The Monday Night Countdown crew said the 49ers love playing the Rams at home because for the past 3 years, the Niners have lost badly the week before they play the Rams, but then they play the Rams at home and have beat them every time. I can't remember exactly the term they used but the gist of it was that the Rams are great ego-boosters because they've been a sure-win.
