I felt they did what was needed to win the game. Changed field position and kept the defense in position to dominate. Maybe, I have dummied down expectations too far, but I felt that the offense did enough to contribute giving the parameters of how the game was flowing. Of course, if the defense wasn't so good, I probably would drop the grade to a C- or D+ but I felt that Seattle wasn't gby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
2nd drive of the game, Rams are totally moving the ball in offense. After getting points on the first drive, looks like they have another first down, but guess what Flag again on 73. That changed the flow of the offense. 3 straight 3 and outs. than in position to run the clock down to 2 minute warning, another flag to save Seattle a timeout which turned out to be a non factor, but could hby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Those would be my grades. Offense was so much better and actually had a competent NFL Passing game. Defense just shutdown Seattle altogether, and special teams only mistake that I remember was Austin not moving up to fair catch the one, but 3 big field goals. I loved that Austin cause 2 crossing pattern routes for big chunks of yardage.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com

They actually had some crossing patterns with Austin and did some other things well. Without those first downs to change field position, there is no win.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
and had similar physical skills as Austin. (Maybe not as physically strong as Austin, but smaller, fast, quicker player that was small in height) But he could run routes that WR typically run in addition to the plays Austin does. Many of the players were great players yes but there were common elements that led to the common theme that I believe to be true. The players did seem well prepared. They did all seem to be fundamentally sound. And there was improvement in the players. 3 QBs out of the scrap pile all turned into very good performers and all played a similar way and had similar strengths. He gets yards running receiving and special teams and has the most touchdowns. He does suck fundamentally as a WR, but better coaching would fix that part of his game and make him a more complete player. But he has made more big plays than the entire collection of Rams WRs over the past 5 years and scores touchdowns as well. I don't doubt that he isn't as good as he should be but that isby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
It isn't mathematically possible. At some point there will at least be field position and a field goal after getting a first down or 2.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
would make this current Rams team a playoff contender with better offensive coaching. But I agree that is a bunch to give up for a Alex Smith caliber player.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com

first home game ever. embarrassing Monday Night loss a little desperation 0-2 is unlikely to make playoffs. Heard stat the other day but very low percentage make it to playoffs. Seattle star QB injured BUT I don't know because of last year Seattle unlikely to be caught off guard. They will most likely be more than ready so it won't be easy. I think Seattle will win it in aby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
but bad coaching means they are not prepared to play and are lacking of fundamentals. Look at the patriots. They have 2 nobody's at WRs and they produce at a higher level than this collection of #1 round and #2 round picks that are fast, quick, strong, have size, good jumping and quickness. May not be a bad way to go with this mess of an offense. Punt on 3rd down sometimes to improve field position for defense What is the 3rd down conversion percentage on season.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
But he is a competent nfl qb that you can win with now. Goff had a bad break starting a career out with this offense and this coaching staff. It will slow his growth but if he has the talent and it factor, he will overcome this slow start in time. He may not be as good as he should be but he could make the best out of a bad situation and still produce.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Players were prepared for any scenario or situation that may come up in the game. They were one step ahead of the opponent. Players knew on this play if the defense takes away this, do this instead, and there were options and reads and players were ready and could make the decisions because it had been accounted for. In addition, they were all so good fundamentally. The WRs were the besby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
He basically runs straight to a spot and turns around and his deep balls are a product of the complete disregard of the incompetency of the Rams offense. Basically, the defense is willing to give up 1 big play a game when they can disregard big chunks of the field in the middle (short and Deep), Sidelines (Deep). I rarely see Britt in motion and do in and out patterns, or crossing patterns,by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
These WRs are poor fundamentally. Britt does get deep though and they do take some shots and have had success. The stats show it. Remember that is one of the 6 plays, through it up for grabs deep on play action. 1) Gurley Off Tackle 2) Austin screen 3 yards behind Line of Scrimmage 3) Austin sweep 4) Britt run out 10 yards and turnaround pattern 5) Tight End slipping out to the side oby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
If it happened 3 days ago, I would understand, but this was decided months ago to move to LA. This is bad to even discuss as a factor by anybody associated with the Rams organization.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Talent is better than practice squad days but the results are not much better. Quick, Britt, Austin have the physical talent, but just have no receiver fundamentals. Bad player development / coaching but I much rather have these guys than the practice squad days.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com

The predictability of the Rams offense was clear and evident this past week and much has been said in the news. The 49ers knew what was coming and had swarms of defenders around Gurley and Austin in the backfield. I am going to go back and get the exact Steve Young's comments while announcing, but the predictability is not the biggest problem.
