After watching Hard Knocks last year I just can't imagine Phillips F bombing his players like GW. I remember last year my wife -after watching an episode- said to me "most of these players have been raised in tough neighborhoods and are so used to that language that likely they lost GW early on". Phillips otoh just exudes respect.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
# 3: I blame both sides. The Dodgers knew or should have known that the cables would never absorb the cost to bail out Time Warner. Direct TV is right. There simply are not enough Dodger fans that will pay extra money to buy an entirely different package of programs that include the Dodger games. What they would have to pay TW they would not get back from Dodger fans and they are not in the buby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
"It was everything the Rams let slip through their fingers upon returning home to Los Angeles last season after spending the previous 21 years in St. Louis. Their 4-12 finish did more harm than anyone cares to admit, although one look at the crowd Sunday revealed a humbling reality. The Rams distributed just over 60,000 tickets for their home opener, but the guess is only about 48,000 decby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com

I do think its a matter of vision. If he's got a huge hole then once he's past the LOS he is a very good back. But getting through the opening requires vision unless your running behind the Dallas O line. That could become a big problem for this team.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com

While I have not met him personally, he and all of us share a part of a community that is no less a family than our own. His health and safety is of paramount concern and I wish and pray for his recovery. God speed.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
1) 1951 all over again? 2) Who is responsible for Granderson, Forsythe, Gurierrez, Darvish ? 3) Karma? Dodgers sold their soul to get big, big money from Time Warner and black out 70% of the fans from seeing their games.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
I agreed with most everything you said about the QB but depart with you when it came down to your "criminally incompetent" language. I understand the "need" to make a point-but that's a little overboard for me. But that's just me.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
I hope they do change their opinion. Maybe with the continuous warnings they will. I do hope they remain safe and can stay in contact with you.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
I think you are very naive. Donald may have a college degree but that does not indicate how smart he is when it comes to negotiating a business contract worth millions of dollars. There are solid reasons why players hire agents. They NEED them. Owners are far more intelligent and experienced in negotiating contracts of this size. Most are attorneys and have dealt with this stuff for years evenby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com

Your missing one part of the equation. And that is the strong influence a smart agent-and most are-can have on an athlete. I think its wrong to rag on the tackle without considering this as part of the entire issue.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
"... if what's out there is correct..." and therein is the problem. No one "knows" what's really "out there". It's all still speculation other than what's officially being reported which does not address the specific issues being negotiated. When it gets reported in mainstream news as "facts" then I start to form an opinion.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
That's normal. Most of us feel the same. Something about SCUBA that's comforting being on the bottom, etc. When we're on the surface not so comfy.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
I don't know if there is any fault here. But I do know that if he doesn't play this year his contract rolls over to the next year-meaning he loses one more year before he can be a free agent. I think the Rams hold the cards in this one.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
My focus was So Cal teams. And like I said there are exceptions (Lakers). One of the most difficult hurdles to accept- that the weather, entertainment, beaches, mountains, girls, etc, etc tend to make an athlete just a little bit softer than he might otherwise be- is that there is absolutely nothing that can be done. So I understand how you feel about this My hope is that notwithstanding this phby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
No matter what kind of shark it is you know to get out of the water if they make a pass on their side and their eyes are closed. The Tiger is the warm water great white and there are many attacks in Hawaii each year. They just don't want to advertise it. Not me ! Since the attack on my friend there just are not too many divers that hunt the big yellowtail there anymore. But some do. Roughly 5 yrs ago another friend of mine was spearfishing Guadalupe in open blue water south of where the great whites congregate for the cage divers. The shark charged him on the surface pushing the butt of his gun up into his face breaking his nose-and then disappby waterfield - Bucky's Pub

For the most part (and with a few exceptions) when a player comes west (football, baseball, basketball, etc) they tend not to perform up to the expectations. Why? Several theories but the most prominent (for So Cal especially) is that the weather, beaches, Hollywood, (i.e. distractions) tend to make a professional athlete just a tiny bit softer than otherwise. And that tiny bit softer becomes hby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
At the beginning of your video you see some good size yellowtail swimming by. A friend of mine was spearing big yellowtail at Guadalupe several years ago when he was attacked by a Great White from behind-never saw the fish. His son was on board watching his dad diving. From a fan's perspective it was a terrible call. From a rules standpoint it was the absolute right call. The problem is with the rule which is designed to protect the qb from getting nailed in the head. Where I take issue with the rule is-after seeing the play at issue-is that there apparently is no discretion given the call. If there was the penalty never would have been called.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com

compared to standard business contracts one deals with everyday. Its easy to say a contract is a contract and one should always abide by its terms. But sports contracts are so often re-negotiated during their duration that it becomes accepted and almost commonplace. This is especially true when a team wishes to make sure it can hold onto a special player by rewarding him or her for their performby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
