Yeah, these situations get tough. On the one hand, you don't want to undermine the complete faith in the QB but on the other hand, you don't want to look like you're accepting bad play.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteHazlet Hacksaw We know Goff screwed the pooch in that game - but the defense also failed on the last two drives - both contributed greatly to the loss. Time to move on to the cards - flush this game down the toilet. The problem is, it seems disingenuous to put blame on the defense when they had a pretty good game. I think it is unfair to expect them to hold opposing teams to 5 points in thby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuotePHDram First off I dont KNOW that he will turn it around. However to deny the possibility is foolish based on history. Thats my point. In terms of 2 years ago you are contradicting yourself. You say everything is the same so he should succeed but then say that offense and that time is over. Personally I think its obvious that defenses are playing the rams different. QuoteClassicalwit I think that's valid. I'm seeing way too many quick throws out into the flat through and over outstretched arms and hands. A lot of the passes the Rams throw are not clean, meaning that there are 2-3 defenders around the pass receiver. That does seem related to play design.I think they are not clean because defenses are squatting on all of the short throws and naked boots. Theby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- Quotesix2stack He has to be the most inaccurate QB in the NFL right now. He throws high, low, 5 yards behind or in front of his receivers and has no vision or field awareness. I look for Jalen Hurts to start next week. no, he just has communication issues with his WR's :lol3I don't know what you find so amusing. The receiver and the QB clearly read the play differently. You're not looking at things in context. A 100 rating back then was more rare than it is now. And Brees was #3 in the league with his 104.7 in just his third year starting. So, he wasn't just average or inconsistent when with the Chargers and it didn't take him until year 5 or later to blossom. Even in '05, he dropped in efficiency but he was still top 10 in the league. Only 2 guys had a 100by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

Down by two scores and you pass up an easy FG to put Wentz in a high risk situation. Thats BAD coaching. Going for it on the previous drive was bad coaching too. You want momentum but the risk/reward was not on the Eagles side. The Eagles D has been doing pretty well against the Seahawks and they should have punted to force them to drive a long field and keep the score within one possession.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- Quotemoklerman Quotenapoli The talk on this board is ridiculous of Goff. Of course he's struggling cause he's inconsistent. Just chillGoff is a lot more like Bulger than Warner. Considering all the QB/HC talk around here, how culpable is Pederson in all the Eagles struggles? I haven't been overly impressed with his scheme tonight. Now he wastes a challenge/TO on what appears to be an obvious down by contact.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsDynasty A sad shell of what he was. Eagles might need Hurts in to win this game.It would be interesting to see the comparison. If Hurts came in and it up, then it would be obvious that Wentz was the issue. But their OL looks so bad and they have NO running game, it's hard to just put it on Wentz. His receivers can't get open, they drop passes and he's the leading rusher. Eagles justby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRampage2K- QuoteNewMexicoRam I trust McVay regarding QBs. I mean his job is on the line as well. If he doesn't think Goff can get it done, then Goff will be done. obviously he saw enough in 2017-2018 to know he was worth keeping....and paid him early to the tune of $134M ...that doesn't happen without McVay's direction I trust McVay and his grasp of what he wants in a QB over any postby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

That's the type of call that makes me lose confidence in the NFL. A couple of PI calls that should have gone the Eagles way don't get called but a ticky-tack illegal contact is called to bail out the Seahawks? Refs are not calling this game equally.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteBumRap My knock on Wentz was his reckless style and physicality given his injury history. He has played at and MVP level before and now its like he is punch drunk. I am going to give him 2021 to regain his form.Yes, he was at 4,000+ and 27/7 TD/INT just last year. I don't think any QB can lose 3 WR, RB, 3/5 OL, top TE and expect a whole lot on offense.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
And, the Rams gave up 16 on defense, 1 point less than NE gave up. The 49ers are averaging just under 24 ppg and the Rams held them a full TD less than that average. Maybe not the 2000 Ravens but they played pretty well overall.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
They're setting him up for failure. They put Hurtz in for a quickie, easy throw and then put Wentz back in for 3rd and long and he's got nowhere to go with the ball. So, Hurtz looks good and Wentz looks bad. No running game, bad line, receivers not helping him out...Wentz could be due for a change of scenery.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

Funny how people see things so differently. The defense wasn't elite but they were hardly to blame for the loss. Holding any NFL team to 16 points points and scoring 7 of their own should easily be good enough for a passing grade overall. That you don't see Goff as being to blame when he had 3 turnovers, a pick 6 and various poor throws suggests that your perspective may not be objective IMOby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotenicecatchellard As bad as it hurt all of us to see warner go bulger straight outplayed him. Warner looked like a shell of himself after the injury. How much consideration do you give for him losing his starting RB and top 3 WR's and LT and TE for most of the year? Do you think his numbers would still be suffering so much if they weren't so depleted? I don't know that he would fit in McVay's offense but I like his athleticism. Don't you get it, your eyes are lying to you. So are the stats. Only an enlightened seer of football can truly understand how great Goff is actually playing.
