I give you a pass on this trainwreck because you have given us two Super Bowl appearances and one win before your 40th birthday. I've been a fan since 73. Knox, Robinson and Fisher never even made a Super Bowl. Only you and Vermeil won one, and he's in the Hall.
But PLEASE don't lose the lessons of this season.
1. You have to have a top 10 O line for your system to work. You can't trot trash like Evans out on the field. You're just giving out sacks and killing drives.
2. When your running game finally gets going, STAY WITH IT. That one drive our backs carried us all the way down field, then you got cute in the Red Zone and it cost us four points. How do you think that makes the backs feel?
3. For the love of all that is holy can we get a kick returner with a brain? 20 yards of field position is a big damn deal.
