green, Irvin, Johnnie Johnson, Vince Newsome, etc. I recall Danny White saying at some point during the 1985 season -- after playing both the Bears and the Rams -- that the Rams had the better secondary. QuoteThirtymac, The Intrepid Ram If I recall correctly, the migration from the Post-Dispatch board was attributable, at least in part, to changes they made to the board - which were poorly regarded - and the astonishingly arrogant attitude of the PD employee responsible for the changes.
