I think all three phases are improved. Offense added more weapons and we drafted a much needed Kicker to upgrade the ST's . We added much needed secondary upgrades. Edge is improved with the addition of Verse. The DL lost AD, but I believe the unit as a whole is slightly better with the addition of Fiske and Davis. I really hope Hoecht puts some weight back on and will provide the DL quality deptby six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJimYoungblood53 Quotesince68 We talk about Fiske, Turner, Brown III, Johnson, etc., but what about Hoecht ? My opinion is he can backup OLBer and also can be a backup DL. And maybe play inside on passing downs I see him as having dual backup roles ... OLBer and DE/DT I wonder if McVay has thought about using Hoecht at FB in goal line situations? He played some in high school. Iby six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAlbaNY_Ram That's the 17th game. The Rams play all 4 divisions in the AFC on a rotating basis. As you have noted, it's the AFC East this year. The 17th game is always scheduled against a team from the 'opposite' AFC division (East and West are opposites, North and South are also opposite). And the specific team is the team from that division that finished in the same spot as the Ramby six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
We already play the 4 teams in the AFC East. Anyone here know why?by six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsFanSince69 IMHO that's why Darious Robinson surpassed Tutu - DR's catch radius is greater and therefore Matthew trusted him more. If MS isn't exactly on target, it's an incompletion. JMHO Yeah, Tutu is little and it's harder to complete downfield passes against taller DB's. Tutu might be fast, but a guy like Robinson definitely has the catch radius advantage.by six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotealyoshamucci He is. He has punt returner and slot specialist written all over him. He's like Renfrow but tougher. I guess we shall see. He kind of reminds me of T.J. Moe, Former WR Mizzou. Tough, great hands, but had speed limitations and is Coaching football somewhere I think.by six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotegatoramos WR is my only disappointment (loved Baker). I thought there were several good options in the first 3 rounds as Kupp & Puka both have injury histories. If the Rams stayed at 52, they could've selected Adonai Mitchell the big speedster WR from Texas. Everyone was surprised he lasted that long, maybe the Rams too. I do think the Rams were set on trading up to 39 for Fiske. Iby six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
As much as I like DeJean the 39th pick still came at a big cost. The real question is, should the Rams have stayed at 52? Adonai Mitchell was there and definitely filed a need as an outside downfield threat WR. If Fiske plays at a Pro Bowl level the next few years, I'm good with it.by six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote3030 QuoteJimYoungblood53 I just have to think he has skills that are superior to Roze, Hummel and Reeder ... I find Rozeboom to be an enigma. He's not all that good, but he makes just enough plays to justify his salary/roster spot. I feel the same way. I know this isn't saying much, but he's better than Reeder. He moves well, but he doesn't do anything that jumps out. That being saiby six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotekw13 Seems like we have the money and could have added him to the mix? Unless he wants to start? I don't think we would bench D-Rob. But if I had to guess, we didn't even reach out?? The Phins may benefit because at this point of his career he's a possession type WR. They already have burners. We need a WR to take the top off a defense.by six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
My dream is to have a suffocating run defense. Nothing irks me more than to see the front seven get manhandled. I think we are adding the right personnel.by six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteLSURAM Post draft I texted a kid that I coached that’s on Clemson’s team for his take. He said “ y’all got a steal. One of the greatest and grittiest players I have ever seen” Hope that describes his pro career as well. Exciting stuff indeed. If he turns out to be a stud we will have a formidable defensive line.by six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com

Thanks Dead! I always enjoy reading your analysis. I may have to disagree with you about Corum. He looks very shifty and elusive to me. He seems to have very nimble feet.by six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLaDoc With his size and speed I wish he could be a tight end! :/ I know he played some FB in high school. Why not?by six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Given the additions of Verse and Brennan Jackson, he almost has to return Hoecht to DL, doesn’t he? That would return Hoecht to his more natural position, right? And turn a liability into an asset? I'm sure that's the thought process of drafting those Edge players. I don't think Hoecht weighs 310 lbs anymore, so he will need to add some weight.by six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamdemic I know reality. I don't need to be taught the basics of roster management and the salary cap. What I was referring to was when the money is somewhat equal, the Rams go with known limited option instead of the unknown better upside option. When it comes to filling holes with limited salary, the draft is always a good way to go. That's why I was in favor of a ILB in last year's draftby six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm glad Fiske is a Ram, but it does seem like the cost was high. We still haven't fulfilled our "X" receiver need and Adonai Mitchell was picked at our original 52 spot. Now, if Fiske is a perennial pro bowler us giving up next years no. 2 is a steal.by six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteLMU93 I think they have approached it really well and very disciplined. As they did in 2023. Took players of value (no WTF reaches) and with traits (including intangibles and worth ethic) that really fit both scheme and culture. Other than the WR I like everyone they have picked. I am only surprised they are going to use 10 picks. Thought they would package several of the picks in the fiby six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
