Great clip. Excellent coverage. QB accuracy wins. That's why QB is by far the most important position on the field. If a defense forces a QB to be execute at that level consistently they will be a great defense.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
The hard/fun part of trying to determine coverages is not just the base scheme--Cover 2, Cover 4, Cover 6, 2man, etc, but also the specific rules the dbs play by. The rules are the really fun part to me. You take the possible route combinations and determine the best way to play them by position. Rules like, boundary corners follow their man everywhere even in a zone, or slot corners passing oby rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
I tend to think this is the answer--the player type. The Rams have players so experienced they likely coach themselves. If I am a young coach trying to make a big impact with ideas I think are powerful, I would probably be after players that are more impressionable. With the Rams, McVay is driving and has Stafford and Kupp as his co-pilots. Great learning experience but I imagine input anby rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Miami a couple years ago with Goff. Pro QB that couldn't beat cover 0. I was officially done with Goff that day. One the most pathetic offensive and QB performances I have ever seen.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn't read the article, but versus the Bills and Whiners both the first halves felt like we were barely staying in the game. Both games we were outplayed in the first half and then the bottom fell out in the second half. When I see 'fall apart in second halves..' that communicates to me big lead over your opponent or outplaying your opponent and then that flips in the second half. He was awesome. I live in the Seattle area and he had a morning show on the weekends. He was a solid dude. Respect. RIP. Sad. Thanks for sharing the news.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com

This is on Rodgers. FFS when you only throw the ball to one guy. And after the first drive that one guy is constantly doubled wtf do you expect? Rodgers had so many one on ones w his other WRs. Got to make them great too boss. Rodgers is a fraud. And I used to love that guy,by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
He was the lb we lost to the Panthers practice squad. He stopped the Titans 2pt conversion in the 2nd quarter. Cool to see him getting in there and making plays.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com

I think Brian Allen is the most interesting. He is very impressive executing the reach blocks this team so desperately needs out of their centers. No way do I pay him 10+ mil, but I think a 5-8 mil per range would be something to strongly consider. OBJ and Von is going to come down to dollars or culture. Darius is the one I most want to keep but this is his first chance to get paid and teaby rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com

Wow. Results oriented much. Did you watch the game?by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
2nd int he slipped. The 3rd the wr fell down. He should have had a 4th that was dropped. Regardless, I take him all day everyday over Crapolo. Baker is limited. He doesn't have the arm talent, his size affects his vision but he plays fairly smart. Baker takes risks but I'm ok with that. Put him on the whiners and they are alot better than they are now.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Very impressive with those impossible reach blocks. Respect player. Show out.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't know. Was speaking generically. That would be how I would work out which decision to make in my head if I was the coach.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
If the expected chance to win in overtime exceeds the chance to convert the 2pointer than going for the 2 point conversion was definitely the wrong play. I'm a poker player so I think of all my life decisions in terms of expected value. Which option among my available choices maximizes my value basically. I'm not sure how they calculated the chance to convert or chance to win in overtime.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Results oriented... Have you calculated their expected chance of winning in overtime and compared that to the expected chance of converting the 2 point conversion? I always wonder why analytics gets such an emotional response from people...by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com

Ya, I feel you . Back when Martz would go empty I called the no back formation the instant sack formation. But I have come around to it. Think it is really good with the offensive personnel we have now. McVay even had Sony chip the edge rushers a bit. Sony is a terrific pass blocker btw.by rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
Ya, Goff was a disaster in empty. Slow release, inaccurate, frequently seemed to just freeze. The Miami game is etched in my brain...that was so painful watching goff attempt to be a qb in that game. Empty for Stafford and other elite Qbs is a way to force defenses to show their hand. More importantly there are not that many variations of coverage versus empty that a defense can employ--especiby rampage666 - RamsFootballFans.com
