Hi, guys. Frustrated to not be able to see Goff's 1st start. Just following the comments here and the ESPN game log.
1 thing perhaps to look for. The best way to get a young QB going is to give him throws ON 1st DOWN! Put him in the hole with 3 and long after predictable running game failures, and it's damn tough. I gather that happened on drive 1?
Then, apparently, he got some early down throws in drive 2. Big difference.
And count me among those who say a RB needs a QB threat to thrive.
Obviously, it won't always work. An INC on 1 down can be hard to come back from. But probably the results would be the same with predictable runs.
Throw on 1 down, guys!
Well, them's my 2 cents from here in snowy Minny, blind and wondering.
