Quotemerlin They don't have a QB. This FA period doesn't really have a QB outside of Romo, who is too smart to choose to be abused in Cleveland for his last job. The draft is very weak at the position, and anyone they do draft is going to take a couple years. So they need a bridge QB who gives them a chance and also won't require overpayment. Only way for them to solve their issues is tradeby Flipper336 - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotemerlin Both McCarron and Garoppolo, to me at least, are only good as bridge type QB options. Which is why if I am the Browns I would not be willing to give up 2 first round picks to get Jimmy G. And it's why I'd be after a guy like McCarron. Looking around the league right now and seeing what looks like a soon-to-be $14M signing of Glennon by the Bears, it's about affordability too in tby Flipper336 - RamsFootballFans.com

That's a shocking number. His 3-cone was also bad at 7.0 and his shuttle was worse, 4.32. Shuttle time that close to his 40 reads like a straight line athlete that will struggle changing gears and accelerating out of breaks. Games are the key, but this backs up my concerns with him and his scheme limits. He will be best messing up route timing with his press against bigger WRs. Quotemerlin Pats want 2 first round picks reportedly for Garoppolo, that's too much for a guy who to my mind at least is not a sure thing as a starter. McCarron isn't either, but he knows Hue's offense and could step right in. I'm sure they'd have to pay more since it's a division rival, but I'd float an offer of this year's round 2 pick and see if they bite. Quotestlramz Great work man. Your passion comes through in your evaluations. I really focused on players I liked quickly in the evaluation process this year. I started it last year, instead of building a complete "Big Board" I'm just focused on the guys that stand out for me. Also focused on finding the hidden gems/values. Those are the guys I have the most fun with.by Flipper336 - RamsFootballFans.com
Just said it's what I would do. I'd rather try to get as many top players as possible. I don't like the idea of drafting a player at a stacked position (like CB ) early unless it's a rare/special talent, and then leave myself in a position where I'm basically sure I'll miss out on a top player at another position (like EDGE) because I panicked early.by Flipper336 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteDeadpool My thought was the most value in the 2nd round would be at the CB spot, but now with the CBs and TEs blowing up the combine the best value may be elsewhere and with the amount of depth at CB, the best round to get a CB would be round 3 or 4. I talk to a ton of Eagles fans. They pick in the middle of the first and want a CB desperately. I have been telling them to pray Lattimore drby Flipper336 - RamsFootballFans.com
2. EDGE - Derek Rivers, Youngstown State Height - 6' 4" Weight - 248 lbs Length was just ok. 4.61 forty is a big plus. Stood out explosively with 35" vert and 123" broad. Freaky 3-Cone at 6.94s. 30 reps on the bench. Overall- No surprise here. I think he's a Top 25 grade and he tested like it. Quotealyoshamucci So, I just don't know that I've seen a position group this good, even looking back in hindsight. I came in wanting to shake out the top 10 CBs ... and it honestly ended up making the entire top 20 more muddled than ever. QuoteDeadpool there are plenty of good Bama football players, I was just citing one that is Hall of Famer. I still think there is something to my theory though. It really is a testament to how good a HC Saban is. Not a dis on the players. For most All-Pro/HOFer = hit. QuoteRamJr Just because a player played primarily in the slot doesn't mean that he's limited to the slot. You have to account for the talent he had at QB while playing at EWU. It would be a waste of his talent to play him on the outside where the talent throwing to him is limited. QuoteRam49 What is your take on him? Late bloomer...... I'll steal from those "Hansen is a sneaky explosive WR.
