I think starting Maeda is the right move, even though, on paper it looks like a huge disadvantage. Worst case, we have both Kershaw and Hill going on full rest with our season on the line. If we throw Kershaw today and lose, I just wouldn't want to have Maeda starting an elimination game.by sacram - Bucky's Pub
I can't fault Hernandez for calling that play out, but if he did call it safe, the call would've stood either way. I think the turning point in the game, was Toles awful throw which could've cut down their first run of the night. If that run was cut down, the game could've went differently as Urias could've remained in the game for another couple innings.by sacram - Bucky's Pub
its amazing how different you can feel about your club, 24 hours later. My fingers are crossed... BTW no matter what happens from here, what a great year the Dodgers had. Its been a fun ride....by sacram - Bucky's Pub
Kenta's given up 15 runs in his last 13 2/3 innings pitched. This matchup looks just terrible....by sacram - Bucky's Pub
now that the Dodgers are going to lose game 4, I guess my question to you would be do you go with Kershaw on 3 days rest where he has been very effective or with Maeda on 4 days rest (I guess he got 5 days rest when he played in Japan), where he has been awful for quite some time. Maeda has looked much more tired than Kershaw has...and remember Kershaw did have 10 weeks on the DL this season. Aby sacram - Bucky's Pub
An incredible run for sure, especially under the circumstances. Now we have to see how the kid performs on the big stage. I'd be stunned if Kershaw isn't pitching game 5 on short rest btw, no matter what happens today.by sacram - Bucky's Pub
Before the season, I decided not to watch any of Fisher's press conference's during the season. I've adjusted slightly....now I won't even read his quotes, they're just too old and tired.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
enough with hitting .200 hitters multiple times in the same game or giving up game changing 3 run HRs to backup catchers...the time is here to step up. If he can perform like he did in the regular season this post season going forward, we have a legitimate chance. Fingers crossed....by sacram - Bucky's Pub
Roberts has to be manager of the year, hands down. What a great job he has done with this team. I loved the move he made in game 1, even though it didn't work out. He has to do things like that to beat this Cub team. This should be a great series. Hopefully Kershaw won't have to pitch on short rest again in this series, in other words hopefully we can win a game he doesn't pitch.by sacram - Bucky's Pub
I wonder if his speech involved the mentioning of 7-9 bull^%$@?? If the D plays like that the rest of the year, 7-9 might be a stretch....by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
that takes place on almost every play, but the refs somehow come up with that call on a failed 3rd and 13 play. I didn't see the replay, was it blatant? I sure hope so, as if it wasn't I'd wonder why they would make that call in that situation.by sacram - Game Time Forum
not so much by Blanton. I loved him forcing Madden into hitting for Chapman, and Blanton then failed terribly when we needed him the most. God, how could you throw THAT pitch on 0-2. He must've hung a half dozen pitches in his outing...almost gave up back to back to back HRs. Jeez, and hes been so good all year, just brutal. A fitting end too, hitting into a line drive double play. Must'veby sacram - Bucky's Pub
the Giants had a guy named Bumgarner and the Dodgers had Orel. Those are definitely the single biggest factors in the last couple Giant world series and the Dodgers 88 championship plain and simple.by sacram - Bucky's Pub
the same could probably be said for the last couple Giants world series teams with the players that Greg named. The 88 Dodgers had Orel in his prime and the Giants had Bumgarner, and those were the obvious reasons that those teams won.by sacram - Bucky's Pub
wow!! I texted my buddy between the top and bottom of the seventh and told him, here comes the lefty. I was SHOCKED to see Sherzer back out there to face Joc. Joc had something like NINE hits and batted .125 against lefties for the year. Not sure if you guys see it the same way, but just giving Joc a chance against a righty in that situation was baffling to me. And Baker did the same thing lby sacram - Bucky's Pub
Dayton held lefties to 6-43 during the regular season. Murphy (and his .350 average)seems to hit everything, so I would just run my best overall pitcher out there and see what happensby sacram - Bucky's Pub
I've watched enough improbable post season runs by the Giants over the last few seasons. Watched the line around the corner at our City Hall to get a glimpse of the trophy 3 times, enough for a lifetime for sure. The Dodgers are on their improbable run....BUT its going to be tough. Holding my breath....by sacram - Bucky's Pub
after some more Dodger heartbreak. Extremely bizarre managing by both managers today. Why Roberts went with his second best option from both his lefties and righties with the bases load was just weird. Blanton seemed like the obvious choice to come in instead of Baez and also Dayton over Avilan? Seemed obvious to me, and I would've said the same thing if they got out of it. And then Duby sacram - Bucky's Pub
Sweet!! Thanks for posting Mark!!by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
a blatant miss to Quick who was a couple steps behind the secondary. I think he had a couple others that were close, but I think that may have been the only one.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
Not including this week's game, It looks like 2-5 for 80 yards and 1 TD when throwing a pass between 31-40 yards, which probably is probably pretty good ratings wise compared to other teams. I wonder where the 5 attempts ranks in the NFL?by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
he is a defensive player who played in the game and talked about their game plan. Sorry if you don't like the quote and what the DB said the game plan was.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
he of the 2 INTs, one returned for a TD: "We just kept going with our game plan. Sure enough, they still never threw the ball downfield."by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought I heard that the rain that was supposed to come, never came at all, but I could be wrong. Both teams do have to deal with it indeed...we'll see what happens tomorrow. Hopefully Maeda got all of his bad pitches out of his system the first 2 innings last Sunday. Fingers crossed.by sacram - Bucky's Pub
Every post season seems so weird with the Dodgers...just weird *&$% happens. Hill looked so dominant and then he just gave it away against the bottom of their lineup. And then there is the absolutely totally, unclutch hitting...that seems to happen every post season as well. Hopefully this post season is going to be different, but today's game looks very familiar.by sacram - Bucky's Pub
Grandal and Hill blew this one. I'm not sure what is worse, Grandal grounding into a DP with the bases loaded and then a 3 pitch strikeout with the bases loaded once again, both with one out....OR Hill hitting Espinoza TWICE, who is .208 hitter and then after hitting him a second time, giving up their backup catchers SECOND HR against a lefty all year for a 3 run shot with TWO outs while nuby sacram - Bucky's Pub
of the reporters, announcing the rain out in Washington yesterday, while standing in the stadium in daylight, without a hint of rain anywhere. It seems that it may have been "rained out" because they didn't want to conflict with the Cubs prime time game....O and now both teams have to fly out west tonight and play at 1PM tomorrow, as the beloved Cubs are playing in prime time once agaiby sacram - Bucky's Pub
we all had high hopes for the OLine. So far, probably the biggest disappointment on this team...they just haven't performed. Without them performing better, we aren't going anywhere....they played about as well as Yasmani Grandal did today. Whatta horrific, but not surprising LA sports day once again.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
All 3 of the defensive linemen were questionable this week, so shouldn't they all be returning in the relatively near future? Obviously if we miss all 3 of those guys for any signifigant time, we're in some serious trouble, but I wasn't under the impression that was the case.....by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
