Quotedzrams You don’t go away from what’s working. If the passing game is working and putting up points you gotta stick with that especially since the O is usually pretty anemic. Don’t change a thing if it’s effective. The other big reason you stay the course is because Gurley isn’t effective right now. The Rams ball control, power running game hasn’t worked this year…at all. I agree that Boras should continue to call creative plays overall, but in the 2nd half the Rams should've tried to establish Gurley in the running game and they didn't. It was obvious the Rams D were not going to stop the Lions O and I think the Rams should've tried to establish a power running game in the 2nd half to play keep-a-way. Although successful, Boras stuck with the passing game and setby six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm with you on your observations minus your top 5 defense statement. I did agree with Fisher (can't believe I said this) on going for it 4th and inches at the goal. There was just poor execution. Instead of going Jumbo they should've run out of their base formation and CK should've QB sneaked it. Or at least, that's what I would've done.by six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 I know they were missing Quinn and Johnson. But Detroit was starting a rookie RG, missing their starting TE an starting a 3rd string RB. Their pass rush and red zone defense simply aren't nearly what we've seen from them in recent years. The failed TD before halftime (AT LEAST run that over your right side....) and Stafford's short TD with two guys hanging in him probably wereby six2stack - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 The spider drop with Brockers. . I'm not a big fan of that unless it's a couple of times a game, not several. Of course, I'm not a fan of the base nickel/dime defense either. I like a traditional 4-3 because the defense is to susceptible to the running game with the nickel/dime. I think Forrest may be ready to prove himself at SLBby six2stack - Game Time Forum
Gurley was running the ball well in the 1st quarter. I would just keep feeding him the rock until the Lions showed the ability to stop him. It was too obvious though on the last play that got stuffed.by six2stack - Game Time Forum

It worked for the Lions, but dumb call IMO.by six2stack - Game Time Forum
