We get wind storms strong enough to knock out power from Nov. thru Feb. every year. Really hate it when the power goes out especially when last more then 24 hrs. One thing I've noticed they seem to have gotten really bad at predicting them in recent years. A couple years ago they said we were in store for a real bad one and we ended up not even getting a good breeze. Last real bad one was in theby SeattleRam - Bucky's Pub

QuoteJamesJM and I don't mean the way Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc define "Classics" meaning anything that came out last year. Anyone know of a movie streaming service that shows the bulk of all the old Black & White movies? I don't mind color... that's fine... but I would like their library of movies to include all the old Black & White films as well. Posted before that it'by SeattleRam - Bucky's Pub

Quotesstrams with the exception that it rapes history and is 3 hours long.. but, still a great flick and the Battle of Sterling HAS to be the best period battle scene every filmed.. But its THREE hours long, so very rarely do I sit down with the intention of watching it cover to cover.. Same with The Green Mile.. its just so dadgum long.. but a great flick.. Every time I see that film I can't believe it was made in 1939. That film was 20 years ahead of its time.by SeattleRam - Bucky's Pub
Saw a interview with Kevin Costner once where someone asked him about Waterworld and he said that it was a flawed movie and that almost all movies have some flaws. With that in mind I think the most flawless movie I've ever seen is Lawrence of Arabia. I just think that's as good as movie making gets. In recent years I've been rethinking what exactly is a classic movie to me. I'll use a coupleby SeattleRam - Bucky's Pub

Very cool, don't think I've seen the northern lights since I was a kid, but it was in northern BC about 60 miles from the nearest town so zero light pollution. It was amazing. If you've never been in the middle of nowhere with a view of the night sky, jump in the car and find a spot. Its worth the trip.by SeattleRam - Bucky's Pub

So I just watched a 60 min. episode on TY from last year? Anyhow it showed how they've had great success with a new treatment for certain types of brain tumors. They inject them with a modified polio virus and the bodies natural immune system destroys the tumor. People that were given a few months to live are now cancer free. Don't know is they've tried it on any other types of tumors.by SeattleRam - Bucky's Pub
Not a great film by any means but from what I've read its historically very accurate. Its about a battle between a German battleship and three British cruisers. Its been upscaled to 4k. No idea how they do that but watching a film make in the 50s in 4k is amazing..by SeattleRam - Bucky's Pub
