Thats Everett . He didn't have to make the extra move. Why make the extra move? Goff put the ball at the spot Everett should have stayed.
No way! That was the freakin' route and it was wide open!
Now Goff misses another wide open shot at the end zone. Dude sucks.
Yeah. He sucks. Sensationalism loses arguments.
If only "sucks" was an exaggeration. Goff has been playing BAD football for weeks now. Missed 2 wide open TD throws on the last drive. What do you call it? Blaming a bad throw on Everett running a good route doesn't seem like a good argument either.
That was NOT a route. There is zero logistics that would say that is the route. Who in their right mind would draw a route that would mimic a man running from a sniper.
His route was clean and perfected. Goff is the QB. Goff put it at the straight line. Everett had beaten his man badly and had no business doing more. He improvised and the QB put the ball exactly where Everett's trajectory should have been. Goff is the QB. He knows the route. Everett is not exactly brilliant. It was text book. Everett improvised.
Collinsworth sure thought it was a good route. Thought it was a "lay up" that the QB has to complete. A double move is hardly a unique thing and considering that the double move put Everett wide open in the end zone I'm inclined to believe that the call and/or route was done to perfection and the throw was bad.
Considering the next throw to Gurley was also bad I'm further inclined to think Goff was just off. Again.
Double move put him open. Straight line. Goff is QB. Be reasonable. He sent it to the straight line trajectory. Perfectly placed straight line trajectory.
