All it takes is one and the others copy off each other. 1) He played in a very basic system with a handful of plays. He had no concept of an NFL offense. 2) He was a fundamental wreck 3) He played in position that wasn't a playmaking position which is what a top 5 should be reserved for with exceptions of NFL ready players. Every team in the league, the fans think the picks are bad. Expectations are about the typical results. If somebody did analysis and posted the number of draft picks by round, by position, that were like pro bowlers, starters, made the team, didn't make the team, I believe fans would be surprised on the percentage in the upper categories is much lower than they think.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
QB with the right coaches and WRs. He basically is Goff his rookie season. See the difference between Goff in year 1 vs year 2 That year 1 is what Bradford was up against most of this career. Last year week 1 with the Vikings is what Bradford's career would have been had he landed with somebody like McVay or Mike Martz.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
1) Despite a very diversed scheme with tons of plays and options that spreads the field and creates space, I feel he boxes players into a certain role. These receivers run these routes and that receiver runs those routes. I think he could mix and match and could have given Watkins a ton more short stuff instead of just running him deep over and over. 2) His hurry up offense was dreadful laby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
To me, that is the key to turning around a bad team.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Not just I think he sees double when the ball is in the air on those deep passes. I know he isn't the tallest guy, but he is strong and fast and should make more plays on 50/50 balls, but he can never get himself in the proper position it seems.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams could have doubled down and gotten an entire draft for that #2 pick who turned out to be just a guy that piddled in the league for a few years. Even the best case scenario on that pick, develop a guy for the end of a 1st contract where you may lose him, makes no sense. and to boot, it was not a playmaking position which is what a top 5 pick should be. Somebody who touches the ball orby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Watkins really is not a good deep WR because he can't just the pass and make adjustments. They never used Watkins in the short game like he should have been used where he could get physical in catching the ball in traffic and bouncing off tacklers and turning 5 yard gains into 15 yard gains. Cooks will be a better deep homerun guy that clears out space for sure and that is his role. The oby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, I was perfectly fine that Bailey was a great player too. Holt did fine with the Rams.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
be on list, but never heard the name. Andre Reed, Westbrook, Cunningham, Mike Anderson, Otis Anderson were 5 of the players Can't remember the other 5.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
depends on point of view. Gurley and Donald are excellent players. Goff appears to be franchise QB. Those 3 players - pretty impressive to acquire. That is the positive On the negative side: 2 of the 3, however, played poorly for Fisher because of his offensive limitations in his approach and how he developed players on that side of the ball. Fisher has to realize that had hby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
It is like somebody asking a parent which of their kids they like better or Bird vs Magic or Lebron vs Jordon There is plenty of love to go around. I could care least if Wentz is a great player. I only care that Goff plays great as well.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Probably been spelling it wrong for decades too. Name isn't in print enough to get it right. :) The worst part of it is that even his local fans never really appreciated himby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Just watched a NFL network show of top 10 all-time underrated players and no Issac Bruce. He is so underrated that he can't even make an underrated list. 5th all-time receiving yards and was #2 only behind Rice until the modern age of football with no touch rules and more passing allowed Moss, Owens, and Fitzgerald to pass him up. Imagine that and he gets no Hall of Fame look. Hby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Very promising player. My big concern, however, is how bad he was with time management when trailing. Some of that falls on the coach too. I will say this. Unless the Rams clean that up, the team will fall just a little short. There will be exciting play and a good team that makes the playoffs, but you have to be able to come from behind in the 4th quarter a few times a year I believeby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
I believe he was outstanding with the Bills averaging a 1000 yards on a dreadful offense, but felt he underachieved with the Rams. I believe he doesn't prepare well and doesn't take care of his body and needs to clean himself up. There is no way I can prove that - just a hunch.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com

Down late in the game and the Rams are trailing and they almost got a delay of game penalty.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
but I am going to complain until it does. Great coach though and maybe it is part of the process. There was so much to fix with the offense, it can't all it done in 24 hours.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
To me that is a key hurdle to overcome. The Rams record when trailing at the start of the 4th quarter was bad and they piddled on the hurry up offense. JUST GOT IT OFF. Biggest series of the year was when they were trailing and burned up so much clock that almost got a penalty when trailing late in the game and then didn't have any time left when they got the ball back at the end of the gby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Goff and Gurley are the posters while Fisher has to tell prospective teams that he will be a hands off head coach in regards to offense if he is a head coach again. Have you ever seen a situation where 2 players look so bad with one coach and the following year look so good for a different coach. That almost all came down to "Coaching".by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
That he is willing to hire an offensive coordinator that is in tune with 2018 NFL and he will stay out of his way. He has to say that to be considered, because being at the bottom on offense year after year is too much to overcome to have a winning team.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
The Saints and our ex defensive coordinator defensive assistants under his leadership talked about ending his career in pregame prep and that is exactly what happened. They achieved their goal. Farve and Manning were also premediated career ending bounties. The man deserved jail time not a one year suspension. At a minimum, a lifetime ban. Maybe 90 days of jail and a life time ban.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com

I think he was confused and wonder about his ability to absorb info, as well as his ability to focus, maybe creating lack of trust.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Remember, Kupp and Gurley and even Woods will get their numbers called often. Watkins may get more looks and have a different role that helps him.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
in the 2nd and 3rd rounds for a slightly lower pick, may makes sense. Basically, these players are rating so close, you really don't know what is going to happen so having more picks may be more important than having the higher pick. Now, if you have a pick somewhere between 6-10 and you can get a playmaker I be tempted to keep it. Trading that 1st or 2nd pick for an entire draft looks goby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
As great as a coach McVay is, he used Watkins wrong. He should get a high volume of underneath stuff where he can use him strong body and good hands in traffic and run after the catch. However, the Rams had Kupp and Woods for that role.. I think McVay likes everybody to fit in a certain role and restricts them. Watkins role was to run deep and clear out space and catch an occasional deepby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
I feel he isn't as good as many believe, but still probably top 10. He has been blessed with playmakers most of his career and if you follow, when some go down with injury, he loses his effectiveness. He also has failed in most big games. Yet, top 10 or maybe even top 5 QBs are hard to come by and he came up for renewal at a good time. That is the way of pro sports so good for him on getby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
