He almost looks like he's shot putting the ball out there. I don't remember that about him from before this year, but I never really watched him that much.by psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com
Brees will get it. When he broke the record, everyone realized that he's the best player to never win an MVP. He'll run away with the award barring a Saints collapse.by psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Tavon Austin will be out of the NFL in 2 or 3 years. He'll probably bounce around to a few different teams, but he won't get a long leash with any of them.by psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com
They have to clean house on D. Guys like Chancellor, Avril, and Sherman can't be counted on after their injuries. They were reportedly trying to trade Sherman the last 2 years because of his contract, so I bet they cut him this offseason. Their backups have played pretty well this year, and are cheap. Even without investing a ton of draft capital, they could still have a top 10 D with Wagner, Wriby psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteGone were “Victory Mondays,” a staple under Jeff Fisher that rewarded players with easier days following wins. Wow, this explains so much. Is it any wonder the team couldn't string together more than 1 or 2 wins in a row?by psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com
They need to get Reynolds in there when they get to the red zone, IMO. The dude is supposed to be elite in jump ball situations. I would think Higbee would be good at that too, being 6'6".by psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com
People love to @#$%& on Fisher these days, but I don't think he deserves all of it. His main fault was not bringing in a top OC to fix the offense, but Schottenheimer was pretty well respected in 2012. Very few fans were really unhappy with that hiring at the time. Trying to replace Schotty in 2015 was a lot harder than people realize (and it's still not clear whether he was fired or he quit).by psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteSaguaroHave never been a fan of the motivation by yelling loud and f-bombing technique. It seemed as the year wore on that you could see it having less and less and less effect in the players faces. My impression is that this coaching staff sometimes relied more on emotional pumping than detailed preparation. Did anyone else catch the joke by Aaron Donald on the sidelines of one game? Quoteleafnose Wade only got 3 new pieces to work with. Wonder if he is an afterthought in this draft, or?? I count 4 out of the 8 draftees as Defense, and 7 of the 11 UDFAs. Although, 3 of the first 4 picks were Offense, and 3 of the last 4 picks were Defense. I think it shows that they feel pretty good about the starters on D, and were just looking for depth.by psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotemoklerman Rivers wasn't even on the team in 2003. In '04, Brees was playing at a pro-bowl level. The light came on, whatever you want to say. Yes, that's the point. Brees was so bad in 2003 that SD took a QB early. But then Rivers held out, so they were forced to start Brees anyways. You make it sound like they knew that Brees was going to make the Pro Bowl in 2004, and that was really nby psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com
QuotemoklermanAs far as Brees/Rivers, I think you're either giving Keenum too much credit or forgetting how well Brees was playing. Rivers sat because there was a legitimate pro-bowl QB in front of him. And really, SD shouldn't be congratulated on that whole situation. They gave up on Brees too soon and were unnecessarily put into a QB competition. This was not the situation at all. Wikipedia pby psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJeff Fisher “We know what Kenny (Britt) can do, and Tavon (Austin), and obviously we’ve seen what ‘Coop’ (Pharoh Cooper) can do as well. It’s the guys that have been dropping the footballs. It’s the Brian Quick’s and some of the younger guys. We’ve got to be more consistent catching the football.” Coach really isn't screwing around with Quick.by psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamBillThe Rams, not entirely pleased with their cornerback play, gave an increased number of first-team reps to cornerback E.J. Gaines, who missed more than a week of practices with a hamstring injury. The Rams continue to rotate Gaines, Lamarcus Joyner and Coty Sensabaugh opposite Trumaine Johnson. If Gaines can regain his form, that would be a huge lift to the defense.by psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com
You want your starting WRs to block well, because you're probably going to run more out of 3 or 4 WR sets. It's more important for the 4th and 5th receivers need to be good on special teams, IMO.by psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com
Quick is a total drive killer, similar to Cook last year. The consensus everywhere seems to be that he should be cut.by psxpaul - RamsFootballFans.com
