A lot of posters in our little group here don't like players that they regard as brash, or flashy, or talkative.
It's probably an age thing of pining for the days when people just kept their noses to the grindstone and did their work quietly. They don't appreciate what they regard as Hollywood flashiness or attention grabbing unless it happens to come from rock and roll guys who are in their 70s.
I kind of understand it, but I don't mind young people being outspoken and demonstrative as long as it's not too vulgar.
