The 100 section behind the visiting team... those season ticket holders sold out to visitors in recent years. No argument there. Upper bowls, and behind the home team... they do not look like Sofi when Niners are there. Have to remember what the starting point is. The starting point in all of these articles was that Lumen Field used to be severe home field advantage. Lumen losing 30% tby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBerendsenRam Watching an NFC West Roundtable of Podcasters the longtime seabag fan and Podcaster said the passion of their fans don't seem like it was before when it was the Legion of Boom now it's the Legion of Gloom lol! GO RAMS! The sad thing is that the passion of Seahawks fans at the lowest per capita is still much greater than the passion of Rams fans. I can't comment on landmines as teams will develop/change over time as the season goes on. Ones we expect to be good, may not be... and those we think are doormats may not be. Injuries can play a huge part. If Jalen, Lamar, any key QBs get injured early... good to play those teams early. Nobody knows. What looks appealing is that there is low chance that any of these games will be played inby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
It's all hit or miss, just don't want to miss much especially in the upper rounds. Can go the other way and say that Bucky Irving probably fit the Rams better in the mid rounds. Multiple threat player, can catch out of the backfield, do ST returns. Maybe argue who is shortest RB. But Rams took Corum in the 3rd round. It all Monday Night Quarterbacking.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
It's more about a QB that can extend the play. NFL is moving towards that anyway. Mahomes, Jackson, Allen, Hurts etc... Non mobile QBs like Stafford and Goff are oddities in the NFL now.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
These stats guys don't traditionally do well in the NFL. No one is hiding a player. Many teams know Dolac. This is one where fans tend to over pivot on stats without even seeing the player in person. History against these types of players is strong. It's just up to this particular individual to break the pattern and do well. But it's not normal.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
The "in person" view of the athlete is very valuable for scouts vs stats. If you look at the top Tackler in NCAA every year, it's not someone who is drafted in day 1 or day 2 and it isn't someone that starts or even makes the squad for a long period of time. In the past decade, this has been true. 2017 or 2018.. Ben Burr Kirven was the leading tackler in the nation. I think he wby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
heh yeah... if all people watch are highlight reels, then every player in college should be starting in the NFL. Highlight reels and pre-season games where a mediocre player looks like an all NFL guy to a casual fan.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Will see about Paul Jr. He certainly has impressive highlight reels, but in watching full Arkansas and Ole Miss games he has much more to learn and grow. Omar looked better/bigger when I saw him at Oregon State. Paul Jr looks undersized and definitely played that way at Arkansas. Tackles very high and somehow despite his size and frame actually is successful with his high tackling. Has toby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
I have a different preference for a TE than Rams FO. Rams FO like the Skill based TE. I'm more of the kind that likes the bulldozer TE. Ferguson fits the "skill based" TE mold. Some fans will like it, some fans won't. Case in point.. Colby is a "skill based" TE... and he's on the extreme side of "hates contact". Will use up his momentum to try to juke a corby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
There are 2 edges in the draft that I thought should have gone higher. Burch from Oregon and Stewart. Some Edge picks, especially in the 2nd round, I thought were projects. Burch has the frame and was productive, maybe his knee scared people away. Stewart, it's the size. 2 inches taller and he's a 1st rounder. Spent a lot of time looking at Mason Graham this year, but this Stewartby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Well there's Skattebo but he's too tall.. he's like 5'10 or so.. Rams want a monopoly on 5'8" RBs so that would be like the Tennessee guy.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
To me that's more like Savion Williams. Like this kid better because he is more versatile. Has some juke for his size. Hands not as good though. Ayomanor is interesting.. has that long stride but he doesn't sustain speed. It's like he looks slow in the first 10, catches the slant, has long strides for the next 20 to breakaway and then just dies after that. We see it every year, with the exception of Bobby Wagner year. Some folks just need to be reminded of how the Rams operate. If Fred Warner was a FA and took a 50% paycut, Rams would say yes and break their mold. But: Fred Warner would not take a 50% paycut until he's like 10 years older And every other team in the league would be in the hunt for him at that price. Rozeboom's cap is 2.5M a year Reeder about 1M Landman will probably be around 1M Seems right to me. Rams are not going to do a 10M cap hit a year to get someone like Greenlaw. And probably not a 1st rounder to end up with like a 4M cap hit a year.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
The last thing that Baldinger said.... "he finds the football" is one thing that stood out for me in watching in last year. Not bad as he's only played the position for 1 year which is why his recognition tends to not be good. But with more experience, there's upside. My thoughts pre combine was: Day 3 pick probably, Special Teams player to start in my mind. Has to learn the ILby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Some points are correct, but yes it was way over the top. Landman and Speights aren't going to see the Field for 100% of defensive plays. One of them will be around 30% of the snap counts. 5-2 you will see them and defense will be setup against the run. Passing downs, you won't see both of them in. It's going to be the tweener yardage like 3rd and 3 where offense can go pass or runby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
makes sense... I forgot they replaced Grubb. Was questioning why Kupp would go to a Grubb offense as that won't highlight his skill sets. Kubiak makes more sense for him.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree... I'm only reacting to only focusing on PFF Grades and then thinking that because he is #12 in PFF that he is way better. He is depth, but people shouldn't think that he's improved so much that he's going to be worldly different from current Rams OL. In terms of cost value.. Shelton certainly did not pass the eye test for me playing for the Bears. Remember he's a 7 year vet making the same mistakes. Body is developed out, less room for growth. Limmer has more growth and more experience to gain. Shelton has hit his ceiling. He is what he is. His run blocking, especially at the second level is not something to train other lineman on. It is so bad that thby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Shelton has poorer recognition on the second level. He is very tunnel visioned. I don't see this as an upgrade so much. He was getting blown up last year like he did with the Rams. If people are going blame Limmer or a recognition issue... people will be tearing their hair out when they see all the recognition issues Shelton had last year on the Bears. Many RAMS fans ignore PFF grades, saying that their own eyes are better than PFF when they measure RAMS players. Don't see why Shelton gets a pass just looking at PFF grades alone. So I will do that with Shelton and go by "my eyes": PFF grades for Centers aren't that reliable. Watching Shelton on the Bears, I see an undersized Center who gets overpowered against elite DTs. Yep, saw him at Texas. Size was the issue, not heart/ability. He plays in spurts, won't overpower. Doesn't have a second move after his initial burst, but that's okay because he plays within his limits. If he is stuffed, he holds his lane vs trying to win that 1:1 and get out of the lane. Good role player, team concept player. Like this pickup, need more depth in the interior which makesby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Can also hint he is looking for versatility at QB. With the way Edges are crashing into pocket passers, the NFL trend is moving to more mobile QBs. Doesn't have to be a speed burning QB, but someone that has some threat in keeping the ball. Opens up more opportunities in the running game so the edge doesn't crash to the RB all the time at mesh. Then can get some yardage gain in a blown upby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
On the 1st Barkley run, Eagles took advantage of the under front alignment. I don't think you solely put this on Rozeboom. I question the alignment especially with the safety engaging the center so close to the line unless he's supposed to free up a looping DT. Otherwise, he should be slanting to the strong A gap. What you see is Rozeboom needing to cover 2 gaps on a 3 OL vs 1 LB and 2 secondby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Glad you have the All 22 views, can see more. On the Last long TD by Barkley.. the TV angle looks like it's more Verse losing containment. He floated to the gap that Rozeboom was covering. So you basically had 2 Rams in a single gap. Also credit to the Philly play calling. The previous runs, they were running away from Verse.. making him chase from the backside. If you are comparing Reeder and Rozeboom.. then you might as well insert many other ILBs to replace them. At least with them, you know you are going to get effort. With Ernest, who knows what Jones will show up in the game. Then, pair him with Speights and you've got 2 guys that can't cover.
